Slow. not capable of doing much
I bought this laptop to replace another HP I had that was beginning to have video hardware issues.
I should have just paid to repair that one!
This is a low end machine, but I expected it to work about as well, if not better, but I was fooled. This laptop is so slow and cumbersome that it resembles a paper weight.
It can't update web pages as I scroll through them. It is not my wifi because my iPhone, MacBook and old HP did just fine. I asked the store if a memory upgrade would help and they laughed and told me that it is not a performance laptop.
Not asking for much. Just check email and see my facebook feed.
As far as I am concerned, HP has lost a loyal customer. If this is the junk they are selling, I will just take my business to a company that builds decent computers.
Any advice or suggestions on what can be done to restore my faith in HP to make this computer a little quicker?

Airport Extreme 2nd generation on a roaming network: is it capable of doing this?
I am having difficulty setting up a roaming network using a 2nd generation Airport Extreme and Airport Express. Airport Utility doesn't "see" the Airport Express when it is connected to the Airport Extreme via CAT 5 cable. Apple support document for setting up a roaming network references applicability to Airport Extreme 3rd generation. Is a 2nd generation unit not capable of doing this?

I bought the new, and my first MacBook Pro 13" a little over a month ago for college and love it, but have started to realize a couple problems I can't seem to solve. The bottom of the MacBook becomes very very hot in a short amount of time, and I really don't think I'm doing much to cause it. Another issue is while I watch a Youtube video in HD, even if it's completely loaded, it skips every so often and is slow and also makes my computer very hot. When I try to scroll up and down to view a web site, it also sometimes skips. I really never thought this would happen to Apple computers and hope someone can help me fix these problems! Try a reset. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider.

MultiVideo Chat...Not capable?
I'm trying to initiate a multiperson video conference using iChat, 2 iSights and a built-in on a MacBook Pro. On each of the machines we get the same error message:
Cannot Start Video Chat
Your computer is not capable of initiating a multiperson video chat.
Any idea why this is? I'm using 1.5GHz and 512MB of RAM (looking to upgrade, any help much appreciated) and there seems to be no obvious problem to why they won't connect. Any hints?I had 340.8 down and 241.7 up (both kbps)

Those speeds are fine for a one-one iChat. The G4 Powerbook won't host a 3-way because of the hardware check that iChat does, not allowing a G4 to be the host.
My guess is you have a router between you and the DSL modem which is not correctly configured for iChat. If this is the case, turn on UPnP if you router has that capability. If not, you need to configure port forwarding or port triggering on the router to open the appropriate ports for iChat.

Plz help!!!In my opinion LabVIEW would be up to the task. However on important thing to note is that you can write inefficient code in any language. I would venture to guess that if you wrote the C++ code (sounds like you don't have much experience in that arena) there would be more risk of writing inefficient code than in a language you have experience with. In addition, LabVIEW makes it easy to support parallel processing which can improve your performance. Parallel programming in C++ is non-trivial. LabVIEW is a fully compiled language and doesn't suffer from performance hits you get from interpretive script languages.
BTW, the problem you described doesn't sound very taxing on a well written LabVIEW application.
You may want to look at some of the videos of the demos from this year's NI Week. There were some extremely powerful applications that very doing some very heavy duty number cruntching and data acquision.

Oh, I see that the title of your post is an error message? Ok. Well, the test class is declared as implementing an ActionListener. That means the test class must have an actionPerformed() method. Your test class apparently does not.
It does not appear that the test class needs to implement ActionListener. You are using annonymous classes as listeners. -
How do I clean up mail in my icloud? I have already deleted old mail (from all my e-mail accounts) on all devices, and emptied the junk & deleted files, but it still shows that I am at max on my icloud. What do I do to free up space? (photos & apps do not take up that much room). When I go to manage storage on any device & it will display how much room each program or app is using, it still shows that my e-mail is taking up the most room. Is there a way to actually log on to the icloud server to manage what it stored there? If so, how do I do it? Also, on a related subject, why does my mail not sync accross all devices? ie. when I delete an email on one device, why do I still see it on all my other devices? How can I change this?
I have an iphone5, ipad2, ipod 4th gen, ipod 3rd gen, all running on my same apple id - but I have a PC not a Mac home computer - is this part of the problem? Looking to upgrade to a Mac sometime this year...

Mail is backed up automatically. If you make backups automatically, open Mail application and then, open the Time Machine app (in /Applications/Utilities). You will access to the Time Machine interface, and you will be able to see all your mails of all the backups you have, and you will be able to restore them. It means that your mails are backed up onto the Time Capsule -
Webi Error - Driver not capable
Hello,
One of our users is getting "Driver not capable" error on 1 webi report, but can run another without the error. These 2 reports come off seperate BEx querier.
We have BO SP2 FP2.5.
SAP authentication is set on BO server and roles are imported.
All the universe connections are set to SSO.
BEx does not have any authorization variable.
There are some prompts created in the universe.
Any resolutions?

The user gets the error while refreshing the webi report, after answering the prompts.
What do you mean by customized? I have created a couple of prompts in the universe.
I isolated the error to 1 objects "calendar day". if I have the object in my Webi query, the user gets the error. If I remove it from the webi query, the user can refresh the report without error.
BTW, the BEx query runs fine for the users with calander day.
We have another user getting the same error on 3 other reports. But none of them use calander day.

I have installed Feh from the community repos, along with imlib2. according to the official website, feh can open SVG files, but I get an error...
feh WARNING: /home/jaydoc/archlinux-artwork-1.1/logos/archlinux-grad1-dark.svg - No Imlib2 loader for that file format.
So is feh capable of doing this or not..? Am I missing any needed dependency..? I don't want to use inkscape etc, as they seem to have a lot of dependencies.

I tried using gqview to set the wallpaper. trouble is, when I log out and back in, Openbox is unable to 'remember' the wallpaper used. When using feh, I used the eval cat command in autostart. Is there something similar for gqview too...?
anyway, I am now using feh to set the wallpaper - because I need to use imlib2 anyway to use scrot., so feh adds just 0.25 MB more..!
I browse images with gqview and can set the wallpaper with feh from it.
In the gqview preferences go to editors and add feh wallpaper with feh --bg-scale %f as the command
I put mine #2 under gimp so while browsing images in gqview i can hit control 2 and it sets it as wallpaper or right click and go to edit>feh wallpaper. -
We are using Lync 2010. This question relates to the LCSCDR database.
In Lync, if a call is not answered, and does not go to voice mail, is anything recorded in the Lync database ? Are there any options to make Lync store a record of unanswered calls ?
Is there a way to tell from the LYnc database if a call was answered by a person or went to voice mail ?
I cannot see anything in the sessiondetails table to indicate any of the above.

Sure - it's not really meant to be a full-fledged dictation software solution. If that's what you're looking for you can purchase the just released (I think) Dragon Dicate 4 for Mac. At $200 it's not cheap but I've used it on Windows-based machines and it does, as advertised, deliver 99% accuracy.
It's also very important to have a good USB mic/headphone set. The one that comes with Dragon will do but I prefer the Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 headset.

my newly bought i pad 4(4gs), ratina display, is not letting me doing anything. it is saying 'this ipad hasn't been backed up. backups happen when this ipad is plugged in, locked, and connected to wifi'. i have tried to powered off by pressing the top right hand button till the red slide comes up. but it is not sliding to the right. could anyone help me out??
Locked, refers to the device being plugged in with "slide to unlock" being displayed on the screen. To recap - your device will automatically back up to icloud when it is connected to power, the screen is locked, and it is connected to a wifi network.
-Wifi is required to limit impact on your data plan.
-Power is to ensure the device has sufficient power to perform the backup.
-Screen lock - to make sure the device is not in use - which could slow or stop the backup.
The initial backup may take some time. Plug it in to the wall before bed, and make sure it is connected to your wifi network. The backup SHOULD be completed when you wake up in the morning.
