Hello. I have AV player hd. When I touch and hold the Quicktime icon that is in a received mail message, a prompt comes up "Open in AVPlayerHD". I click on that and a black screen opens up with the following on it:
1--A red line at the top with a short white slider button on the right hand side. There is a time listed at each end of the red line that says 00:00
2--On the left hand side of the screen, near the middle, there are 4 icons, a colored 'x', a dialogue icon, a circular arrow and an 'i' in a circle.
3--On the right hand side there is a + and a - sign with '1.00x' in the middle of the two.
4--At the bottom of the black screen is a play icon plus forward and fast forward icons.
When I press the play icon it changes to a stop icon.
So, even though I have AV player I cannot play this Quicktime slideshow.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

What type of reset were you doing, a soft reset via the home and sleep buttons, or a reset back to factory defaults ? Have you tried another soft reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Yes, unfortunately apple did get rid of picture frame with ios7 and a lot of people are complaining about it. Pretty annoying cos I like to use my iPad to display photos. Now we have to rely on third party apps.

If you turned it off in the process of doing a full restore, yes. If you turned it off in the process of restoring it from an iCloud backup, it depends. You may be able to turn it on and resume the restore; otherwise you'll have to restore from the backup again.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

The iPad mute bell keeps popping up over and over. It is turning volume down as fast as I turn it up. I have reset and restored the iPad to the original settings. Nothing has worked! Any other ideas?

The iPad mute button continues to pop up over and over. If I turn the volume up, I can watch it decrease just as fast. The icon stays. I have reset the iPad twice, and have reset it back to manufacturer settings as well. The problem continues despite my efforts.....any other suggestions? It is completely upgraded to the newest iOS version. And I was not having trouble before this upgrade.

If I had it in a case or had my finger on the switch these would solve the issue. Or, if the mute bell was only coming on when the volume button was pressed, how ever, it is coming on at random times and will go away for a few minutes if I hit the home button, but then reappears. I want to use numbers on my iPad mini for a team I coach. I have a spreadsheet on my mac I want to import onto the iPad mini for players to enter in wellness ratings. On this spreadsheet (on the mac) I have a conditioning formatting rule that when a player enters in their numbers the cells fill with black so others can't see their entries (to maintain privacy). Will this function import across onto iPad numbers? From the discussion I saw on this site it only partly answers my question stating "it cannot be edited" does this mean the conditional formatting rule cannot be changed and therefore will still work or the whole spreadsheet can't be edited and you can only view the spreadsheet and make no new entries to it?

Yes, I have posted this thread to different forums after I realized that Lenovo "customer care" is not likely to help me out and even wirelessforums.org members couldn't come up with any ideas for days, that's why. I have already written that helper applications like SMAC (or etherchange or macshift) don't work, because they do the same thing in the system as I change it in the driver panel, so they use the same method which simply does not work.

Or you mean it's locked from software, because Lenovo or Broadcom didn't want their users to change their MACs or they just forgot to release a fully-functional driver? Well, then I would like to have a driver in which it's not locked, because this is a basic feature of my adapter of which the hardware is capable.
I have already contacted Broadcom, see their (automatically-generated) answer in my initial post, but I will try to do that again with more foresight.

Apple has stated that Siri will be availble in iOS 6 only on the new iPad and the iPhone 4S. The iPad 2 reportedly lacks a special noise-cancelling circuit present only in those devices, so while none of us here can say with certainty, it would appear unlikely that Siri will ever be available on the older devices.

I just bought the iPad Air for my wife as an upgrade from the iPad 2. Now she is telling me that it is buffering (loading, lagging) her show's a lot more than before. Is there any way to check the wifi signal strength, speed, or settings?
I have checked the wifi speed with 2 different lap tops and they are very close to each other.

After reading a lot of ratings and reviews from the app store, OOKLA has not made it work on a iPad.
Love the app on my phone and run test all the time on my computers. Not a hater! But after the update the app does not run as smooth as it did before
