    Hi Ding27,
    What is the commands used on the other two PCs? Why not take use of Device Manager to install the proper drivers?
    It seems to be a little problem when using the pnputil command.
    You may take a try with the following:
    pnputil /a /i  <file path/inf file name>

  • Install of Elements trial fails when installing Shared Technologies

    Have tried installing the Elements 10 trial on both an XP Pro and a Win7 Pro PC and have the same problem.
    Install of trial fails when installing Shared Technologies and then rolls back the install of the Elements Organiser.
    Anyone seen this before?   Any ideas?

    Can you please make your question a seperate thread?
    It would be helpful if you could please provide us the install log for it. Install logs can be found at C:\Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Installers\ with name Elements STI Installer 1.0 <date>.log.gz
    Use a decompression utility such as Winzip to uncompress the .gz file. Once uncompressed, you will have a new file without the .gz extension. The filename could now be something like "Elemens STI Installer 1.0 11-21-2012.log."
    Open the .log file using notepad
    Copy the whole log and paste it here.

    I'm getting two "dependency cycle detected" warnings when installing nvidia driver on a fresh arch system:
    xorg-server will be installed before its nvidia-libgl dependency

    It's not 'normal' but if everything is working fine, no need to worry. They're just warnings, not errors.

  • Windows update error 800f0246 when installing printer driver

    I have Win 7 pro 64 bit and an HP3520 printer.  HP site says a Windows 7 driver is available via windows update.  When I go into Windows update, the drivers shows up under optional downloads.  When I try to download and install it it fails with error code 800f0246.  All other updates install fine.  I tried multiple times with the same error.
    When I go into device manager the printer is listed under other devices with an icon indicating a driver issue.  When I try to update the driver it finds the downloaded driver that Windows update downloaded.  I select it and it fails.
    I have Windows 7 beta still on my laptop and the printer driver installs from windows update just fine.
    Any ideas?

    No go.  Uninstalled, rebooted, tried to reinstall again, still failed.  Fails when the printer is disconnected as well.  The HP site does not have a driver for manual install.  Any links for a driver lead to here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01874792&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=305968    Those steps do not work because the driver in windows update fails to install.

  • Windows update fails to install graphic driver

    Hello everyone,
    I have a problem, I recently installed Windows 10 Technical build 9926.
    Windows update shows me that there is a update available for my Nvidia geforce GT 520 M card.
    If I install the driver the installation fails.  I have tried this for a couple of times but the problem stays.
    Does anyone have a solution for this problem.
    My System specifications are:
    Windows 10 Technical preview build 9926 ( upgrade from windows 8.1 via windows update)
    RAM: 6 GB
    CPU: Intel Core i5 2430M
    GPU: Nvidia geforce GT 520M

    For what it's worth, as a rule, I NEVER install the video drivers offered via Windows Update. They have always been bad news for me. Case in point: I just upgraded my Dell Optiplex 9030 AiO to the Win 10 Ent Preview Build 9926. This PC has an AMD Radeon
    R7 M265 video chipset in it, and the system automatically went to Windows Update to get the driver for it. As soon as the driver activated, the screen went blank and stayed that way. The only way to fix it was to roll back the the driver installation
    with System Restore. When the PC rebooted, I unplugged the network cable so it couldn't attempt to install the flaky driver again. I downloaded the latest drivers from AMD directly and installed them. That fixed the problem.
    So, my advice to you is to use the latest Windows 8/8.1 drivers for your card from the manufacturer's website. DO NOT USE VIDEO DRIVERS THAT ARE OFFERED VIA WINDOWS UPDATE. Other hardware drivers are usually okay, but the video drivers always seem to
    be whacked in some way.

  • "FILESYSTEM CHECK FAILED" - fresh install, clean partition

    Hi,
    I just installed Arch on my Asus EEE 701SD. Since GRUB is extremely slow (takes about 30-45 seconds from "loading..." to menu) I've set up my /boot on a separate flash drive. However, booting the new installation gives me the "FILESYSTEM CHECK FAILED" + maintenance shell. I've tried running fsck with various options but none of it has helped. Apparently, the partition is clean so I'm not quite sure what's going on. Any suggestions?
    Cheers:)

    The hook "usb" should work too, so I don't think we're on the right track here. But since it doesn't hurt you can add the actual kernel modules to the modules= line:
    usbcore ehci-hcd (and/or uhci-hcd) usb-storage and maybe the filesystem used (and it's dependencies like ciphers).
    Greets,
    demian
    // I guess I'm a slow typer. Why don't you show us your /etc/fstab?
    From what you've written the system shouldn't be able to boot since there's no fstab entry for /boot. Maybe I misunderstood you.

  • [Wireless] MBP 9,1, error when installing b43 driver

    I followed the guide for the 9,2 Macbook Pros, and tried to install the driver for b43. However, I get the following error when I run 'make':
    gamma% make
    make -C /lib/modules/3.13.7-1-ARCH/build M=/home/glitch/compat-drivers-2013-03-28-5 modules

    make[1]: Leaving directory '/usr/lib/modules/3.13.7-1-ARCH/build'
    Makefile:103: recipe for target 'modules' failed
    make: *** [modules] Error 2
    I didn't find anything in the wiki about this, so I'm turning to the forum.

    That page gives some horrible advice.  Not only are you trying to build a module that is already included in the kernel, but this page tells you to do it in a way that will result in untracked files in /usr.   Essentailly you are trying to build a module from 9 months ago for the current kernel.  Even if this were what you needed to do, you should be using the Arch packaging tools to install it with pacman (its actually super easy).
    If you still want to use b43, just install the b43-firmware from the AUR.  This will pull the firmware out of the broadcom sta driver with the b43-fwcutter package and use it for the b43 modules.

  • Java ME 8 Permission check failed when opening a serial port

    I have a larger Jave ME8.1 application that was going well until I tried to add one last piece, reading and writing data from a serial port. This was left to last because it is trivial, at least in most programming languages. The is IDE NetBeans 8.0.2 running on a Windows 7 PC. The platform is a Raspberry Pi B or B+ (I have tried both) with the most current Raspbian (12/24/2014 I believe). To simplify the process I created a new app with just the open and close code and this generates the same error I am experiencing in the larger application. The program is as follows:

                connectorString = "comm:" + SERIAL_DEVICE + ";baudrate=" + BAUD_RATE;
                commConnection = (CommConnection)Connector.open(connectorString);

    I have tried this with three different serial ports, /dev/ttyAMA0 (yes I did disable the OS from using it), an arduino board /dev/ttyACM0, and a USB to RS485 adaptor /dev/ttyUSB0. All of these ports could be connected and use normally with both a C program and terminal program in the Pi. The API Permissions were set in the project properties / Application Descriptor / API Permissions to jdk.dio.DeviceMgmtPermission "/dev/ttyAMA0". This of course was changed as I tested different devices.
    I found a reference suggesting adding the line "authentication.provider = com.oracle.meep.security.NullAuthenticationProvider" to the end of the jwc_properties.ini file. This had no effect. I found references that during development in eclipse and NetBeans, the app is already elevated to the top level so this should not be an issue until deployment. This does not appear to be the case.
    I am out of time and need a solution quickly. Any suggestions are welcome.

    Terrence,
       Thank you for responding and confirming the issues I'm having with static addressing.  As far as the example above, I do have the standard LEDs working correctly, however, the example I'm referring to above is from the JavaME samples using the GPIO Port for the LEDS, according to the Device I/O Preconfigured List you referenced:
    GPIO Ports
    The following GPIO ports are preconfigured.
    Devicel ID
    Device Name
    Mapped
    Configuration
    8
    LEDS
    PTB22
    PTE26
    PTB21
    direction = 1 (Output only)
    initValue = 0
    GPIOPins:
    controllerNumber = 1
    pinNumber = 22
    mode = 4 (Push-pull mode)
    controllerNumber = 4
    pinNumber = 26
    mode = 4 (Push-pull mode)
    controllerNumber = 1
    pinNumber = 21
    mode = 4 (Push-pull mode)
    So is the assumption that using GPIOPort for accessing the GPIO port for Device ID 8 as listed in the Device I/O Preconfigured list not supported?
