Slug Text in Illustrator Separations not printing

We've just installed CS3 on a new computer and in Illustrator the text that should be in the slug line will not print. All the text in the art and separations prints fine but no color separation info is printed. Are we missing a font or something else wrong?

Sorry, I thought this might be more of a setup issue...
This machine is Win7 and I just checked for Updates and none were found...

Illustrator file not printing correctly

How do I set my Illustrator file to print clearly?
I am designing a simple label (3.75 x 1.25 inches, black and white) that is mostly text based. I tried printing directly from Illustrator and also as a converted PDF (high quality) and the results are the same - slightly blurry and fuzzy text.
The printing problem seems to only happen when I try to print Illustrator files and PDFs converted from Illustrator. (Printing with a laser printer.)

With some adjusting the artwork actually prints ok, not great, but not as bad as the text, which I created outlines but still fuzzy.
After doing more research, I don't think my laser printer (Brother 2270DW) is postscript and I can't find a driver for that specific model and for a mac.
I've tried printing eps, opening pdf via preview (which some suggested), print as image, uncheck bitmap, use PCL setting on the printer... nothing seems to work. I guess new printer? Or is there another roundabout way?

Standard text in the Window not Printing...

Hi,
I have two pages in a scripts . In the First page I have 10 windows.But in the windows section , I have total 18 windows.
In the windows sections i have a window with name ' WINDOW3'. But it is not there in the Page windows menas it is not there in the First page. But the data is coming.
in the same way , I have one more window 'WINDOW4'. It has standard text. it is also not there in the first page of Page windows. It is not printing.
Why the Standard text is not printing ?
The same Standard text is printing in another script..
Paragraph format ever thing is good ...
if the window is not there in the page window , will it print or not ..?

Even though the Window is not there in Page windows, it is printing for some windows like window4.
Why it is happening ...?
Layout is customized but print program is stanadard...

Illustrator CS6 not printing all of a sudden

Hello,
It's been a while since I needed to print something using Illustrator on my home computer, but just now when I tried, it gave me a lot of problems. Firstly, it checked "Print to File" by default. When I went to uncheck that option and hit okay, bringing that window back up showed the Print to File checkbox still checked -- so it's like it never saved that I unchecked it. When I go to print right after I unchecked Print to File, it shows a loading box (like when Illustrator is performing an intensive action), which goes to 7% and then stops and never continues.
I can see how perhaps it would do that for an enormous document with lots of stuff going on, but this document is a regular default preset 8.5"x11" CMYK 300dpi sheet with a few vector shapes, a pattern background, and some text. I also just as a test, tested a new document with a simple squiggly line path and nothing else, and it did the exact same thing.
I tested some other programs in the Adobe suite as well. InDesign has the same problem. However, both Photoshop and Fireworks prints fine. Photoshop I even tested with only vector shapes to see if perhaps it was vector vs raster that was the problem, and it still printed fine.
I noticed that Illustrator is defaulting to a print preset called 'Custom' instead of the normal '[Default]' that I'm used to seeing. Setting it to [Default] does nothing to help the issue, but either way I was also wondering how to reset my print presets, if anyone knows.
For reference, this is on a Windows 7 64-bit PC with 4GB DDR2 and 300GB free HDD space. I know for a fact that this same hardware setup and windows installation has printed Illustrator documents just fine before.
Any ideas?

Anyway, updates applied. Crash still occuring.
For full disclosure, the crash is only happenning currently on a specific file. Sadly, that specific file is the project that I am currently working on. If this is an isolated case, then I can live with it, but the problem is that I've now lost all of my work from yesterday and I'm worried that I'll end up losing all of my work again on the next version of the file.
This is the first time that Illustrator has started acting up and it appears to be out of the blue - no other app installs or fonts or plugin's etc. I have had some random photoshop crashes as well as of late, log is below for that if that helps.

Text in ADOBE form not printing while printing the form

Hi All,
I have created an adobe form and am trying to trigger an output linked to the form. The problem is that the output that gets triggered does not show some of the texts which are existing in the form.
So although the values are coming correctly the overall output becomes incorrect as the text goes missing. Let me know if you have any pointers to the issue I am facing.

First of all you need to put this question in Adobe Form related Forums.
Problems can be many in this case.
1: Overflow subform not selected.
2: Some condition failing in the text or subform.
3: Incorrect nesting of subforms.
Mainly your problem will be with the subforms , so you need to croos check all the subforms which you have used to hold data.

Illustrator is not printing whole artboard.

My art board is 1066mm x 83mm. Width of my paper is 1075mm.
I am printing with custom size to those specs. Everything looks good on print preview.
Printer is pushing out about 4 inches of blank paper. Then prints only the first 11 inches of what's on the art board.

Is this a problem with one pdf or all pdfs. If it is only one pdf it is possible that the document may be a scan and that the scan was done at very high resolution. If it is all documents, then please let us know what your OS, your printer and printer driver is.

Printing from Illustrator does not match Photoshop

I have CS3. The colorsuite is matched across all platforms so colour profiles are all the same.
I print pure cmyk colours in a document, so one square is cyan, another magenta and so on.
When I print from photoshop, it prints the colours correct. Each colour is printed from each printers colour cartridge directly. But when I print from Illustrator, its not printing purely. The colours are darker and have mixed colours under a magnifier.
Ive tested on different printers and with colour management off on their drivers so should use adobes.
Any ideas why Illustrator is coming out muddier? Many thanks in advance.

Yes the mode is definately CMYK in photoshop. See the images attached of scanned closeup of the print out of yellow.
Yellow below is how it looks when printing from Illustrator and Acrobat. You can see its added dots to it.
Yellow below is from Photoshop. You can see its pure yellow which is what I want.
Edit: Just tried Overprint: Simulate in Acrobat. No change.

AI not printing parts of file in color

Hello,
My problem is Adobe Illustrator will not print certain parts of a flyer I created in color. The Left side picture prints ok but the text "Art Department" prints in b&w.

if the text looks bad you have an overprint on, and can use the attributes panel to remove the checke on that item.

As the SAP vesion is 4.6c...and they have no support package for printing using samrtforms.
but other reports, which prints the labels in the warehouse are printing the barcode labels....
and I am using the same printer........so definetly it should print.
but I dont know what mistake I am doing........

HP printer will not print

Running diagnostic - colors print fine. Tried many programs, pages, text edit, mail - will not print letters and numbers.
HP printer - using MacPro - wireless
HP C6300 series.
WiFi connected and no problem. I was told I had to uninstall printer and then re-install. How do I uninstall?

The queue is on the computer, and if you reboot the computer, the queue is cleared. The question is, was the printer working before? if so, post the model of the printer, how is it connected to the computer, what is the OS of the computer, do you have the hp full driver installed or not.

Smartforms lines not printed

    I am using 4.6c.I have designed a smartform using templates.I have choosed the frames patterns in templates.In print preview everthing is perfect,but when i try to print this,Its showing only the texts.The lines were not printed.Its a complex format,So i used templates to do that.
Actually we dont know whether this an ABAPER problem or basis problem.
Cany anyone help me with step by step procedure what to do this.Because this is urgent.I have taken a copy in laser printer,Dot Matrix printer too.
But in no printers the lines are coming

     i also faced the same problem.
     i think basic problem..
anyway i will say how i managed,
1. just create window (width of the window should be .04)
      in output option of window -->in preview select the one sided line(right or left).
2.create a text in that window with simple dot(.) in text editor (window will not appear without any content in it so to provide some text we have provided dot(.) ).
3. place the window where u want line.

Annotation does not print

I have a text annotation that does not print even though it was created with the Print flag set to true. The example PDF can be seen at http://home.fuse.net/mikebrungs/output.pdf
The popup text note in the upper left hand portion of the page is viewable in the PDF but will not print out to paper no matter what I do. Hopefully someone can help.

On the Adobe knowledgebase page for Reader it indicates that you can choose to print comments from within Reader, but this is not true. I am using Reader 8.0 on a Windows computer, and just want to be able to
print the comments on the page from Reader so that I don't have to bug the designer (who has Pro) every time I want to print with comments. Can this be done, or not. And if not WHY NOT!

Print a PDF
If the desired printing option is in the Print dialog box, set it there rather than through the printer driver. The computer you wish to print a PDF from must be connected either to a local, shared, or network printer and be configured to use that printer.

Standard text / Text module not printed correctly in Adobe forms

Hi All,
I need to print the dunning level text which is static. I have created text module and standard text with the same static text.
In the content I have created the text with text module tyoe and given the text module name. Similarly I created the include text as well.
But the text is getting printed continously, eventhough I have maintained as paragraphs.
For Example: I have maintained text as    TEST1
                                                                   TEST2
                                                                   TEST3
Now the same format shud be printed in the output. But TEST1 TEST2 TEST3 is printed.
Can anyone help me out how to print the text as in the above case and what is the reason for not printing in paragraphs.

1. ead standard text by FM READ_TEXT.
2. Read text lines content Read internal table LINES into wa_lines.
Concat wa_lines-tdline into string separated by as CL_ABAP_CHAR_UTILITIES=>CR_LF.
Bind that String to variable to text.
That will display text as you create.

HP Smart Web Printing will not print text

Using IE 8, Attempting to print out sections of a post on a message board. I can use the select tool to select text areas, but it does not go on to the next step. It sits there with the text highlighted but does not give me any side menu to go on to either edit or print the area selected. I have the latest version of the software, also.

HP Smart Web Printing should work with vista and IE 6, 7, or 8.
To uninstall a program go to the control panel and look for a program maintenence option. Select it and a list of installed programs will appear. Select the one you want to uninstall and go for it. Before trying to install SWP again, check to make sure you have the latest version.
