SLVR S7 Help

I'm trying to load songs onto my SLVR and it isn't showing up in itunes.
How can I tell if my SLVR has itunes? Where would there be an itunes icon (or where would one be missing) if I had it?

Go to the main menu on the phone, by pressing the center select key, and look for the iTunes icon. If you bought your SLVR L7 through Cingular (in the U.S.), it will have iTunes, but not all versions sold outside the U.S. through other operators do.
Assuming that your SLVR L7 has iTunes, if it does not show up in iTunes when you connect it to the computer via the USB cable, the first thing to check is that the TransFlash memory card (in the slot on the right side of the phone, under the little rubber door) is inserted properly and seated securely. You might try removing it and reinserting it, just to make sure.
If the phone still does not show up in iTunes, the next thing you can try is reformatting the flash memory card on the phone. From the main menu, go to Settings, then Phone Status, then Storage Devices, then select Card and press the center Menu key, then choose Format. This will erase the entire contents of the memory card, which hopefully will fix the problem with iTunes.

I need desperate help with Itunes for the SLVR

I have a set playlist for Itunes to take songs from and put onto my phone when it is connected. That playlist has 56 songs, but when I click autofill, it only puts 31 songs down. As I add more songs to the playlist however, it only takes certain ones. For example, for every 7 songs I download into the playlist, it only takes 2 or 3. The phone has tons of space but I don't know, need desperate help, thanks in advance.

i know i have the same problem the only one thing i have noticed that is consistant along with this problem is that songs that will not go on it are all of them have a higher bit rate than songs that do go on the phone but thats the only real thing i can notice so if someone can show me how to lower the bit rate if its possible that might be the miracle cure

How Do I move my contacts from my SLVR to my Macbook?

I want to move my address book from my ATT motorola SLVR (it's ancient) to my macbook in advance of getting an iphone(way too many experiences with losing contact info when i get a new phone). i have bluetooth, and they are able to connect. but what do i do next? your help is much appreciated!

Open iSync in your applications folder. Use the "Devices" menu -> "Add Device" to add your SLVR. Once your phone is added, select it and click "Sync Device".

ITunes not syncing more than 1 song at a time with SLVR

I need some help with Itunes and syncing it to my son's Motorola SLVR L7. It seems that if I try to sync more than 1 song at a time, it fails out saying that it can not find file. I can sync one song at a time, but I have to disconnect and reconnect the phone each time. It would take forever to do 100 songs. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
I also have 2 iphones, v1 and have not problems with them.

Yes. Click the first track, and hold CTRL while you click additional tracks. Then hit Delete.
(If the tracks you want to highlight are in a row, click the first, hold Shift and click the last.)

TS1539 Will itunes allow the syncing of a motorola slvr 7 on my windows xp system? If so, how do I do it? I want to sync to itunes

I have an old Motorola SLVR 7 phone that I was able to download/sync 100 songs from my itunes. Now I can't. The SLVR doesn't show up on itunes any longer. Is there any way I can. I have Windows XP. Thanks.

When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive. It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas? I'm wondering if restarting the computer might help but have been afraid to do so in case it would make it harder to recover anything...I was looking at this thread https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4211589?start=0&tstart=0 in the hopes that it might have a helpful suggestion but it's definitely a different scenario.

Installing Logic 9 UPGRADE Help

Hi,
I've been using logic pro 8 since it came out, (got it part of logic studio) and i just bought the logic studio upgrade today so i can run logic 9, aswell as mainstage etc.
Ever since i put snow leopard on my mac i've had quite a few crashes with logic, when it crashes it gives me the report that it's due to my 'camelPhat plugin' but sometimes it doesn't say it is that.
The guy in the apple shop said i would be best to totally uninstall logic studio 8, then reinstall it, then install my logic studio upgrade, then reinstall my plugins e.g soft synths etc
He said that logic was probably crashing due to some things not being built for snow leopard, like my plugins.
I was just wondering what anyone thought of this? Is it worth while, am i likely to encounter any problems or would i be best just leaving it as it is and installing my logic studio upgrade over the top as it already is?

installed logic 9 upgrade next to LP 8 last week. Running on an imac intel 20 inch from 2008.
It's all working like a breeze. Worked on some pretty heavy projects. No crashes or any other problems.
I really really like Logic 9. Flex time and Bounce in place all already worth the update alone, although i think 200 euro's is a bit too expensive, compared to the price of the normal package (i think 400 or 500 euros)
Anyhow, i love this stuff. Soo much more intuitive and quick than Cubase, which I've used for years actually (and which is also a very very good program, but logic just beats it for me)

ITunes crashes everytime I connect my Motorola SLVR

When I connect my Motorola SLVR...
SLVR says "Do not disconnect"
iTunes attempts to update device and crashes with "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
iTunes version is 6.0.2.23 on this laptop.
Works fine on my desktop PC running previous iTunes version.

You should collect a crash log and send it to Apple so that the engineers can look at it.
Typically, you'll need to configure Dr. Watson on your PC in order to generate crash logs. Windows start menu -> Run. Type in "cmd". Hit return. At the prompt in the command line window that comes up, type in
drwtsn32 -i
And hit return.
This will create crash logs in Documents And Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Dr Watson\. There'll usually be a file in here called "drwtsn32.log"
So, get the machine setup to collect crash logs, do the thing that makes iTunes crash. Send it to the Apple moderator as well as information about what version of iTunes you're using. Tell her Toonz sent you. It doesn't hurt to put the URL to this discussion thread, so that whoever gets it has some context.

Motorola L7 SLVR bluetooth sync in 10.4.7

My question is regarding whether built in support for this phone, the L7 SLVR has been added into 10.4.7, or is it still left out. I tried to find a list for supported bluetooth sync phones, but the apple list I came accross was unclear as to if it applied to usb or blue tooth.
So if you have any experience or a link to blue tooth supported sync phones please let me know

I have a V3i with the exact same firmware, and prior to the 10.4.7 update could only pair my phone via bluetooth but not use any services. Since the update I can sync, file transfer and connect to the internet all via bluetooth. Seems someone has sorted something out somewhere. Hope this helps.

SLVR L7 mp3 converting into iTunes

Sorry if this question has already been answered but I need help.
I have almost 200 hundred songs on my computer in the mp3 format is there a way to convert them into the iTunes format? If so, could someone please walk me thru the process because if there is no way to do it what a waste of money for the SLVR!

you don't need to convert anything to the 'itunes format'. The SLVR plays mp3s just fine. All you need to do is import them into itunes. once they're in your music library, you should be able to simply drag/drop them onto your phone. Make sure that you set itunes to downsample everything to 128kbps aac, or the file won't play on the slvr (took me a while to find this out =/)

Problems adding videos to my SLVR L7

I was wondering how I could get videos to run with my Cingular SLVR L7 itunes. I have converted the files to mpeg4 but still can't get itunes to transfer them to my phone and clicking and dragging directly to the phone just puts the file there and doesn't read it when I check under "videos". Please help I'm going crazy, I've been at this for about 2 weeks. Customer service just keeps telling my to click and drag.

Have you converted the video file that you want to transfer to your iPod into the appropriate format?
Here is a tutorial showing how to use QuickTime 7 Pro to perform the conversion.
Third-party utilities are available that also perform the conversion.

Trying to use iTunes with Motorola SLVR

Just got a Motorola SLVR from a friend and wanted to add my own music to the phone. After installing the latest version of iTunes I keep receiving the message "iTunes cannot read the contents of the mobile phone ~SLVR~." Anyone have any suggestions to help get this resolved.

This was suggested in another forum; don't know if it will help and I cannot verify that it won't cause problems as I haven't tried it myself, but perhaps it will help for your situation:
Plug the phone into the computer, go to My Computer and double-click the drive that the phone is showing up as to open it. You should see two folders; select the iTunes folder and delete. Now unplug the phone, open iTunes and plug the phone back in and see if it then will be recognized by and sync with iTunes.

URG help on mobile port communication!!!!!

I for my college project hav built a j2me application to send data though the mobile phones port into a switching circuit to control hardware. I am using a motorola phone SLVR L6. The problem is it has a mini usb port n the switching circuit i hav built is for serial communication. How do i join these 2! a usb to serial cable dosnt work.
If i replace the L6 with motorola E398 which has a serial port will it work!!!
I hav used midp2.0 and the CommConnection to communicate to the port!

I would recommend that you go on ni.com and search for 'serial'. Also, have a look at the Example Finder in LabVIEW; Help -> Find Examples. There is an entire directory that should help you understand how to design serial applications.

Itunes will not see Slvr

I am running the latest Itunes and now Itunes will not see Slvr. It will sync my address book and calendars but will not see slvr in Itunes. This is a Cingular phone. I hope someone has a fix.

I'm having the same issue. I called Apple and they weren't able to help. This is crazy. The phone isn't even a year old. Is this just a gimmick to get us to buy the new iPhone?
I tried all the fixes outlined on another post and nothing works.

SLVR was improperly disconneted from iTunes and now cannot be read

My SLVR was improperly disconnected from iTunes and when I plugged it back in, it does not register in iTunes.
I am using a USB cable that came with the SLVR phone. The phone still charges via USB and shows up on the desktop when plugged in but not in iTunes.
PLEASE HELP!
