SLVR was improperly disconneted from iTunes and now cannot be read
My SLVR was improperly disconnected from iTunes and when I plugged it back in, it does not register in iTunes.
I am using a USB cable that came with the SLVR phone. The phone still charges via USB and shows up on the desktop when plugged in but not in iTunes.
PLEASE HELP!

I just recently upgraded from a 4S to a 5C. I backloaded the 5 from Itunes and now everytime i plug into itunes, it asks if I want to set up as new or restore from a previous backup. Why is it doing this. I did it twice yesterday..... In addtion, those are the only options I have. I cannot do anything else unless I choose one of the two. Zero options. Phone works fine though.
I figure that either of those options will result in losing all SMS and data created since the last backup. Not a major loss, but ** annoying when nothing has changed and the time it will take to restore.
When was the last time you synced your iPhone with iTunes since the backup is updated as the first step during the sync process?
Is there anyway to recover this WITHOUT having to do a full restore or set up as new?
In a word, no.
If I do restore or set up as new, how do I know it's not going to do the same thing tomorrow (like a few other forums threads I've read indicate might happen)?
There is no way to know for certain but I've never experienced the same in the first place. I venture to say having to do this is the exception rather than the rule. -
The iOS 7.0.6 update failed, my iPhone 5S disappeared from iTunes and now is displaying a picture iTunes logo and a USB plug and black backgraound. Turning it Off and On didn't fix it. iTunes doesn't see it. Any suggestions?

I've tried http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 and other suggestions first, which turned out unrelated.
I've finally fixed the issue by plugging the cable in the USB 3 ports in the back of PC instead of the ports in the front, the iTunes saw the phohe and the recovery started automatically.
In the hindsight, I realized that the either the required prerequisite iTunes 11.1.5.5 update installed a USB driver incompatible with my PC's front side USB ports that I always used for my iPhone syncing prior or it was always
incompatible, but worked in all modes except the recovery.

Having finally managed to update itunes to the current version in order to sort the lock screen of itunes ;logo and usb lead, i find that i dont have on the left side of itunes lists, the DEVICES heading for me to click on in order to back up/restore etc..... How do i access this..? I seem to be going around in circles and getting nowhere fast.
Is there any logical reason why the "devices" catogory wouldnt be showing..? or is there any way i can proceed manually without access to this...? HELP..... PLEASE.. THANKS...... -
So I preorered an album from iTunes and now it won't download into my libraray. It says that I purchased it on iTunes, but it won't even show up in the "Purchsed" library in my account. Does anyone know what I am supposed to do to downlaod it?
If you can't enter the passcode then you have to place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore the iPod via iTunes. For ecovery mode see:

Note that this requires using the sleep/wake button. If you are not successful then there is nothing else that I know you can do. -

You cannot delte youtube from the iphone.
It is either on anohter page, in a folder, or you have restrictions set.

You shouldn't have to pay again. Log into iTunes with the same detail you used to purchase the original music and you should be able to download it again.

Hmmm. There's a couple of things that might be going on with that one.
Let's try an uninstall and reinstall of QuickTime first.
If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel. Select "QuickTime", click "Change" and then click "Remove".
If you're using & or Vista, head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select QuickTime, and then click "Uninstall".
You can get QuickTime back either via Apple Software Update (in your Start menu go "All Programs > Apple Software Update" ... QuickTime should appear in the "New Programs" section), or by downloading a QuickTimeInstaller.exe from the following location:

it was a rental from itunes and the previous movie played no problem. From ipad on mirror.
Was an internet connection available?
I'm not sure I would ever play a rented movie by mirroring from an iPad as mirroring is lossy and reduces quality.
It may actually not work via mirroring.

Unfortunately what you need is something that is designed for PowerPC Macs. Stuff that is designed for Intel Macs will not work. The PowerPC (PPC) Mac software is getting scarcer. Macs in 2006 shifted to Intel CPUs. Stuff that is designated Universal will work, and you can buy the retail 10.5 if you have no Mac OS 9 related software that needs to load. If you partition your hard disk, or use an external Firewire hard drive partition just for booting into 10.4.11 or earlier, you can still use Classic for Mac OS 9.
