SM02 System Messages on Web Clearing Content

We have a custom application that recently moved from ITS to an ICF service with our ECC upgrade.  When we post a system message, the next time a user posts to the web page the system message pops up.  For example, when this his "Save" to commit their data.  This is a good thing.
The problem is when the end user confirms the system message or closes it the web page refreshes and the end user looses all of their data.
Some info about the changes:  We're using the SAP Web Dispatcher with HTTPS (ROUTER) as a pass through load balancer (should not be the problem here) and we moved from HTTP to HTTPS for all access so the content is now stateless (this is a big maybe since the user context is still in memory).
Is anyone away of how to handle ICM generated pop-ups without the application refreshing completely?

  • Widget for SM02 system messages.

    Hi Experts,
Can some one help me creating widget for system messages. The requirement is for creating widget which pops up a message when there is some new message created in the bw system. We have BW 3.5 system.
Currently we have a real time cube based on the background table of SM02 messages. We have made a report which displays the active system messages. This report is displayed in a widget. What we want is to hide this widget.
Whenever there is a change in SM02 there should be a JavaScript pop up for the user displaying the new message.
    1. If there are no messages in SM02 then nothing needs to be done.
    2. Once a message is created then a pop-up comes up.
    3. One more message is created then pop-up comes up with both the messages.
    4. One or both the messages deleted then nothing needs to be done.
I'll say thanks the sdn way...
    Regards,
    Sujit.

  • Scrambled email messages and web page content

Over the last 2 days I've been experiencing some problems. The content in some of my emails (and on some web pages) is scrambled. It looks like hundreds of fractions on top of each other rather than understandable messages or information. Can anyone help?

    Hi tnov
Search your system for the font Helvetica Fractions or Times Fractions, Phonetic, IPA, Hebrew, or Greek and try removing them.

  • System message (like SM02) in AS Java

    Hi,
I want to know if there is a chance to display a system administrator message to all WebDynpro and portal users currently logged on and logging on next.
A similar functionality is available in transaction SM02 in a R/3 system.
    Thanks in advance
    Kilian

    Hi Kilian
It is <b>possible to send a System Message</b> like SM02 in a Java System.
Do the steps as described below:
    go to
    <b>http://<server-ip>:<port>/sld</b>
    login to it then
    go to <b>Administration</b>
    In Administration under <b>Server</b>
there is <b>System Message</b>....click on that
From there you define a system message that is shown to every user who logs on to the SLD.
    Set the expire time also.

  • History --.System messages (Sm02)

    Hi,
Any way to know the  history of the system messages ? ..here is the seanario :
1.There was a System messge erroneously sent on SM02
    2. Want to know how to get to the history of SM02

I hit on another problem --> the entries are zero. I think the table itself is not  being logged !- this is not in PRD but in DEV
This is not a logging issue. It is quite likely that messages were deleted.  At the time of creation, SM02 messages can be set to automatically delete at a certain time and date in the future. They can also be deleted manually before that pre-set date is reached. Deletion of messages (either manually or automatically) deletes it from archive and that's why you don't see them.
Run a simple test: In your sandbox, create a couple of test messages. One with auto deletion option with very short life-span and another one with a longer life-span. You will notice that you will see both messages in archive as long as you do not delete any manually BEFORE they are set to auto-delete. And once the auto-deletion time is reached, you will notice messages disappear from archive.

Removing strange software can be a task.  The following outlines various ways of uninstalling software:
    Uninstalling Software: The Basics
Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash.  Applications may create preference files that are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder.  Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space.  If you want you can look for them in the above location and delete them, too.
Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application.  In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.
Some applications may install components in the /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder.  You can also check there to see if the application has created a folder.  You can also delete the folder that's in the Applications Support folder.  Again, they don't do anything but take up disk space once the application is trashed.
Some applications may install a Startup item or a Log In item.  Startup items are usually installed in the /Library/StartupItems/ folder and less often in the /Home/Library/StartupItems/ folder.  Log In Items are set in the Accounts preferences.  Open System Preferences, click on the Accounts icon, then click on the LogIn Items tab.  Locate the item in the list for the application you want to remove and click on the Delete [-] button to delete it from the list.
Some software use startup daemons or agents that are a new feature of the OS.  Look for them in /Library/LaunchAgents/ and /Library/LaunchDaemons/ or in /Home/Library/LaunchAgents/.
If an application installs any other files the best way to track them down is to do a Finder search using the application name or the developer name as the search term.  Unfortunately Spotlight will not look in certain folders by default.  You can modify Spotlight's behavior or use a third-party search utility, Easy Find, instead.  Download Easy Find at VersionTracker or MacUpdate.
Some applications install a receipt in the /Library/Receipts/ folder.  Usually with the same name as the program or the developer.  The item generally has a ".pkg" extension.  Be sure you also delete this item as some programs use it to determine if it's already installed.
There are many utilities that can uninstall applications.  Note that you must have this software installed before you install software you may need to uninstall.  Uninstallers won't work if you install them after the fact.  Here is a selection:
    AppZapper
    Automaton
    Hazel
    CleanApp
    Yank
    SuperPop
    Uninstaller
    Spring Cleaning
Look for them and others at VersionTracker or MacUpdate.
For more information visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQs on removing software and dealing with spyware and malware.
After removing all the components of the software you may have to restart the computer to fully disable the software.  This will be the case when removing software that has installed a daemon.  After the daemon has been removed you need to restart the computer to stop the daemon.  Alternatively, you can kill the daemon process using the Terminal application or Activity Monitor.

  • How to pop up a system message for a specific user when She/He log on SAP

    Hi Friends,
As we know SM02 setting will pop up a system message to all users in specific client in a specific period when the user log on SAP system; and we can do the same thing via using function module SM02_ADD_MESSAGE.
But now we want to pop up a message to a specific user ID when somebody log on SAP via this ID, instead of all user IDs in the client. Please do we have any similar traction / function module / class method to to do this job??
    Thanks in advance.
    Joe

Below code can be used to send a pop up message to all users who are logged on to the
    system.
    DATA: MESSAGE(128) VALUE 'Test message'.
DATA: OPCODE TYPE X VALUE 2.
DATA: BEGIN OF USR_TABL OCCURS 10.
    INCLUDE STRUCTURE UINFO.
    DATA: END OF USR_TABL.
CALL 'ThUsrInfo' ID 'OPCODE' FIELD OPCODE
    ID 'TAB' FIELD USR_TABL-SYS.
    LOOP AT USR_TABL.
    CALL FUNCTION 'TH_POPUP'
    EXPORTING
    CLIENT = SY-MANDT
    USER = USR_TABL-BNAME
    MESSAGE = MESSAGE
    EXCEPTIONS
    USER_NOT_FOUND = 1.
    ENDLOOP.
In the above code just pass the desired user ID instead of All user ID's

"Error: The system could not create the message because of an RFC connection "NONE " error Service-specific Csutomizing missing for transaction ZLFN"

    Hello,
check if when you configured your new transaction type ZLFN you have included a corresponding entry in view CRMC_SERVICE_H.
If the transaction type is missing in this view, you have this error.

  • Error in local message system; message 009999000035 not complete

    Hello All.
I have configured Service desk in SolMan 7.0 which has patch level 14 and also configured in Satellite systems. I am using SM_...._BACK RFC connection in BCOS_CUST table. The user used by SM_...._BACK have the following roles in SolMan
    SAP_SUPPDESK_CREATE,SAP_SV_FDB_NOTIF_BC_ADMIN
    and SAP_SV_FDB_NOTIF_BC_CREATE.
However, when I try to create support message (Help --> Create support message) in satellite system, i am getting Error in local message system; message 009999000035 not complete.
I have also checked for Product_ID parameter which is not existing.
One important thing is, I can create support message in satellite system if I give SAP_ALL in that RFC user using in SM_...._BACK connection in SolMan.
So, this shows clearly that it is an issue with role/authorization.
    Please suggest me !!
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Satish.

Hmm not really. Profiles for the roles are also generated?
Those roles/profiles should be sufficient to create support messages.
Even though you assigned SAP_ALL and it worked afterwards I cannot imagine you got an auth. problem here anymore.
When assigning SAP_ALL did you really assign SAP_ALL to the RFC user or did you assign another user (who got SAP_ALL auth.) to the RFC connection?
The user who was logged on to the satellite system when the support messages have been created (with and without SAP_ALL assigned to the RFC user) has always been the same?
Just to make sure: did you set NO_USER_CHECK = X in Sol Man tx: DNO_CUST04?

  • Permissions repair: SUID file system/library/coreservices/remotemanagement/ARDAgent/contents/MacOS/ARDAgent has been modified and will not be repaired

I have a mid 2007 iMac running OS Mavericks and the hard drive is failing. When doing a disk permissions verify it shows  SUID file system/library/coreservices/remotemanagement/ARDAgent/contents/MacOS/ARDAgent has been modified and will not be repaired. I do not have a backup of my system due to my external drive I use for backing up my system has stopped working. Can I repair this myself without having to reinstall the OS so I don't loose my any of my files.

    You can safely ignore that.
