SM58 TRFC Monitoring

Hi,
I have few messages in SM58. I need to look into those. When i select the message and click Execute LUW or Debug LUW, I get following message
Funtion Module Does not exist or exception reaised.
I looked into function module it is RFC enabled and commit work is also present at the end of the code in FM. Please suggest me the way to check the message.

These Idoc's we can execute manually one by one,

Remove entiries from SM58 (trfc)

Hi,
There is IDOC ack message ( A L E A U D ) message get stuck in queue. I have to remove this message from queu.
But when i try , it throwing error "PIAFUSER" can delete this entry.
Please suggest.

Work Flow EVENT - SM58 Entries are not executing automatically

Hi Experts,
I have used the standard BOR2034 for creating PO after saving the contract.
I have developed an RFC enabled FM refering to the Standard FM SWW_WI_CREATE_VIA_EVENT.
Inside the custom FM I am calling the BAPI_PO_CREATE1 for creating PO.
After creating a contract using VA41 I am able to see in Event trace that my Event with corresponding custom FM is triggering.
and the two entries are created in SM58 - Transactional RFC one is my Custom FM name and another is SWF_EVT_HANDLER_START_INTERNAL.
When I execute the LUW by selecting execution, PO is getting created. Where as this entries are not picking automatically.
I want to know, whether I have missed any step in process or do we need to schedule any job for automatically clearing the SM58 queue entries.
Please help me in resolving the issue.

As you say that you see the below entries in TRFC monitor, you need have a commit work after the below FMs are called(just one will do),
the two entries are created in SM58 - Transactional RFC one is my Custom FM name and another is SWF_EVT_HANDLER_START_INTERNAL.
How and from where are the above FMs called?

Setup alert on SM58

Hi All,
We have a requirement to send out alerts on tRFC monitor when SM58 (report RSARFCRD) queue reaches over 20. We run 4.5B and I do not find an easy setup on CCMS. Is there any easy approach to this?

After reading some additional posts, it appear that it might be because I am performing the filter on a calculated column. I will test this now.
I changed the filtered column to one that was not a calculated or system column and it now works.

Hi Niranjan,
Transaction Code: SM58 ment for tRFC monitor. Some times we face the long running Info packages and gives missing message in the monitor. This is due to missing conformation from tRFC queue. We can check the status of the tRFC progress both in source and bw system in this tcode. If the transaction is running its fine if it is recorded or timed out we have to manally push it (F6) otherwise the data load remains yellow only.

Error in tRFC

if u could load first the master data & then load transactional data one after other and not in parallel your problem will be solved .

RFC Monitor does not give much details on the error. Look in ST22 and SM21 to see what is happening.

Error sending IDoc from ERP to PI 7.4 Java Only (stuck in SM58)

Hi specialists
I'm trying to send an IDoc to our new PI 7.4 Java Only.
Because of some authorization issues I changed the RFC Destination <blabla> on PI (nwa) pointing to the ERP system.
Now the IDoc is stuck in SM58 (tRFC queue) and I get this error message:
The IDoc Destination <blabla> was changed. Refresh the destination instance with
Meldungsnr. SR053
Anyone able to tell me where to do this refresh? I'm new to PI 7.4 Java Only and could not find useful answers on SCN and other internet sources.

I carefully went through it but nothing I tried helped.
The RFC destination (PI -> ERP) is working fine.
The resource adapter (inboundRA) is configured correctly. I can confirm, that the connection test of the RFC-Destination inside ERP (ERP -> PI) is successful.
BUT still: sending an IDoc from ERP to PI fails with this message in SM58:
The IDoc Destination <destinationName> was changed. Refresh the destination instance with
Meldungsnr. SR053
This seems to happen every time after one changes some settings in the destination specified in the inboundRA property "destinationName".
So my question still is: how / where do I refresh this destination instance on a PI 7.4 Java Stack Only??? I mean without having to restart the whole PI instance...

Idoc trfc processing very slow

Hello,
I am troubleshooting slow processing of idocs in an Xi test system.
idocs are being processed at a rate of betwen 40 / 60 per hour so at the current rate there will stil be another 3 days (approx) until the queue is cleared.
In SMQS on the Xi (source) system the specific idoc destination is set-up as follows: -

The RFC connection between the two systems has been tested successfully.

I am told by the application team that processing 7000+ idocs is not a large amount for this system
The Xi (source) system and the R3 destination system have both been restarted to clear memory etc but this has not improved speed of processing.
I presume the problem was caused by trying to process too many idocs at once through the Xi system as mentioned in SAP Note 1548446.
I have read SAP Note 1483757 and checked ST03n last minute load on RFC table in the R3 destination system -

In accordance with the note I tried setting the following on the detaination system but did not see any improvement in processing speed so have now removed the parameter and scheduling of the report.
    1. Set the profile parameter abap/arfcrstate_col_delete to 'X' on the default profile of the destination system.
    2. Periodically schedule the RSTRFCEU batch job in intervals of 5 minutes, in the destination system.
Q1 -after setting 'abap/arfcrstate_col_delete' I did not restart the R3 system. Is a restart required for this to take effect?
Q2 - What else should I check to identify why idocs are being processed so slowly ?
Q3 - Is there anything else I could change to speed up processing ?

My issue was resolved by SAP who suggested changing the processing mode for message type in WE20 on the receiver system from "Trigger Immediately" to "Trigger by background program".
With the processing mode set to "Trigger Immedaitely" the sender system calls the receiver, the idoc is stored on the dateabase and the application processing was carried out in the same LUW. As a result of this the send must wait until the application finishes processing the messages before it can anything else.
The processing mode was changed to "Trigger by background program" which decoupled the IDoc transfer from the IDoc application processing, performance immediately improved in the XI (sender) system and cleared the queue.

I am getting No service for system SAPNID, client 800 in Integration Directory in tRFC monitor (SM58).
My scenario is IDOC to File.
I did following step in R3.
1. Created RFC destination pointing to XI systems (name:XID)
2. Created IDOC port (name: SAPNID) and use above (XID) RFC in RFC destination.
3. Create Partner Type LI (Partner No. 3000) and add message type ORDERS, set the receiver port (SAPNID) created above.
XI Side.
1. Create Technical System (Name : XID)
2. Business Systems (Name: R3XID)
3. In Integration Repository.
 Created Data Type
 Import IDOC ORDERS.ORDERS04
 Created Message Interface
 Created Message Type
 In Mapping Object created Message Mapping and Interface Mapping.
4. In Integration Directory
 Created the Scenario (name : FILE_FROM_IDOC)
 Assign Business Systems as R3XID
 Create communication channel(name: FILE_ORDERS_COM_CHNL)
 Create Receiver Determination
 Interface Determination
 Receiver Agreement.
IDOC is triggered correctly but in tRFC monitor I am getting following error
No service for system SAPNID, client 800 in Integration Directory

I do not know whether SAPNID is required or not, earlier I used R3XID as Business Systems at the time of configuration now I changed it to SAPNID. I am getting the same error in both the case.

Messages stuck in the queue... how do I make them to be processed again?

Hi,
I'm new to SAP PI and kinda confused with queues.
I have file -> bpm -> file scenario and there was an error in mapping within bpm process.
When I went to qRFC Monitor (smq2), I see that in XBQO$PE_WS90000002 queue,
there's an error, 'Permanent error in BPE inbound processing'... which is expected.
Now, I run the interface scenario again several times but they don't get processed
but stuck in the same queue. At this stage, I didn't know what to do...
I thought by deleting the error message, other messages will be processed...
I deleted the error message but the other messages are still in the queue...
I have two questoins.
1. What is the best way to handle an error in the queue... can I just delete it? or is there a better way to handle an error in the queue?
2. After deleting the queue, what should I do to make the other messages to be processed again...

Question about Scenario File -xi - bw

I have here a problem, gladly would know whether which I try here am possible, and whether from this description errors are to be recognized?
I developed an example: File --> SAP XI --> BW without proxy !!!!
My systems: SAP R/3 6.20 with XI Add-on
BW 3.10
XI 3.0
Conditions for communication of SAP XI and SAP BW are made.
The data come into SAP XI over the J2SE Adapter Engine interface this are purely not a problem!
1) Desgin
a) In BW the system a infosource was put on, with the structure sees illustration. Afterwards a file interface was provided.

Hi Yves,
have you checked SM58 (tRFC Queue) in XI? If an error happens in RFC Call, there should be an entry there. (make sure to put a * for username in selection screen)
Has the user as specified in the channel the correct authorizations to call an RFC in BW? (auth obj. S_RFC with * or specific RFC name)

SMQ2: how to avoid manual reprocessing in SMQ2

Hi All,
Most of the time in our production server, lots of messages say more than 1 lakh, stuck in Inbound queue and we have to manually reprocess all the messages in SMq2 to make queue empty.
it is a huge human workload.
Is there any transaction or any Job which need to be run so that we can avoid this manual reprocessing of messages in SMQ2?
