Small Biz support down again?
I have tried calling supportat 8666061866 then doing 1 x1x1 and I get transfered to dead air. I get the same on all options under english. My french sucks so I dont know what to test there.
Anyone know when it wil be working again? This is the 3rd time in the last few months this has happened. I have tried calling from both my cell and work number.
Cisco please have someone look up my nubmer under my cco id and call me.

ESSBASE 11.1.2, HFM software installation in Windows Small Biz Server 2011
Hi,
My company is trying to setup/install ESSBASE 11.1.X and HFM and Planning products in Windows Small Business Server 2011.
Is this OS is a supported platform for these products ? Can these softwares be installed in the Windows Small Biz server 2011 without any issues ?

Edited by: 912004 on Feb 2, 2012 2:40 PMIf you're referring to 11.1.2.1 (emphasis on the .1) SBS 2011 integrates Windows 2008 R2 64bit Standard which is a supported platform for Hyperion so it should not have any issues and be fully supported: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/server-cloud/Windows-Small-Business-Server/editions.aspx
HFM 11.1.2 only supports Windows 2008 (not R2)

If you don't want it standalone, then stick in in the Flash Programs, or maybe Dreamweaver also?
Please.... I'm about to update to Windows 7 and I want to be able to use FlashPaper. I'm scared the workaround won't work, especially if I'm on 64bit.

First , I feel I am getting good service from Adobe, as they turned around a version that supported my new camera with a new format in about a month and that was good.
What do I expect?
$10/ Month = $120/year, or $240 over the last 2 years..... AND if you read the small print it is actually $120, payed over 12 months, you MUST PAY the FULL $120 each year, it is not just $10.
Unfortunately I expect as little as they can provide and keep me as a customer. That is the new model, right? Not customer first, but rather a service model like Comcast. Until customer leave you, no need to improve service. Keep churn (number of customer leaving, verse joining) to a reasonable level, and ARPU (average revenue per user) will remain.
Do I need direct support? Well not if the community support helps first, no. If it does not, then yes, I think I do.
Not a flame of you, but rather in the world of software developers bringing new products to market quick, the competition is rising, and to create customer loyalty and continue the $10/month should be of interest to Adobe, or their churn will increase. If I made money from my pictures, $10 would be peanuts, I do not, and $120/year to index, publish and edit is always under scrutiny.
I am looking at open source alternative to PS LR CC when my contract is up (much like I review my Cell plan) to unlock me from the must pay to play. I will PROBABLY stay, as the value of the software with the support level out weighs the lack of features with better support in open source.... I will PROBABLY stay with CC verse perpetual licensing to get new features as the arrive, even though I use less than 20% of what is there now.

I shut down my computer and now it won't restart. It starts, the apple logo appears, the wheel turns and then it's shuts down again. It has done that ever since.
My CD-Rom does not work so I can't reboot using the start up disk. Does anyone know what I can do to make it restart again ?????Try resetting the SMC (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3964).

Open/Save as etc Popup windows don't stay open! just close down again

Ive got a problem on my Macbook Pro, Installed Leopard, and now in most programs whenever I try to bring up the open window or save as etc windows they appear for a second and then closes down again like I have made a selection!
Its really annoying me!

One lame thing worked though. I would hit the command short cut and keep hitting it for a few times. This forces the command window to stay open, and it actually helps getting ridding of the problem temporarily.
I also had a similar but nastier problem in Acrobat. I tried to save a Photoshop PDF file in Acrobat, the Save As window opened and closed right away. Then all the command menus went gray; non of the commands was available including Quit. The only option I had was to force quit Acrobat. However, I didn't have this problem when handling native Acrobat files. The good news is that my lame solution worked. -

Email server down again - why locked?
Email service down again.... yes - it is 2012 and a company backed by ADOBE, charging a premium price for hosting is more unreliable that a couple of kids working out of their garage.
I'm disgusted. No one will give out the names of who is in charge of this sinking ship.
As a work around - set up a gmail account? You kidding me? And who pays for that? BC charges a premium for hosting - we should expect nothing but premium service - not substandard.
BC better be planning some sweet offer to customers to keep them. Mine have all threatened me and want to be MOVED NOW!!!!! what BS.

Paul MessinoPaul, you don't need to set up a gmail account. Where ever you have purchased your domain name and have that hosted likely offers email hosting as well. You can use that.

Question
After a few minutes, the page down won't work without clicking the mouse pointer on the page I am reading to activate page down again. Is there a way to go back to page down working every time without having to click the page first?Today, two other users reported issues with the back-forward history list dropping down if they hovered the mouse pointer over the back or forward button -- without clicking -- and then moved the pointer downwards. One user was on a touchpad, I don't know about the other user. Are you experiencing anything like that?

I like many have been experiencing mail problems since I migrated to iCloud. Was working fine for a bit, then I now either get crashes or a revolving beachball when I attempt to type an email address. Have tried quitting and rebooting...you name it. What is Apple saying or doing to fix the problem. Been like this all weekend.
iCloud mail is down again...mine allows mail to open, then when trying to address an email I get a beach ball and it stays until I quit mail.
That doesn't necessarily mean the mail is down in iCloud.
You can always check iCloud system status here.
If you are using Safari to access iCloud.com, go to the Safari menu bar click Safari / Empty Cache.
Now go the menu bar again and click Safari / Reset Safari.
Select the top 5 boxes then click Reset.
Quit then relaunch Safari, go to iCloud.com
Try Mail. -

If restoring the phone as new did not solve your problem, you'll need to bring the phone to Apple for evaluation.

I purchased an iMac approx 3 years ago. We keep it on almost all the time, however the other night we noticed it was off. We did not shut it off as we were downstairs watching a movie. I unplugged the cord, waited 10 to 15 seconds, plugged it back in, wait for a few more seconds and turned it on. It started up and was almost done booting. Then it shut down again and I have only gotten it to attempt to turn on. (the fan kicks in for about 2 seconds and then nothing) Any suggestions?
Try that process of resetting the SMC two or three more times, sometimes it takes more than once. if that doesnt work I could only suggest making an appointment and hauling it in for service.

I opened the cover (there where the battery is) and I cleaned the dust gently with a dry napkin ...remove the battery and placed it again ...closed the cover and when i turn on my macbook bro now it shows the Apple logo and after some seconds it just shuts down (i have OSX 10.9 Mavericks)....
I tried to boot in safe mode, also tried to repair it and even re-install Mavericks and so on, but I could not fix it. I did a hardware test and the no problems occurred. -
BT Vision down again Do NOT follow reboot advice!
BT vision is down again, the same issue as the beginning of 12th June: cannot play on demand and catch up content, (this time only) error messages VPE 108.
I also have the same complaint that I had on the thread with the same issue on 12th June - which is that the online advice contradicts the advice (WHEN YOU CAN FIND IT) that the 08001690199 gives.
I'll explain what I mean, I followed the online advice after ringing 0800 111 4567 which tells you to follow the online help, after checking service status here: http://www.bt.com/help/home/ -Which said NO issues with the BT Vision service.
Followed all the online advice; reboot hub, hard reset vision box, rescan for channels, reset registration.
After resetting; all the on demand programmes now have charges on them, so I called the 08001114567 number to be told that vision is closed but that I did the right thing by rebooting etc.
I rang back a while later and asked if there was an issue with vision - told that I had got through to Broadband and that vision was closed (I had pressed all the buttons for vision), so I asked for the number for the service status line and she told me the number I had rung to speak to her! (08001114567) I said that there was a line with recorded message that gave the status of all services and she again said the 111 4567 number.
I eventually found the number (I remembered that I had put it in the June 12th thread [have put it in phone now lol).
When I rang the service status number 08001690199 which said: there was an issue and DO NOT reboot as you could lose the service.
I have checked the service status page and it still says nothing IF you view on a mobile / tablet and enter your phone number.
If you press view all service updates - on a mobile/tablet it says nothing (just the place to put your number, then no issues).
Check on a PC then you will then see that there IS an issue.
If following the online advice can cause an issue (and it's not a one off as this is the second time in a month) then there should be a message on the help page to check the service status first.
The service status number should be easier to find (all the helpline staff should know it at least). This would of not been as much of an issue if there had been a message on the main helpline number as there has been on previous occasions (this message should be BEFORE the message telling you to follow the online help.
The service status page should show the same no matter what you view on ( my tablet shows as mobile in portrait mode and PC in landscape).
Reason for edit: I could not play on demand (constant loading, error messages) I had no issues accessing said content.Hi folks

Seriosly, I am very desapointed with new MB´s performance, I have been reading this chat room for the past week, since my bran new Macbook (1 week old) went back for replacement.
All this situation with Macbooks could give apple a very bad consumer reactions in the near future. I am thinking about upgrading to a MB PRO, I havent heard complaints as the ones posted here in the past days.
