Small, but readable font suggestion?

I'm working on a small food product label that has a lot of small copy—primarily directions for use, ingredients, and various other legalese. I'm currently using Arial Opentype regular and bold in a 5.75 point size with auto leading (6.9 pt), but I'd like to go larger. Does anyone have a recommendation on a good font to use for this application? Thanks!

I set a lot of type in that size range and rely heavily on all the various strains of Helvetica. It doesn't look vastly different than Arial, of course, but the availability of a full family of weights, plus the condensed and extended sets make it so much more flexible for copyfitting purposes. Other options to explore might be Franklin and Futura. I wouldn't dare go to a serif. Don't forget to take full advantage of InDesign's Justification settings.

My company is starting a migration from dovecot on Linux using OpenLDAP to Microsoft Exchange using Active Directory. We have fewer than 10 employees, want to self-host and want a secure design that won't break the bank. I originally thought
to have the mailbox server running on one of the two domain controllers and the client access running on a separate server in the DMZ. I've started to re-think this in favor of two independent servers.
Is there a design document out there on options for where to place which server in different scenarios? I see lots of information about large enterprise installations but nothing much for the small but secure installation. Management is set on having
Exchange in-house, so hosted Exchange, no matter how much "more better" that would be, is not an option.

According to your description, I know that you want to migrate to Exchange server on AD from IMAP server.
If it is the case, I suggest check following articles:

Exchange Online is held on Cloud by Microsoft. If you want to hold Exchange server by yourself, On-Premises server will be the best choice.

. It's not clear to me if the default sync for calendar is the iphone or my mac (shows 82 modifications). I want it to default to the mac but the wording suggests the iphone. Also, I don't see any way to do the syncy

This has nothing to do with the Find my iPhone app being installed on the phone, but you do have to have Find my iPhone activated in the iCloud settings on the phone.

Control (right) - click on the photo in the frame and select Fit to Frame Size in the contextual menu.

The activated fonts are not the same version as those in the PDF. If you use Type>Find Font and replace the fonts with ones from your computer does it work?

I just recreated this problem on my iMac (wired KB, no wireless KB) by changing Mail > Preferences > Composing > Spellcheck from "as I type" to "never". Then type a contraction ending in 're and the space bar causes the cursor to jump back as others have stated, to the spot 'r|e
Next, I went into System Preferences > Keyboard > Text, and turned off "use smart quotes" and the problem went away again.
From this point (smart quotes off, spell checking never), if I turn Smart Quotes ON, the problem returns.
The problem is dependent on the state of both settings.
The spacebar in Mail "works" if I have either of the following setting combinations:
Keyboard: smart quotes OFF, Mail: check spelling ANY SETTING
Keyboard: smart quotes ON, Mail: check spelling AS I TYPE
Other combinations FAIL
Keyboard: smart quotes ON, Mail: Check spelling NEVER
Keyboard: smart quotes ON, Mail: Check Spelling WHEN I CLICK SEND
Looks to me like there's a bug in Mail > Preferences > Check spelling > NEVER and WHEN I CLICK SEND that interacts badly with Keyboard > Smart quotes ON.

SuperFrench is found but this font can not display any text

"SuperFrench" font comes from Autodesk. this fonts's real file name is supef__.ttf
If it is placed in C:\Windows\Fonts folder then it is available for Windows native apps such as MS Excel.
Java GraphicsEnvironment finds "SuperFrench" font
but this font can not display any text.
This happens in both Java6(1.6.0_34) and Java7(1.7.0_06)

I hope Java font system will deal with it.

Hey - this may seem to you like paying twice, but what the hey - when you guys rely on bling consultants, you usually wind up paying two or more times more before the job gets done right.
Any takers out there? Any one want to be charter members of the consortium?
I bet if just a few small but quality companies would take this idea seriously, it would develop its own "cachet" (this is a fancy French word for "appeal".)
And then, who knows? The big guys might start telling a few of their departments to join the consortium, just to make sure thay they too can cash in on the "cachet".

Your idea is nice one, but a I have a story on why it won't work.
I was working with independent consultant on a project. She mentioned one time she was at church explaining what she did for a living. She told minister about all the different places she worked at and consulting company manager she contracted through. The minister asked what his job was? She explained how he found her work and ensured that the company paid for her services.
The minister replied back to her so basically he is your <certain street profession held by males>. She replied back lauging and somewhat shocked yes.
This story is actually true and is probably a good assessment of the SAP consulting market on the whole. Until the business gets away from sharing a lot of similar characteristics with other street businesses, your goal below is less than possible.

Background image size smaller but same quality?

Hi guys,
I just released www.cloudformz.com, It's an advanced formbuilder (Dutch) and the whole theme is that it's a cloud service.
So,how surprising, I use a cloud background (1920 x 1080). My question is, how can I get the filesize smaller, but the same quality.
I am aware of the quality slider when exporting for web, but that decreases the quality sow much that you see artifacts.

Internet users expecting to use "cloud" services would normally be fairly well connected to the Internet, no?
Your background image, http://www.cloudformz.com/img/bg.jpg, is only 64 kbytes. That's already almost inconsequentially small for an image that size... It's a fairly highly compressed JPEG with no color profile info or metadata in it. I don't think you're going to get it much smaller than that without seeing quality loss.
However, one thing to try, with a large graphic containing open spaces and pure, solid colors, would be to save as a PNG, which can be very efficient for such files. However, any noise or gradients in the image at all will cause a big increase in size.
