Small buttons

Is there a way to make the red yellow green buttons larger? The scroll arrows? Bookmarks bar? I don't have 20/20 vision and can't seem to adjust the sizes of these things (unlike PCs) without changing the resolution, which isn't an answer...

Open your Preference window & click on Universal Access. There's some adjustments you can make.

I think CS6 doesn't support Windows HiDPI systems.

Bigger/Smaller Buttons not working in Apple Mail!

Hello All,
I recently used Migration Assistant to move everything from old to new computer.
Everything works in Mac Mail except the Bigger and Smaller buttons for text point size.
I could use Cmmd + Minus/Add signs but miss the button functionality.
Any ideas???

Is the one that doesn't work a layered menu? DVD Player does not work correctly with layered menus, it takes one click to switch to the selected state, and a second click to activate the button.

Small button on macbook pro

HI,
On a MacBook Pro there is a small button n the left side next to the battery indicator. The function of this button is not explained on the apple site nor in the user guide. Who knows what this is for ?

I bought a movie on my iPad. When it was stopped, by the cover pic/description, I pushed a small button thinking it was to finishing downloading but it deleted it. Now it says can't redownload and something about 90 days?? Help!! Just paid $20 bucks :(

I downloaded Monsters Inc for my son for a car ride. It kept stopping towards the end with like 10min left. So I stopped it, went to the screen where you can choose to play it (where the movie pic and description are). I pushed the small butt on to the right of the pic, thought it was like iCloud or finish downloading, something along those lines. Well, it deleted it! In iTunes, when I push he iCloud button next to it because it shows I purchased it, it says something about already bought this and can't download to same Apple ID for 90 days, it says cancel or transfer. Even when I click transfer it didn't help. Please help!!!!! Just paid $20 for this!
Oh it was under my husbands Apple ID too, if that matters. He uses that for his iPhone and the iPad.

Big Button become Small Button after patching system

Hello experts,
we have a produktiv running WD ABAP application, which runs on computers with touchscreens.
Because of that we developed the applicatin with big buttons (standard Ui element button with a big image) so that our user can hit it with their finger. now after patching our systems the buttons are small again and the big image in the button is cut.
Does anybody know how we can increase the size of the buttons?

Hi,
I presume you have upgraded your system from SP<=13 to SP>=14. We have a same problem after we have patched our system.
There was a problem with the alignment of the images when large images were used. Therefore SAP rectified the same in rendering corrections from SP13 which were available in SP14. As a result of which button size remains small even if you use large image.
You can not use theme editor to change the button sizes or image sizes. The only option is to raise an SAP ticket. SAP is already working on the issue as I had raised a ticket for the same. Hope to have a fix very soon. But I suggest you also raise an OSS ticket.

EBS: Buttons on OA Framework page are very small

Several users are getting very small buttons on some oa_framework pages, specifically CUSTOMERS (GO button, CLEAR button) and INTERNET PROCUREMENT. Trying to get more feedback from users about browser versions, and if they can repeat the error. I am not able to replicate the error.
apps = R 12.1.3
database = 11.2.0.2
apps is 2 node
db is 3 node cluster

I added the website to the compatibility view function in IE8, as well as checking the Display alll all websites in Compatibility mode. FYI -- we upgraded to 12.1.3 on May 11th, and the button/functions were working without issue until last week.

Bigger Smaller text button when composing

When you compose and email (dot mac account) with Apple Mail, I notice the bigger smaller buttons do not work. They work when your viewing emails that have come in, just not when I compose. Is this because it is a dot mac account?? I have it set for rich text.

How do I get my buttons to link back to a Symbol?

Hi all -- I am an extreme newbie at Flash and AS3....I've just been reading all I can this past week and trying to put
together what I had hoped was a simple project in flash for our Website banner. I'll try to describe my project and the part that I am stuck at.

You'll see a large green banner near the top of the page that advertises one of our products. In Flash, I have created a rotating banner with five images like the one shown on our site. I have it rotating on an 8-second basis, and I have it so that when someone clicks on my invisible button (the whole banner part) that it goes to that product's web page.
So far, so good. I've also added five small buttons in the bottom right corner, so that someone can hover over them and go back to one of the rotating images if they missed what was shown, etc.
I have figured out how to create the buttons and have them shown red, when hovered on each layer. The part that I am stuck at, is I don't know how once I write my action for each button, to have them link back to one of these rotating banner images. I know this is possible, I just don't know AS3 or any programming for that matter to understand what my options are for the function script.
I have each one set up as an instance so that I can add the EventListener when they click on it, I just don't know what to put other than a URL, since that is all I am familiar with. If you know how to get me to link my project to this forum so you can see the actual project, please let me know!

Put a label in the begininng frame for each image and use those labels in the code. Let's say for that code you showed you add a frame label "red_btn" where you want that button to take you...

Now to a standart mac system these buttons are assigned to open a new window or a new tab in safari but when I customly set these buttons to something else it does both of those things. For example i sat the mouse button 5 to mission control (show all windows) but now if I am using safari it also opens something in a new page if I am holding the cursor on a link.
I just want to know how I can remove that function. To make the mouse button 5 and 4 do nothing.
The system I use to customise the mouse buttons are a separate program. I need to know how to disable this new page function in the mac software.

How I fixed my Powerbook G4 Trackpad Button

I'd like to share a solution I've found to a problem that plagued me.
For months, my trackpad would intermittently act sticky. I thought it was the trackpad itself, but as the problem became more frequent and intense, I realized that it was the button itself.
Because the machine was unusable without an external mouse, I decided to do whatever I could to fix it today. I tried cleaned it with a lint-free cloth, cleaning the gap between the trackpad and the button, resetting the PMU, and resetting the NVRAM. None of this helped.
SO, I deduced that it must be a hardware problem and I could probably fix it since I knew the problem originated under the button itself. So I went to iFixit.com.

Overall, it took me about an hour of meticulous work. Opening the Powerbook went fine. I removed the top cover with some hesitation, but no damage was done. I located the trackpad circuitry and removed the 2 inner and the 2 outer screws. I discovered a very small button, THE button. I clicked it a few times and it seemed okay. Perhaps the screws had loosened over time. I lightly vacuumed the inner trackpad area with a small brush attachment, and I put it all back together.
I have apparently repair the problem completely. I can only guess that some dust got under the area and/or the screws were too lose to operate properly. If anyone is having a similar problem with their trackpad button, I highly recommend that they locate their model at iFixIt.com, locate the correct tools, and carefully remove the top casing in a clean work area.

Zenskanitsky - thanks for sharing!! My trackpad started to act funny a month ago and a week ago it totally stopped working. I didn't want to spend the USD250 for the new trackpad uppercase so I started wondering if I could try to fix it myself.
Well i came across your post and it really helped!! My trackpad button works like new and is very sensitive.
For those wanting to do the same thing, I would like to add some points to Zen's post:
1) print out the instructions from ifixit.com - they are super easy to follow
2) equipment i used was the 75mm philips style screwdriver, and the EC-T6, plus a plastic letter opener (to replace Spudger) to carefully pry open uppercase.
3) I don't have the little vacuum cleaner but i took a cloth and also blew out (with my mouth) any dust that may have been there.
4) When I put everything back together again, the trackpad button was responding but still needed some very hard pushing, so I opened up the powerbook again (which was where I realized it would be easier to just print out the ifixit.com instructions than follow on the other computer)...
5) this time I sprayed a cotton swab ear cleaner with WD-40 and dabbed THE BUTTON with it, until it was wet. Then i clicked the button with my finger and dabbed more WD-40 on it.
6) When I reassembled everything the mouse button worked like new.
In fact I am so happy with the state of my mouse button i thought I would do my bit to first thank Zen for encouraging me to try to fix my own mouse button and 2nd adding my own lessons learned for others looking to do the same thing.

Anchored images outside of button frame

Hi Experts
I am trying to find a way of getting an image to become visible on rollover on a button I've created, without having the image positioned within the button frame. The images are large & I have several small buttons on the page, each linked to text frames with anchored text objects (the images.) Anchoring the images outside the text frame is no problem, but visibility is limited to the button frame.How do I link large images to small buttons that only activate on rollover? Any ideas? PLEASE help!

Convert that image you want to appear to separate button, and attach show/hide buttons action to your real button. Use rollover as trigger for showing your image, and rollout for hiding it again....

Need to revert to previous non-icloud ical -- new Delete button in Edit window is a problem.

Does anyone know how to revert to a previous version of iCal?
The new 5.0.3 iCal update is giving me huge problems.
When editing events, sometimes a delete button appears in the bottom right corner of the Edit window. Reflexivly, I click the small button, which I don't realize until it's too late, had changed to a 'delete' button. The new event is gone; there is no undo available.
I lost several appointments until I realized what was happening. I have lost new appointment with all the details I'd entered since.
Realize that this is just an opinion, but it is unfathomable why the UI change after all this time. There seems to be no good reason for having a delete button sometimes appear on the edit window.
Another change that is driving me crazy is that the Edit window open and close shortcuts were both command-E. Now, the commands have changed.
Please help! This is driving me crazy. I use iCal dozens of times a day. The new changes are not making me happy.

Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are having some issue's when attempting to scan to the computer.
I do have a few suggestions we can try in the attempt to troubleshoot this issue.
First off, please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a power bar/strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general. How to use Spry validation with link styled submit buttons..??

I'm working with a theme package that comes with a bunch of button styles that work with basic links. For example:

I've got a basic form setup with Spry validation, but the submit button needs some styling to make it look nice with the site. Since there are already styles ready for me to turn links into buttons I figured I'd use the same thing for my submit buttons.
To accomplish that, I'm using the following javascript...

And then I'm updating my submit button to something like this...

When I do this, the form submits as expected, but the Spry validation doesn't work. Is there a way I can make the Spry stuff work with these types of buttons? I know I could create separate styles for the submit buttons themselves, or I could use an image type button, but I'd really like to figure out how to get these existing styles to work for me since the theme already has so many of them done for me.
Any information on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Volume Button Not Working on Lumia 620

Today my volume rocker switch on my Nokia Lumia 620 stopped working suddenly. It was dropped a couple times today as I was at a concert and people rushed past.
The volume switch feels spongy when pushed in and only adjusts the volume when pushed down painfully hard. But it happens with both my covers, so I'm maybe wondering if it's an internal hardware issue? When the cover is off, the two small buttons can be pushed down easily, it's just the rocker switch on the covers that don't work. Anyone know what is going on with it? Sent from my 620.

Hi, Mozilla. Just to clarify, you've tried 2 different back covers on your Lumia 620 and you still experience difficulty pressing your volume keys, right? Only the technicians can confirm if there was an impact on the internal hardware of the phone. Saying this, we suggest taking the phone to a Nokia Care Point for an evaluation and repair: Nokia Support. Please note that the repair process may delete your personal data, so it is best to create a backup file: Back up my stuff.
