Small Differences posted to the same profit center

Hello dear all,
My problem is following:
User post a document via MIRO.
This document generated an accounting entries. All line are posted with profit center 1000 except one line was posted with profit center 2000.
This is because the MM small differences (customizing in automatic psoting in FBKP) are customized to be posted to the account 658000.
In OKB9, the account 658000 is linked to the cost center C0ZZ001 and the cost center COZZ001 is linked to the profit center 2000 in his master record and it's not possible to remove/change it since there transactions already posted in FI.
That's why the system post automatically the differences with profit center 2000.
User don't accept this and i don't have idea how to resolve this issue, since small differences should be posted always to the same G/L account.
My question is: Is there a possibility to let system take always the profit center of the invoice for all lines ?

Option 1
When posting the original transaction you can replace the profit center 2000 with Profit center 1000 by over writing.
Option 2
You can repost the small difference amounts from Profit center 2000 to 1000 using transaction 9KE0.
Option 3
You can reallocate the 2000 small difference amounts to relevant profit center 1000 using distribution cycle. Transaction:4KE5

Hello,
There is no need that you should have the profit center and cost center one to one relation.
You can assign number of profit centers to a cost center. Meaning that the same profit center can be used in different cost center master data. Whenever, you make posting to cost center, the same will be flown to profit center.
For example when you post actual line items, it will update GLPCA and GLPCT in profit center accounting.

Hi FI Gurus,
I am looking after a Support Project in SAP IS-Retail. I am from the FI functional and possess very limited knowledge in FI.
My client has done the sales posting in SAP using IDOC's. During the postings, it was found that wrong Profit Centers were assigned. Due to this, the sales reports based on Profit Center are coming wrong. It was suggested to the client to reverse the IDOCs, do necessary changes in Profit Centers and re-post the IDOCs. The client wanted a short method to get the reports right. A senior consultant (Non FI) in the Company and the Management are forcing me to write a ABAP program to update certain (not all) FI tables. According to me, it will have some negative impact on the system for which reason I am not ready to take the call as a Project Manager. The management wants me to do the following (I am quoting the same mail which I received from the consultant ) :
We need to update the correct profit center in tables BSEG / BSAS / BSIS / BSIK / BSAK / BSID / BSAD, wherever the records exists against billing document numbers provided.
BAPI for updating profit center in Accounting documents: BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST
Function Module : 'BAPI_DOCUMENT_CHANGE'
Also look at SAP Note: Note 966428 - FB02: Functional area (FKBER) can be changed on coding block
Based on the above, the ABAPer has written the program, the program will update the tables BSEG, BSIS, BSIK, according to the selection criteria of document number, company code and line item number with the new profit centers.
Please clarify me about the following :
1. This program is updating profit center in just the FI tables (BSEG, BSIS, BSIK etc.), but the New GL tables (faglflexa and faglflext) which have approx. 65 lakh entries in PRD do not get updated with the correct profit center.
2. The Controlling tables also do not get updated with this program yet. Also since the previoius updation of Profit centers did not happen correctly, most of the times the controlling document has not been generated at all. Since we will be updating the profit center in just the FI tables, the controlling document will not be created still. Though there are SAP notes suggesting re-creation of the Controlling documents, which is still an option you can choose. Please confirm.
3. The Special GL also does not get updated because of this.
This is a very critical and hot issue. My job is at Stake as the Management has threatened me of sacking if I do not follow their directives as they are only concerned with their money.
Is the consultant who suggested this change RIGHT ?

Hi,
There is no standard program or BAPI that would update profit centre in a posted document. You should either develop your own process for it,which is not recommended, but sometimes is essential, or reverse the existing documents and post them with the correct profit centre.

Difference between Business area and profit center accounting

Business area will have many profit centers. For example Vehicle is a business area in a company. Vehicle can be cars and Bikes etc. Here Vehicle is business area and Cars and Bike are profit centers. In broad Vehicle is a profit center. But as it has sub areas those are profit centers. So profit centers cannot be replaced with business area and vice versa. We can replace business area by Profit centre, only condition is that it should be in same controlling area. The business area is more like a business unit of a company. You can have multiple profit centers within a business area.
Main distinguish factor is that distribution and assessment in possible in profit center but not in business area.
One more distinction is that Business area need not be attached to any organisation structure. But profit centres can be created only under the controlling area. Business area can be across controlling area.
Business area concept is used for making stragic decisions by the management whereas the primary purpose of profit centre accounting is responsibility accounting.

Entries hitting only to the dummy profit center

Hi All,
While doing the PCA configuration I have created the 3 profit centers & 1 dummy profit center and the same is assigned in controlling area settings also but the problem is while posting the entries in any one of these 3 profit centers by default system is picking dummy profit center ABCD by giving message "Profit center was set to ABCD" which is a dummy profit center.
I have assigned the related profit center in cost center master data also.
Looking for the solution.

In 3KEH,I have assigned the account from 1000000 to 2500200 with default profit center Hyderabad but by default the entries are hitting to dummy profit center ABCD.
In OKB9, i have assigned Gl 4200030 which is a revenue gl in co code and account assignment detail 3 (Profit center is mandatory).
Still the entries are hitting to the dummy profit center.

Might just be better off to take the guidance from your FI guys. Pl. check if all the assignments are made correctly, like the material is linked with a profit center and this profit center to a cost center and finally to the controlling area. Also check if the currency of the profit center is the same as the controlling area currency.

New GL - Field that do the balance "profit center"

We are doing the post by upload file.
40 - Bank account
31 - Vendor
And the system shows us: Field that do the balance "profit center" is not fulled in the item 001
The account bank is correct to have profit center, but the estrange thing is that the system is taking of the information (delete) the profit center we put.

Hi,
For the cost center, check whether the cost center master data is having the profit center and at entry level profit center is not hedden field.
For vendor, if you have the profit center in bank line item it should come in other line item. check whether inherittence is ticked in the below mentioned config-
Financial Accounting (New) > General Ledger Accounting (New) > Business Transactions > Document Splitting > Activate Document Splitting

Is there a way to have multiple people post on the same shared photo stream?
My cousin would like to have a single shared photo stream where we can both post photos on it and comment, instead of having two separate shared photo streams.
We think that there should be an option for the album creator to give access to anyone he/she shares it with to enable them to also post pics on the same stream.

Oracle 8i supports 'INSTEAD OF' triggers on object views so you could use a process similar to the following:
1. Create an object view that joins your two tables. 'CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW test AS SELECT d.deptno, d.deptname, e.empname FROM DEPT d, EMP E'.
2. Create an INSTEAD OF trigger on the view.
3. Put code in the trigger that looks at the :NEW values being processed and determines which columns should be used to INSERT or UPDATE for each table. Crude pseudo-code might be:
IF :NEW.deptno NOT IN (SELECT deptno FROM DEPT) THEN
INSERT INTO dept VALUES(:NEW.deptno, :NEW.deptname);
INSERT INTO emp VALUES (:NEW.deptno, :NEW.empname);
ELSE

Are you using NEW GL or EC-PCA? If New GL, you can do manual adjustment (FI entry). If EC-PCA, you can do it using 9KE0.

The interaction between differents power view report (differents spreadsheet in the same workbook - based on the same datamodel)

Is it possible to connect different spreadsheet of powerview based on a same data model?
For eg, i have 2 powerview reports based on 2 differents spreadsheets in the same workbook.
If i filter a year (for eg YEAR = 2002) in the 1st report, i want the 2nd report automatically filter by my choice (<=> YEAR = 2002).

I don't think this is possible right now. But you will be able to add a view level filter which will filter all the visualizations at the same time if multiple visualizations are on the same sheet. Hope it helps.

IF he set up find my ip[hone on the ihone itself BEFORE it was stolen ( there is no app, it is a setting) AND it is on AND it has jot been restored, then you may be able to track it using icloud/find my iphone.
Otherwise, there is no way to track it.

Updating the dummy Profit Center

My query is some of the business transaction are updated in the dummy profit center
What could be the reason for updating the dummy profit center suppose if I am not give any profit center
Those entries are getting updating ?
In this new Gl concept how to transfer the balance to exact Profit center ?

You should not have activated Classical PCA if you are using New GL.. New GL PCA is a much better functionality
Anyways, the reason for DUmmy PC is only that you did not assign the PC in the CO Object like Cost Center.. PC is always derived from Cost object. So, if the CO Object has no PC, the line item gets Dummy PC
There is a SAP note 702854 which offers steps to deactivate Classical PCA.. If you wish you can do that.. There is no harm as such in having Classical PCA, but New GL Is better

Log out of Gamecenter and try downloading CoC again. if it doesn't prompt you with a new village, try downloading with a different apple id. if that doesn't work, you would need a new device to create a new village and transferring it to your sons device using the code in the CoC settings.
