Small dvd stuck on macbook pro

I accidently put a small dvd inside my macbook pro not realizing that it wasnt supported by my computer. I've tried everything to get it out, pressing eject, restarting the computer and even shaking it but the dvd wont come out.

Try some tape folded over a tongue depressor or something similar.
Ciao.

I cannot get a DVD to eject from my Macbook Pro.  When I eject through the standard ways, the DVD mechanism obviously is trying to eject, but the disk will not come out of the slot.  It then remounts the DVD and it starts to play.

I've tried that and all the other possible ways described in previous posts.  The computer TRIES to eject the DVD, but it will not come through the slot.  Instead, it remounts and starts to play again.  I suspect the DVD may have been slightly warped.

How to load software from a small sized CD on MacBook Pro?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
The disc drive of the MacBook Pro does not support mini CDs, so you need to get an external DVD drive that supports mini CDs. After connecting it, insert the mini CD and install the application you want.
If you have got another PC with a DVD drive, you can use Remote Disc > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5287?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

  • This is the same question I've asked 3x in 24 hours, but it doesn't appear in the listing. Maybe I need help in phrasing questions?:)Q. why can I play some DVDs on my MacBook Pro but not on desk top Apple (they're both -1 year olds

    Hi
This'll be my third attempt in 24 hrs to ask the same question. maybe I need guidance on phrasing questions?:)
    Q. Why can I always play DVDs on my MacBook Pro but not always on my desk top Apple. They're both less than  year old. The desk top sometimes displays a message that says I have to change regions (from Australia to South America...doh...)

    Region Code 4:
Mexico, Central and South America, and the South Pacific.
Includes Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Aruba, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, British Virgin Islands, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Falkland Islands, French Guiana, Grenada, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, New Guinea, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay, Venezuela
Apparently my first response was off in left field.  The DVD player has its own code.  My recommendation is to change the code when it asks.  It is possible that the disks that play correctly are region-free and the ones that don't have a region code.  If this does not work, you still have four more changes available; you won't be stuck with the new code.

  • I'm unable to burn DVDs on my MacBook Pro 2.16 GHz, 2GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

    Hello all,
I'm unable to burn DVDs on my MacBook Pro 2.16 GHz, 2GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM running 10.4.8. When I go to burn a DVD I get one of two codes 0X8002006D, 0X80020022, why is that a 3,000 CPU cant burn a DVD. My Mac is total up to date with all software and firmware. I saw in the Discussions that I'm not the first person to have this issue but I don't see an answer from Apple, I'm pretty sure it not the DVDs (Memorex DVD-R 16X) because my ****** pc can burn them and it was a 100 pack that I used about 50 from it that I burn on both Macs and the ****** PC. I also have a Dual 2 GHz PowerPC G5 with 2.5 GB DDR SDRAM running 10.4.8 which is also unable to burn them and it also comes up with the same errors. I have not had this issue until I updated my Macs to 10.4.8, PLEASE HELP.
    Thanks,
    Coons

Yes I can play CDs and DVDs but I was not able to burn a 4.01GB folder, I have since decreased the folder size to 3.75 and was able to burn the DVD. I'm creating another just to double check, my G5 was unable to complete the task and I also gave a shot at a 2.77GB folder and it failed I also gave a 200Mb file a chance but it still did not burn. I was able to burn the same 200MB file on a CD, PLEASE I NEED HELP.

  • How do I copy a dvd onto my macbook pro?

how do I copy a DVD onto my macbook pro?

If it's a home DVD copy the files to the computer.  If it's a commercial DVD you don't because it's illegal to do that and also against the terms of use of this site to even discuss.

Might be good to shut down.
Try shaking the devil out of it or  I would take it to an Apple Retail Store or an Apple Authorized Service Provider  (AASP) for evaluation, or call your nearest Apple Contact Center. Visit the Genius Bar at the Apple Retail Store,  make a reservation.

Hold down the mouse button or trackpad clicker as you start up.
If no joy, restart and hold the Option key. This brings up the Startup Manager, which will draw an Icon for each bootable Volume. When all are drawn, the Eject key is "live".

I don't think you can actually download the install DVD. If you call Apple they can send you the install DVD for a nominal fee +S&H. You will need to provide them with the serial number for your Mac to see if it's registered to you.

    That's a proprietary interface.
Odds are there is no adapter. Ask Sony.

I could not inset DVD into my Macbook pro CD-Driver. How could I insert it/

try ejecting the drive incase there is something inside. if you are trying to say that the drive won't read DVDs that are inserted then you have a slightly larger problem. also if you do not hear a noise of some sort after seeing the eject symbol on the screen your optical drive may be broken or unresponsive in either case make an appointment with the apple store
