Small fonts for Firefox 35.0.1 display badly after Windows Update 2/10/15

After Microsoft did an update (image attached) the display of many small fonts is nasty (image attached). I see it in no other programs including IE. Not all fonts are bad, just some small ones. Everything on your page here looks fine.

hi chris, this is probably caused by microsoft update kb3013455 which can cause font rendering issues on vista:

JDeveloper doesnt display anything after windows update!!!

This is really weired..I updated my pc with windows security updates..now after that I'm able to start JDeveloper but the screen doesnt show any docking windows..i.e. Log, Application Navigator, Connection Navigator etc..none of that is visible..all I can do is open the java file in JDeveloper. This is creating issue because neither my deployment profile is visible or nothing else! Anyone has any idea what to do or anyone else has faced the same issue? I need to know the standard default font for Firefox

I had a Dell 20 inch 2007fp monitor that I had to give up. I purchased an LG 22inch widescreen monitor.
My home page is the Drudge Report and with the new monitor the font is all messed up.
What is the standard default font for Firefox?

I have repeatibly loaded Adobe Acrobat Reader but the Plugin Check gives me Adobe Acrobat Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape 10.0.1 Outdated Version Update. While the plug in check is important it is quite bothersome at present. Please help.

EVERY TIME the browser boots it kicks off the plug in check. I understand that this is important but it is currently a pain. Once I update Adobe Acrobat Plug in the browser does not recognize that the plug in has been installed and keeps coming up and up an up an up.
This is the message I get.

Got Display driver via Windows Update for Windows 8.1 and try to use it for Windows Server 2012 R2

Hi Everyone,
the following driver cab is from Windows Update:

It includes this display driver:
Intel(R) Q45/Q43 Express Chipset (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM 1.1)
My problem is: I can't install this driver on Windows Server 2012 R2.
I tried the following, nothing worked:
a) pnputil -i -a intel.cab
b) Extract cab, update the device's driver in device manager, select "search for driver software in this location"
c) copy the files in system32/, system32/drivers, syswow64/ from a Windows 8.1 system to a Windows Server 2012 R2 system
Isn't it true that any Windows 8.1 driver should also work for Windows Server 2012 R2 (same os version)?

Firefox won't start after windows update

After windows Updated my computer Firefox won't start. I tried a clean reinstall two times, won't work. When I tried to start the firefox the first time after booting my computer it comes with the following message.

I cheated a little bit and put the issue url in a working version of firefox:

I do not see much about coloum 14, but I am guessing this file is stored somewhere and its corrupt. Update.xul suggests that it is the update file. Do you still have this in your downloads folder? There are two places for update and for a clean reinstall:
[http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/] in a private window will give you a new install or you can choose from here: [https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/]
This is what the file should look like; [http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/log/7a2edc5171e6/toolkit/mozapps/extensions/content/update.xul] If you can copy and paste that file from a working browser we can see the issue, but it will just look the same as the error.
if you can replace the contents of the file locally with what it should look like it will fix the error, but who knows if there are other errors. May be best to delete the updater and save all the profile folder contents.

I read another thread where people gently tapped the back of the iPad against their knee and it came back on. Someone else reported that dropping on to a carpeted surface from a lowish height corrected it. Others have said that twisting it gently has brought the screen back. You will have to try these at your own risk and be very, very careful.

Small Font for Date in Project Planning Board

Iam Using ECC 6.0 C Version in our Company. iam facing a problem in CJ2B that Date is displaying in very small font. i could n't solve that problem till date. Can any body help me where can we make settings for making fonts size bigger for dates other than zooming in Planning Board.

Hi Hari,
Once you are into CJ2B, Please follow the following steps:
1. Click on the icon " Planning board Assistant"
2. Select the gantt Chart----Misc. in diagram Area
3. In the Selection of the "Text" of "Date Descript."--- Select "Dates one-line " ( This is applicable if your date is on the left or right side of the date bar)
4. Now you can change the Font colour, Font and Font Size, Bold or Italic.....
5. To Confirm the setting Click on "Update graphics" button on the screen.
6. Now, If you notice, the dates fonts will be as per your requirement.
If this does'nt work.. Try to explore in this area only..Probably try selecting other "Text" in the "date Descript."

You are right but you have to adjust it everytime you open a new window in your browser, apart from that the above style includes other tweaks such as link underlining and more to come ( FYI, CSS is really easy to learn )

Firefox won't update - tho I have OSX 10.5.8 it keeps saying I have too old an OS. The auto-update for Firefox is greyed out. How can I update?

I have a Mac Powerbook G4, running OS X 10.5.8. I'm getting messages from Google that Firefox is an old version and needs updating - so I went to the Firefox website and the message said that "Unfortunately the latest version of Firefox isn't compatible with your computer's operating system. Learn more." When I click Learn More, it says that Firefox only works with OS X 10.5 and 10.6...The auto-update box for Firefox is greyed out and un-clickable in Firefox preferences, there's no manual download that I can find - how can I make Firefox recognize my OS and allow me to upgrade? PPC Macs aren't compatible with Firefox 4.0 and later versions.
For older Macs that aren't supported in Firefox 4 / 5 / 6, try TenFourFox for PowerPC's running Mac 10.4.11 & 10.5.8 .

My adobe flash plugin for firefox is not working? I have windows 7

I have uninstalled - reinstalled, I have checked plugins - and when I run the plugincheck via mozilla it says it needs up dated. ?? I have windows 7. I have specifically downloaded the version for firefox flashplaer 16 and windows / browser is still not recognizing it. This has been an issue I have been trying to correct now for 3 days and is sucking up my time as a designer working from my home. I'm very disappointed in the creation and issue of this product. Please help.

No images or form elements are displaying in Firefox, used to work but not after an update

Virtually no images are displaying in Firefox, mainly background images - but on every website. Also, form elements are often not visible. Didn't happen before; new Vaio laptop running windows 7 - it can't all be bad coding. Yes, load images automatically is checked etc.

Crystal report not showing correctly in firefox after windows update

From the past six months, crystal reports has been displayed without the print toolbar and the formatting is completely lost in firefox. Previously we found that when we uninstall the windows updates KB2836942, KB2836943, KB2836946, KB2836947, the problem is resolved. But with more and more windows updates that are automatically updated on the servers, it is getting practically impossible to track which windows update creates the problem. There is absolutely no issue in Chrome, IE and Opera; it is only with firefox that this problem occurs; so we feel it is more of a firefox issue than a windows update problem. It is not just in one machine, but we found the same issue at all our customer's servers (more than 10). The servers are a mix of windows 2008, windows 2012 with iis 7. We also observed the same problem on windows 7 machines. We have been recommending firefox as the best browser for our software to all our customers, and with this problem cropping up, we are badly handicapped. Kindly let us know how to sort this issue. We have provided the link below for your perusal. When you open it in chrome it works fine, but on firefox it does not display correctly:
