Small fonts in Elements 13

Hello. I just installed Elements 13 on a Windows 8.1 machine and found out that the fonts are extremely small, making the programme almost unusable. I've been using PE11 so far without the issue. Does anybody know if there is a solution to that?

Hi, again. Thank you for responding! Should have started with this, indeed - resolution is 1920 x 1080 and scaling is set at Larger - 150%. In the meantime I read a bit more on the net and as far as I got it, many people have the same issue with Elements. Lightroom on the other hands looks perfect. I guess I'll have to live with it!
Be well!

  • Font size Elements 12 way too small - how to enlarge the font?

Windows 8.1 and Elements 12.  The font in Elements is so small I can hardly see it, much less use it.   I've tried everything I can think of and I cannot get the font any larger.  Any ideas???   This is crazy!

That is the actual size of your image file. 48 x 38 is very small.
That is not a Bridge or Photoshop problem.
It is a very small image and you cannot enlarge it more than x 1.5.
If you want a large photo you must ask for it from whoever gave it to you, or take a bigger photo if it is yours.

  • Images should grow or shrink when the user chooses a larger or smaller font size in ADE.

    Hi All,
I use percentage values (in "width" attribute within "img" element) for image that should grow or shrink when the user
chooses a larger or smaller font size. The adjustment affects not only the size of the text but also images but the images
are getting distorted or blurred when user chooses larger font size in Adobe Digital Editions.
Can anyone, please guide me; how to get non-distorted and non-blur images in epub package?
If I directly use images, without svg format i.e. png or jpg files, then images get overlapped on body-text in two column display in ADE.
    OR
if I directly use jpg or png with width attribute varying in percentage value then image shrinks and grows as user chooses smaller and larger font size but the problem of distorted image remains as it is

    Hi DenisonDoc,
There is no option right now to set properties globally primarily for Text fields. You may make sure fields doesn't contain anything.
Select all the text filed from the form and right click any of the selected field make sure all of them are selected choose properties --> Appearance there you can choose Font Size and Font type.
    - End users cant change size and type of font. It is up to designer.

  • Why does Apple support print those "Hello" booklets that came with my new iMac in super small fonts?

Yesterday I purchased the latest available 27inch iMac from my local Apple only dealer.     ( It sure beats my very first Mac which was an LC520. )
The included in the box printed quick start guide named "Hello" was printed using a font size very close to zero.
Who are these people at Apple support that can read such small fonts with using 20X powered magnifying lenses
    Are they somewhat...
What a waste of mony Apple!

I think it's a point worth making.  It is virtually unreadable.
On reflection, I'm wondering if there is an obligation in some countries to provide such information with a device.   This could be Apple's way of complying while spending the absolute minimum.

  • How do I get my HP Officejet Pro 8500A Plus to print a small font?

My printer prints a very small font.  How can I get the pringter
to print a larger siged font.

Hey , I understand that you are not able to print the court seal on legal documents on your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus e-All-in-One Printer. I would like to assist you today with resolving this issue. However, I do need to clarify a few things before I will be able to guide you to a solution.  (1) What program are you printing these court documents through?   (2) Does the court seal appear in a Print Preview window under the program?    Once I have the answers to my two questions above I will be happy to guide you to a solution. I look forward to hearing from you!

  • How to keep alignment in Windows LARGE and SMALL fonts

For years, I fought with LabVIEW, trying to keep things looking decent in both Windows LARGE and SMALL font sizes.
By this, I mean Settings - Control Panels - Display - Settings - Advanced - General - Font Size
I love to use large fonts - I run my display at 1600x1200 and it just looks better.
But if you plop an indicator on a panel in LARGE fonts, save it, then open it with SMALL fonts in effect, it looks horrible.
N.I. Doesn't care about this - just look at how ugly their own examples get when viewed in LARGE fonts.
So I developed a method to make the bottom of the label text line up with the bottom of the numerical text, whether in LARGE fonts or SMALL.
Click here for examples. Basically, I turn OFF the SIZE to TEXT attribute and right-justify the label (if on the left of the numeric).
This works OK, except I have just discovered that it depends on the text being the default size.
If I have a 17-pt numeric with a 17-point label, then they both appear as 13-pt when I switch to SMALL fonts - great -- they're still aligned.
But if I have a 17-point numeric with a 16-pt label, when I switch to SMALL, the numeric shrinks to 13, but the label stays at 16, and is thus vertically misaligned with the numeric.
So how can I have a 17-pt numeric with a 13-pt label, and have them BOTH shrink when I switch to SMALL fonts?
I suppose I could use property nodes, and detect the switch myself, but I have 50+ of these on a single VI to do - that would be ugly to watch the labels jumping around.
I suppose I could have two VIs - one for LARGE fonts and one for SMALL, but I don't want to duplicate th
    e code.
    Any other ideas?

It is true that we don't have a
solution.  It isn't that we don't care, but the solution choices stink.
Well, I'll stand by my opinion that N.I. doesn't care - when using the default app font, there *-IS-* a solution - the link in my original post points to a page that I show my employees on how to solve the problem. It is solvable, for the case of using the default font and size. Yet N.I. uses the default font and size, but LOOK HOW THEIR EXAMPLES APPEAR (see attached files). This is how the example software looks, out of the box. These are not ancient examples, either.
It is NOT my opinion that, because there apparently is no solution for non-standard sizes, the stuff looking ugly is NI's fault.
But when a solution DOES exist for standard sizes, why they don't apply it is beyond me. Even some of the LabVIEW dialogs suffer from this.

PSE uses the fonts on your computer, so if you install Rockwell there, PSE should pick it up.

Very small font when printing from various web sites. Not an issue when printing Emails. I have the Officejet 6500 series 709.
Problem started after unplugging all electronics before going on vacation. How do I reset the font?

    Hi bobmart7,

What is the full name of your printer?
What is the Model # for the printer?
What is the Product # of the printer?
What are you trying to print?  Is it from a program on your computer or something from the Internet?
What is the operating system for your computer?

  • Reader 9: Smaller Fonts Are Illegible

Ever since "upgrading" to Reader 9, I find the text in smaller fonts to be nearly illegible at full screen mode, and that I must enlarge the image to at least 300x in order to read those fonts. Has anyone experienced this problem and, if so, have you been able to correct it? (I use two 19" diagonal HD monitors, and the problem is the same on both screens. Reader 8 had no such issues. The text with which I have the greatest problem is that published by Investor's Business Daily).

I can say with 100% certainty that since Reader X is now the latest release, there will be no more "fixes" for reader 9.

  • Right side menu too small font size of letters in Windows 8.1 High DPI screen

Hi, I just own a new laptop with Windows 8.1 and high resolution screen.
When I start Adobe Reader, the document area seems to be readable, with "normal size fonts", but the options menú in the right side uses a very small fonts size and is hardly readable.
I tried to change it using the Windows "change menu, title, icons size, but withpout success.
    Any solution for it?
By the way, in a Lenovo Ideapad U430 Touch, there is not "magnyfying glass" combination key and the zoom function of the touch screen doesn't work either in that right side menu área (it works in the document area, not in the right side menu area).
    Any help will be welcomed.
    Thanks.
    Javier

    Hi, Pat, test done.
Thanks for your suggestion, it was somehow helpful, or, let say, half and half.
It was helpful in the way that when I opened the preferences Windows I was not able to see the full window, there was a part of the right side of the window that was out of the screen. So, when I changed the "scaling settings options and behaviour" from "Auto" (default value) to 100% everything was in the display.... So, this was of high help.
BUT I was not able to find any way in all the suggested document for making the fonts used in the right window of the Adobe Reader, the one where the "Tools" and "Comments" menus are displayed more readable, bigger size, than the one that the product uses by default in the High DPI display.
So, thanks for the suggested document that helped to solve the first point.
    BUT
Any other idea that could help for changing the fonts used in the "Tools" or "Comments" menu window?
    Thanks and kind regards.

  • New printer prints texts in very small font

This is an HP Photosmart c4650. I have correctly installed (and at the suggestion of an HP tech, uninstalled and reinstalled) the software that came with the printer. The scan and copy functions are fine. And the print quality is also good. The issue is that everything that prints out is in a super small font (maybe 7). This is true whether I am trying to print from a word, notepad, or web document. HP has been unable to resolve this. Any help would be appreciated.

Can you try the steps in the  document and see if it helps:

  • JTextArea uses a small font that i cant read

I tried viewing a few examples of java swing applications but everytime i see a JTextArea on them the font on it is really small and hard to read. (I think it uses new courier, size 9 according to an application i tried to make on NetBeans)
apparently it doesn't happen on application that use the windows look and feel and look like a native program.
This also happens on two computers i own and also on my friends computers.
    I am using java 6u12.
    Windows xp sp3.
All the computers i tested this on are set to hebrew locales. but the last time i tried changing the locale thinking this was the problem it didnt help.
What is causing this, and is there any way to fix this?

something is still causing it to have a really small font. That something is in its source.... you can't change it (though you can, by changing it and compiling it once again yourself)
    1. JTextArea has small font under windows look and feelTry running following program to check the font of text area in different look and feels:
