Small format videos

i have 320 x 240 videos that i want to edit in final cut express HD. in my old FCP i could just create a setup for this frame size, but in HD i just cannot see how to get my project and sequence to be the right size. i thought maybe i could capture some random footage in the small format, and then use the settings, but there is no multimedia type of format available in capture either. thanks for any suggestions.

FCE is a fixed resolution video editing application. It only edits DV or HDV. Your material has to be made to conform to one of those formats or it will not work.

  • Best small format that can play automatically in a web page

I did two videos that I want to play in web pages when the page opens. In m4v format they are 5.8 MB and 15.6 MB. Way too big for connections here. I've tried shrinking to 3gb format, and they are now a little small, but very clear. But when the web page comes up, a message comes up and asks what you want to open it with, then downloads the video in another window.
What is a good small format that plays automatically in the page?

if you highlight the movie in iWeb, and open inspector and go to the QT logo at the far right and click on it you can check "autoplay.

  • I want to order a second copy of an iPhoto book. Thought created in the smaller format only the larger format is showing. How can I switch an existing iPhoto book back to the smaller format?

I want to order a second copy of an existing iPhoto book. Though created in the smaller format now only the larger format is showing. How can I switch an existing iPhoto book back to the smaller format?

To change a book size duplicate it (select the book in the source pane and press command and D) since text flow and picture  placements can change due to the size differences - then click on change themes, select the same theme and the new size
    check it carefully
Before ordering your book preview it using this method - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1040 - and save the resulting PDF for reference - the delivered book will match it.

  • Formating videos for ipod- video but no sound!!!!!

ok i relize that a million questions have been asked about formating videos but i will make it million and one.
i have some vides that i made with windows movie maker and i also have some from DVD's. i read in another question to download video ipod converter, and i did i am just lil confuzed, i know my way around these programs so can some just tell me in lamins term like you are talking to an forgner tell me what steps i need to convert it and be able to have sound with movie. i have the 30g ipod english, itunes, ipod converter, i just need the help
    Cheers

OK as for your question, that is good. Itunes has the video and sound!
Here is how we fix this, (I hope, right? lol) do you have your Ipod set to Auto sync? You know it is on, when you cannot edit anything on your ipod, it just copies everything on Itunes!
Here is what you do if Auto-sync is on:
    To turn auto sync off:
    Attach Ipod.
    Open Itunes
Click on you ipod icon (the little ipod picture under devices)
The third button down will say: “Manage all music and videos”
Click on the box and give it a, √
Now you HAVE to drag and drop things (music, video, etc.) in Itunes to your ipod. Itunes will not do it automatically anymore. But if your computer crashes, your Ipod will not delete all of its music if you attach it again (because there is no music on Itunes).
If you do not have sync on, write back and let me know. Auto sync is the main problem that cerate this.
As for your question about dragging files to Itunes, make sure they are MPEG-4 format (Quick-Time) or they will not drop into Itunes.
Let me know if it works. God Life

Are you using any software to import videos? Did you tried Picasa or you just open your iPhone from My Computer?

  • What is the best way to format Videos for ipod touch?

What is the best way to format Videos for ipod touch? Used Quicktime Pro/ Export (iPhone setting). Videos aren't as crisp as downloaded Videos. Compressors /ipod video Setting also looks crapy (with bitrate med & High). What should I use?

Visualhub is a transcoder with multiple input and output formats with specific setting for iPod,iPod touch. Costs around $19-used to work great but recently everything I convert suffers audio crash than closes out the player. Hopefully they will fix it.
Elgato H.264 hardware transcoder is $99 dollars(USB stick that plugs in to Mac)-speeds up encoding of any file quicktime can handle, settings for apple tv, iphone/touch, ipod,Sony PSP. Worth the cost if you transcode a lot of video for the Touch or own an elgato HD tuner. Files work flawlessly and look great.
Mpeg streamclip-free. Works great, has presets or can customize the output.

  • Is there a Small format X-Fi Volume Pan

Small format Volume Panel? Is there a simplified Volume Panel available for use with the X-Fi hardware that uses less screen realestate?I?am currently using?a X-Fi Platinum Fatalty and previously used a Sound Blaster Audigy 4. The Audigy software included a simple Volume Panel that?used?much less monitor space than the one included with the X-Fi. While converting vinyl LPs to MP3 files (my main use?for the X-Fi Fatalty) my only volume control need is to be able to quickly adjust or mute the output volume of the?Line-In, Mic-In, and Wave-Out signals. I do not need any of the FX functions for this activity.

Tode,?As long as the X-Fi is set as your default playback and recording device you can use the standard Windows Mixer as a much smaller and neater volume control. Access this via Control Panel > Sound and Audio Devices > Audio > Sound Playback?> Volume. When the panel is open you can both switch to recording controls and also select the sliders you wish to appear / control (e.g. 'Wav', 'Midi', 'Line-In', 'Mic' etc) via Options > Properties. If you use the Windows Mixer regularly it might be worth setting up a one-click shortcut in the task bar (this is my own primary volume control device). To do this use Windows Explorer to navigate to: Primary Dri've with operating system installed (usually C: )?> Windows > System32 > sndvolume32.exe?Left click on sndvolume32.exe and drag and drop over to QuickLaunch area of?taskbar;?You'll then have a shortcut - though if you already have several shortcuts this new volume tab might only appear when you click on the double arrows at end of group of icons, if you want you can either extend the number of visible icons by unlocking taskbar and dragging boundary line, or replace one of the visible shortcuts with the volume one by dragging and dropping latter into visible area. Hope that helps, much less complicated than it sounds!

As for the app Smart Movie, well that may not be a fully featured video player and as this is a user to user forum for support of Nokia products and services only, you won't find any help here unfortunately.

  • How to make smaller format?

    Hi!
Is it possible to make smaller format for movie(DVD),because when i copy movie from original dvd to my laptop he takes 7.78GB on hard?
    thank you

Have you already tried burning to Verbatim DL media 8.5GB at 4x?
If DL isn't an option for you then consider using Roxio Toast and SL Dvd-R (fit to dvd) in order to burn the image to SL Verbatim Dvd-R (your choice).
Hope this helps but if not just come on back.

  • How to add mp4 format videos to itune 12

how i can add mp4 format videos to my iphone 5

    Hey there Amir,
According to the technical specifications for your iPhone 5, MP4 is a supported file format ( iPhone 5 - Technical Specifications ) so you can also try syncing the video over the same way you would sync music:
iOS: How to transfer or sync content to your computer - Apple Support
If you are unable to sync these MP4 video files to your iPhone from your iTunes library, you can use this article to create a version that is compatible with your phone, and that version should sync over without issue:
iTunes: Videos may be unable to sync to iPhone, iPad, or iPod - Apple Support
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    All the very best,

Imovie is limited to its import formats and does not allow for storing video in any rawformat.  Which means all videos will contain lossy compression applied to the video….with no way to edit full format video.  Is this statement true? Does iMovie support HD 1080p @ 60 fps?

    yes and no!
using the intended Import from Camera routines, iM converts automatically in its very own AppleIntermediateCodec. so, answer is yes.
    but …
    a) Apple claims , aic is non-lossy intermediate codec. working with proRes in FCPX taught me, there are even less non-lossy-ness codecs
    b) iM offers an Archive feature, which is basically a simple Finder/copy operation which 'clones' your SDcards content into some folder on your harddrive; e.g. you can later use these untouched  'raws' in another editor such as FCPX. so, answer is no.
    c) when you 'override' the import routines by manually re-wrapping mts into a mov container, iM handles the 'native' h264s ... so, answer is no.
    d) adding any effect, transition etc. reduces any interlaced source to 540p. (if you're working with 720p source, res is kept) … so, answer is yes. or, in 720p case, no.
    < Johnny Depp's voice >… savvy?
Does iMovie support HD 1080p @ 60 fps?
    via Import from Camera? No.
via re-wrapped mts>>mov? I was told yes, some say no.
one thing to be kept in mind when talking about these 'issues':
iM, this 12€, is meant as a CONSUMER toy tool.
    it supports AVCHD vers1 (=no 1080/60p, no >24Mbps, no 3D).
fingers crossed, we'll see soon some iM/QT/FCPX update for support of AVCHD v2 ........
the main consumer devices are within the specs, iM supports.
using professional equipments makes usage of professional software (FCPX, AP) optional.
    sorry for lengthy answer.
