I'd like Acrobat to not bounce in the Dock for no reason.
I'd like to be able to paste text into sticky notes and have the pasted text remain after clicking outside of the sticky note.
I'd like to be able to move, for example, page 2 (of 6) to the page 4 position and not have some random other page move to some random other position instead.
I'd like to be able to click on the Acrobat icon in the Dock and have Acrobat display, become the frontmost app, and be responsive to input.
I'd like to be able to right-click on a thumbnail and have the context menu show up under the mouse click rather than in the lower left corner.

you need to go to adobes website and post the wish list ton their "Feedback" page.
Now whether they give it a glance or not. Your own your own. ;)
They already know about the bouncing Dock. have almost from the day Acrobat 8 hit the airwaves.
So far its just a nuisance not worth the effort to fix. As for the the other they sound like they need addressing.

I just installed FireFox 4. In previous versions typing in the Google search box automatically created a drop-down list of items. One could click on an item on the list and proceed to a Google results page. In FireFox 4, the list appears but clicking on an item on the drop-down menu does nothing. It's broken and it was a very useful feature in previous versions.

Create List Definition Programmatically using Feature Receiver

I am using a Feature Receiver to create a custom content type in the FeatureActivated event. I know know to create a list instance through code to use my content type.
What I would like to do is create a custom list definition (list template) to use my custom content type in the FeatureActiviated event. I would like to do this entirely through C# code only (no xml files). I have been unable to find
any examples of creating a list definition through code on MSDN.

I hope below sample will be helpful for you to create a custom list and fields using code.

Missed useful feature in mail.app spotligth

In Leopard OS was a very useful feature in mail.ap spotligth.
When you drag'n'drop a letter to the spotlight window of the 10.5 mail.app all the letters from mail recipient were shown as a spotlight-find-result. It was a very useful feature in previous MacOS. Not it's lost.
Is this feature lost only in my OS?

When I click on the little arrow at top and click on "load actions", I am only getting a box with empty space saying "No items match your search". The folder at the top does say "Actions". How do I get more effects? The tutorials that I've checked into all show a long list of effects in their box. Can anyone help?

To use the existing actions, try the following:
1. Open one of the Action Sets, in this example Special Effects is the Action Set, by pressing the small arrow beside the set name.
2. Then click on the name of the Action, in this example Faded Ink is the Action name.
3. Then press the Play button to run the action.

I can no longer drag a link to a folder -- a Windows folder -- to save it. This feature is (was) very useful as I could save links relevant to my work in the folder for the project.

In previous versions I have been able to drag the icon from the address bar to a Windows folder, producing a clickable link in that folder.
I even have FAQ and Help files on various web sites advising people to do that as it is very useful to have links to web sites in a folder relevant to the content of the folder.

This is very frustrating -- this feature worked in ver. 3, not sure about 4, but now FF 5 has removed it. This is important enough to me to either revert to v. 3 or use Opera (see below).
IE v. 8 has removed it too.
Opera v. 11 will do it -- but it only saves to the desktop and not to folders, so you have to drag the icon to the desktop and then drag it into the folder.
I use this regularly with presentations -- will be doing one next weekend -- and I take it on a USB memory stick to someone else's computer. I can click on a link in the presentation folder and have that page open in their default browser. It does me no good to have the link in my bookmarks back at my office.

I need instructions for using features on my synaptics touchpad.

Hi - my synaptics touchpad on my new computer does various things I don't understand. If I could find a list of its functions and instructions somewhere, I could probably make it work and use it well. But didn't find that googling or on hp's site. The properties box only shows very standard feature choices that I've used for years, but this new computer's pad does a lot of other things -- that interrupt my working. Like a big circle that shows up and disappears? sudden shrinking of font? Cursor Off one side of screen and then showing up in another part of screen instantly. Anyone know where instructions are?

Exporting to PDF - How Can I Get A Small File Size When Using Lots of Vector Art?

I am trying to create a small PDF file for e-book distribution purposes. My Indesign pages contain a variety of photographs, vector icons and vector maps.
A publisher in Britain who does similar books on a Mac using Creative Suite was able to create a 22-page document very similar to mine (similar icons, graphics, density, etc) that is only 2.84 mb, a small fraction of the file size that I'm getting! I've included a sample page of his below, which is a low-res jpeg, but on the original PDF all of the text and images (except the jpeg cliff background) are super sharp - they look like vectors when you zoom in. I've also included screenshots of his PDF export settings.
I don't know if he's exporting directly out of Indesign, but my best guess is that he is.
My vector-based icons, numbers and maps are bloating my PDFs considerably. When I remove them, the Indesign and exported PDF file sizes drop dramatically. For the life of me, I can't figure out how he got such small PDF files sizes using so much vector art! The PDF graphic compression settings don't seem to include any options for vector art.
My vector art graphics (numbering, icons, maps) are all saved as Illustrator AI files and then placed in Indesign as linked graphics. My best guess as to why I can't achieve smaller PDF files is I'm either doing something wrong with the vector graphics themselves or handling/exporting them improperly out of Indesign.

How to find the list of un used table names in a schema?

I have a doubt in Oracle. The doubt is that If we are using any tables in Function Or Proc.... Then...We can list all those used table names from USER_DEPENDENCIES system table. Right...
But, If the table is used with Execute Immediate Statement, then, those table names are not coming out with USER_DEPENDENCIES system table. Because they are identified at run time and not compile time.
It is fine. And I agree.. But, If I want to list out those tables also...then...How to do? Any idea?
I think ‘USER_SOURCE’ system table may not be the right one. If there is any other system table avails for this purpose...then..it would be very grateful to extract right...
So I am wanting that exact system table.

The above SQL Query can list out unused tables by checking the Dynamic SQL Statement also upto some level only.
Once we extracted the list of unused tables, having a manual check would be also greater to verify as it is should not impact the business applications.

can someone tell me how to find the list of the infoObjects (fields) that are being used in all queries based on some set of infoProviders?
I would like to know what tables I should be looking for.
What I'm trying to find is the list of infoObjects used by all my users, from the genereal list of infoObjects found in the infoProviders they use.

Function Modules RSZ_I_BASIC_CHA_WHERE_USED and RSZ_DB_KEYFIG_WHERE_USED will be able to tell you which queries an InfoObject is used in. You can use the RSDIOBJ table to get a list of the InfoObjects that are active in your BW system.
Create an ABAP program that does the following:
1) SELECT all of the InfoObjects in RSDIOBJ into an ITAB where the RSDIOBJ-OBVERS = 'A' (Active) and RSDIOBJ-IOBJTP = 'CHA' or 'KYF' (Character and Key Figure respectively).
2) Copy ITAB into another ITAB.
3) Delete all records with InfoObject type of Key Figure in the first ITAB, so that you only have Characteristics in the ITAB.
4) Delete all records with InfoObject type of Characteristics in the second ITAB, so that you only have Key Figures in that ITAB.
5) LOOP through the Characteristics ITAB and call the RSZ_I_BASIC_CHA_WHERE_USED FM, for each row in the ITAB, with the Import Parameters of I_OBJNM being the InfoObject being processed, I_OBJVERS always equal to 'A' and I_QUERIES_ONLY always equal to 'X'. LOOP through the structure returned and populate to a third ITAB.
6) After all Characteristics have been processed, LOOP through the Key Figures ITAB and call the RSZ_DB_KEYFIG_WHERE_USED FM, for each row in the ITAB, with the Import Parameters of I_OBJNM being the InfoObject being processed, I_OBJVERS always equal to 'A'. LOOP through the structure returned and populate to the third ITAB.
