Small lock symbol with arrow circle aroud it,beside battery symbol?
There is a small lock symbol in the corner of my phone with an arrow around it, beside the battery. What does this mean?

What is this lock with a circle icon next to battery on OS 4.0?
I have been having this battery drain issue since moving to OS 4.0. Just wondering if this lock with a circle icon has anything to do with it. My location services is off and has not been on for past 24 hours. There was some reference to a location icon on some web articles but my GPS is off. Ideas?
That is the orientation lock for the screen. Double tap the home button, this opens the multi task screen. Now slide from left to right, you will see ipod controls and a symbol to the left of the controls. That locks and unlocks the screen.

My iPod third generation screen seems to be frozen or locked... Not sure how to fix this? I've tried the holding of the menu button and middle button to restart but that doesn't even do anything :(

Lock icon with arrow around it
out of no where this icon appeard in the top right corner of my iphone 3gs. i read the other discussions and tried double hitting the home button and scrolling all the way over but the only thing that is there is my audio control, then a volume control. nothing else.. help please?
When you double click the home button and swipe from left to right, you don't see the button on the left as shown here...

5800 xpress music "lock" symbol

I have now on 2 separate occasions noticed that I have had a small lock symbol next to the phone symbol when making a call. When this is showing there is no ringing tone and the call cannot be made. At the same time people have told me that they have been ringing but my phone is switched off which it isn't. Does anyone know what this is as I have looked for this lock symbol in all 118 pages of the manual and can'r find why it is happening.
To get rid of it I do the norm switch off the phone and switch it on again and hey - all's well again.

I'm not sure you have the right thing here - I got the phone new and have not had any problems for months with it. Today it's fine - no problems with any calls incoming or outgoing.
Yesterday the same - day before and other odd days - phone appears turned off to others and when I try to call anyone at all the lock symbol appears and the calls can't be made.
So each day I don't actually know whethe the phone is ok or not until I make a call - if I can't make one call then I won't be able to make any calls at all, until I switch off then on again, then all is well - until it happens again - whatever it is.

TS3274 Small lock appearing on the top bar and display not rotating.
My apple ipad ii showing a small lock symbol on right top bar and the display is not rotating. This happened after kids were playing games. Any wrong key pressed or why?
The orientation lock is activated. To unlock, double click the home button to bring up the multitask bar, swipe from left to right until you see the orientation lock icon next to the media play controls. Tap on it to disable it, click the home button to return to the home screen.

drsoif, this is the Portrait Orientaion Lock, which means you locked your phone in a way for it not to have landscaping mode. To correct this you will need to: double tap your home button and swipe to the right, first icon will be the icon with the ''arrow'' going in a circle, tap on it once and the lock will disappear:)
