Small photo's in the top of the finder (correction)

Dear all,
on top of the finder pop-up you can put small photo's. But how can I get them away? Or when I -by mistake- deleted the original, how can I get rid of the original? sorry I mean: how van I get rid of the question-mark?
Thank you in advance.
Patrick

Hold down the command (the one with the Apple on it) key, and drag them out of the tool bar. They will disappear with a little poof of smoke.

    I had 'questionmarks' at the top of the finder pop-up. You can delete them (also the photo's) by holding down the command (apple) and drag them out of the menu. They dissapear in the same way as you make something dissapear from the dock.

My monitor is a 23 IN' acer s series. I just installed the drivers for my monitor with no change. I think I have a CD somewhere for my monitor maybe it has some kind of program in there that can help me. I can post a picture if I need to. Thanks

    No work around that I know of.

    Detail.  I Attach my camera and the fields where the photos usually show up are empty and at the top of the screen it says all photos from camera are downloaded. But they are not. They can't be.
    I fixed the problem somewhat myself by removing the miniSD and manually inserting it. It did not populate automatically. I had to open iPhoto and then it populated only the most recent photos I had taken which fortunately were the only ones I need. No error messages this seems to be a new occurrence.
    Is there a way to just turn iPhoto off and download my photos to the folder of my own choosing?

    Sure - in the iPhoto prefercences set action when a camera is ocnnected to Image Capture

  • Roll over a small photo and above it (or beside) the large photo is displayed

    Hi All
    What is this called: When you roll over a small photo and
    above it (or beside) the large version of the photo is displayed. I
    would like to create a photo gallery that works this way. Could
    someone tell me what this is called? Or better yet, where I can
    learn how to do this? A free tutorial perhaps?

    c2design,
    > What is this called: When you roll over a small photo

    I don't know that the phenomenon has one ultimately correct
    name. I
    might call that a "click to enlarge" or "rollover to enlarge"
    effect.
    > I would like to create a photo gallery that works this

    Flash generally provides many ways to accomplish a desired
    task. One of
    the easiest ways I can think of to get what you're after is
    to create a
    button symbol. Put your small image (the "thumbnail," it's
    usually called)
    into the button's Up frame. Put the large image in the
    button's Over (and
    perhaps Down) frame. In the Hit frame, put a shape that
    represents where
    you want someone to roll over in order for the Over frame to
    show.
    Typically, you'd just put the thumbnail into the Hit frame at
    the same
    horizontal and vertical position it was in the Up frame.
    You could also program this effect with ActionScript, but
    since you
    posted in the general forum, let's see what you make of the
    button approach.
    Write back if you still have questions. :)

    When I open safari from the dock it opens as a small window at the top of the screen that is totally white and does not have a tool bar or exit options.  All I can do is force quit to exit.  What do I do?

    With Safari open, press Command ,   (comma) to open Safari Preferences then select the Extensions tab.
    Turn that off, quit (or force quit) Safari then relaunch to test.

  • The small gap at the top of the page

    Theres a small gap in the top of the page, when I view it in
    Layout View. Its got lines going across diagonally, and takes up
    about half a centimeter from the top of the page. When I preview in
    browser, my logo should be at the top left hand corner, but instead
    theres a white gap going across the top. How do I get rid of this?
    Thanks

    You need to zero out the margins and padding on the page.
    Paste the
    following in the head of your document just before the
    closing </head> tag.
    or add the style to your current stylesheet if you have one.
    <style type="text/css">
    <!--
    body {
    padding: 0;
    margin: 0;
    background-color: White; /* or whatever color you want */
    -->
    </style>

  • What to do when your iPhone 6 has a small/tiny dot on the top of the screen?

    I just bought my new iPhone 6, but when i powered it up i noticed a small dot on the top of the screen, It left for one day, now its back.
    Does my warranty cover it and what will happen when I take it to get repaired?
    Will they fix it or replace it?
    Thanks

    If you say it was gone for one day, you may try resetting your device. This won't delete your data stored on the phone.
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button
    Press and hold on the Home button
    Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off and back on with Apple logo on it.
    Alternatively, you may go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings
    If this does not help, I believe you need to have your iPhone checked and repaired at your local Apple Store as it may be a hardware problem.
    Apple specialists will most likely fix your device.

  • Small horizontal opening towards the top of the iPhone's face??

    I do know that information is SOMEWHERE...
    I have kept the original (out of the box) clear, smooth screen protective "skin" on my iPhone. It looks good and is very clear; it prevents smears & scratches on my phone.
    However, I do notice that it blocks the small, horizontal (about 1/2 inch across) opening near the top of the screen: what is it for again? Does it have to do with my phone not exhibiting enough volume in the phone talk/answer mode?
    Thanks!
    - Roger T

    Well, not really. I am just curious about things not totally clear, or just merely puzzling.
    To wit: p.12 of the iPhoneUserGuide pdf manual shows a detailed description of the
    phone different areas, functions, features... and openings.
    Speaker and Microphone are pointed out via arrows (bottoms), while everything else on the unit is precisely described... EXCEPT that slit close to the top. I suspected that it would be a conduit for sound, but thought of asking nevertheless. Oh well, that's what happened when ones reads the f... manual too close.
    Thanks for the reply. I'll just replace the original plastic protective film with the one I purchased. The fir (bubbleless that is) probably won't be as good!

  • In PSE 9 - how can I tilt the top of the photo forwards to get a better perspective

    In PSE 9 - how can I tilt the top of the photo forwards to get a better perspective

      There are two main methods:
    You can use lens correction
    Filter >> Correct Lens Distortion
    Then use the sliders to correct perspective.
    Or use the menu bar:
    Image >> Transform Perspective
    Than drag the corner handles to correct and then crop.

    It has been on this black screen with the apple logo and some small white writing at the top of the screen for many hours. I've tried rebooting it and connecting to iTunes but nothing has worked.
    PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!

    It likely means there was still water inside it and something has now shorted out and permanently damaged one or more components.  THE very worst thing you can do with wet electronics is energize them - even a small drop of water inside on any of the circuitry or electrical contacts can cause catastrophic damage.
    Take it to Apple for a free evaluation, but most likely you will need to replace it.  For the out of warranty fee ($269.00 USD) you will get a refurbished replacement (like new, with a factory new screen and battery).  An out of warranty replacement will also re-instate your remaining warranty, or 90 days warranty, whichever is longer.

  • Messages puts a blank conversation at the top of the list

    I recently deleted an entire conversation in messages, and now that contact will occasionally  update and go to the top of the list. It has a time associated with it as if I had sent a message at that time, but the conversation is still blank. I am worried that the person is trying to send me messages and I am not receiving them. Any ideas?

    Hi,
    looks like you are not using Google Webmaster verification method. The code that you have used, is to verify your site with Google Plus Page, You are linking your website by inserting a small snippet of code on your website and then listing that website as your Google+ Page's primary link in the About section of the profile.
    <a href="https://plus.google.com/{+PageId}" rel="publisher" />
    So as long as the Google Publisher code is there, Google Plus tag will be there. You can read more about this here

  • [SOLVED]Creating a gap at the top of the screen in DWM / Dzen2

    I've messed around with this for a couple days to no avail. I'd like to create a small gap at the top of the screen in dwm 6.0 (replacing dwm's topbar) so I can insert a dzen status bar. I'm pretty new to editing dwm.c, but from my google-fu have found that the answer lies somewhere in the setup() and updategeom() functions. Any other relevant information is only applicable to earlier versions of dwm.
    So, can anyone help me out, or atleast point me in the right direction? I understand this might be possible through xmonad, but would like to avoid that if there's a chance.

    Trilby wrote:If you really want to replace dwm's bar, then you don't need to do anything - just have dzen over dwm's bar.  If you wanted to make it as efficient as possible, you could delete the function that draws the bar (or probably more easily just delete it's contents so it is an empty function).
    That actually worked to some effect, I was so OCD about it being clean I didn't want to paint over the original bar, but just deleting the function that draws it doesn't seem to have removed the gap where it used to be. This solution also allows me the ability to hide it as well.
    So thanks, I'm pretty happy with these results.

  • How can I get my Albums back at the top of the Library Panel?

    I recently upgraded to 3.3.2 and among the many new and sublty annoying features, all the smart albums which I created and which used to be at the top of the Library panel now appear at the bottom below the Projects.
    Why someone thought this should be moved is beyond me... and I am hoping there is a way for me to bring it back to the top.
    In some of my Aperture libraries I have literally hundreds of projects and rely on smart albums to quickly organize photos across them. Having to scroll to the bottom of the pane is a pain!
    Does anyone know how I can bring the ALBUMS back to the top of the Library pane?

    Create a folder (new Folder), call it "My albums" or similar, and drag it to the top of your projects section in the Library Inspector panel.
    Then drag all your albums there.
    You will have to set the projects to be arranged manually, or let the name of this folder start with a character that bring it to the top, if you want to sort by name.
