Small problem of connection fails

Since I installed my extreme base station I quite often get a 'connection failed' to other computers on my network.
Even though it says connection failed I am still able to share the screen of the other computer. The only way to fix it is to re-enter my admin password for the computer I am trying to connect to.
Although this is not a major issue it is still a pain. I am telling it to save in keychain and prior to the extreme just using my router it was fine.
Is there any settings I can put anywhere to stop this behaviour?

Look for the button that says "Connect As" and enter your password. Click the check box to Remember.

    It must be [WPA2-PSK-CCMP][ESS] and nothing else.
    If the connection still fails, please go to the configuration interface of your Wi-Fi access point and change your access-point back to the old WPA-PSK (TKIP-only) and 802.11g (only). If not available, avoid 802.11n and go for 802.11b/g. Does it work now?
    If it still does not work, change your settings back to WPA2-PSK (AES-CCMP) only and 802.11g/n. Then, post the results of the above tools. If you do not like to post them into the public, you can send me a private message. But those information are public to your neighbours anyway.

  • Console CatOS MOTD small problem

    I have a small problem when connecting to a console port.
    We make a connection via a terminalserver to the console port of a 6500 (Tacacs+). I like to have a banner before I login on CatOs. The problem with a MOTD is that only the banner is shown after a logout.
    Any suggestions?

    for some reason, this doesn't work for console access. It does work for direct telnet access.
    Maybe there is some problem with remote access via a terminalserver to the console port. Do i have to change something on the line (TTY) ports of the terminalserver?

    Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
    Then reset: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go.(No data loss) Try it again.

  • Mail: "connection failed", problem associated with software update

    When I attempt to get mail, I frequently get a symbol on the side panel of an encircled triangle enclosing an exclamation point. If I click on the symbol, I get a message that says (condensed): “connection failed, check settings for your POP account, server error encountered, connection timed out on port 0, do you want to stay offline or go online.” If I click go online, the usual spinning circle appears and then sometimes I get my mail. Sometimes I have to repeat the process several times before I get mail. I am, of course, always online; the connection has never failed. This problem started some time ago after I updated Apple software. I called my ISP and they made a few changes in my mail preferences, but that didn't help. I used disc utility to repair disc permissions and that helped but (strangely enough) only for a few days. This problem was discussed several years ago in message #1724339 but nobody could solve it.     check out the "Nokia 808 Belle FP1 bug: WLAN works, but not all ap..." thread. Looks like you are having the same issue, and there's quite some info on this issue in that thread. The issue must be related to Symbian Belle somehow, since Anna and S60v5 are reported to perform well under the same conditions.

  • I recently bought an external hard drive and attached it to a wireless modem router. The problem is that i can't access it from my macbook. I get a "connection failed" and "the server is available on your computer. Access the volumes and files locally".

    Well I believe I described the problem above. I want only to add that the external hard drive is a Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Drive 1TB and the wireless modem router is a Belkin N Plus (model F5D8635-4 v1). Also, in the finder window under "shared" I see a "belkinserver" and when I click it, it says "connection failed". If I click "connect as" I get the "the server "belkinserver" is available on your computer..." which I mentioned above. I tried to connect macbook via ethernet to the modem router and then when I typed "smb://belkinserver" it immediately prompted me for a username and a password and when I typed them finally I got to enter the contents of the hard drive! So what's the problem wirelessly? 

    If your external drive does not have an independent power supply, you may wish to consider a couple of lower-cost options before tossing the drive. Bus-powered drives have no external power source and must get all their power from the computer. They can exceed the computer's USB energy budget.
    Cheapest option:
    1 Meter USB 2.0 A to 5 Pin Mini B Cable - Auxiliary USB "Y" Power Design for external hard drives.
    This gets power from two of the computers USB porst sna can provide enough power to wake up an under-performaing bus-powered drive.
    If you don't have enough ports to use this, try the next cheapest option:
    Newer Technology 7 Port Hi-Speed USB 2.0 Hub with Power Adapter for Mac & PC
    Such a hub has a an independent power supply to make up for wahat the comptuer fails to provide.

    We have one 2 node HP-UX 10.2.0.4 cluster. Due to power problems we shutdowned the nodes and started the nodes after a week.
    The CRS is not coming. I check the priv NICs, OCR/VOTE disks and their permissions, etc,...... Everything is fine.
    In the log directory $CRS_HOME/log/<node_name>/client , there were thousands of css*.log files.

    My website was migrated to a new cloud server last week and after the move visitors to my site using Firefox have been intermittently receiving the following error when visiting a https:// url.

    SSL peer rejected a handshake message for unacceptable content. (Error code: ssl_error_illegal_parameter_alert)
    The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
    Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem. Alternatively, use the command found in the help menu to report this broken site.
    Upon a few refreshes the page may load again but often very slowly and often not all images will load.
    The web hosts have tried many things, have had cpanel techs check the server and even set up a new ssl certificate to try and resolve the problem with no luck.
    Researching the internet shows that people have faced this issue when upgrading Firefox or with certain AntiVirus software conflicts.
    However I can't tell all FF visitors to start altering their config files in order to be able to visit my site.
    I don't understand how I didn't have this issue prior to the migration but now something has changed that no one knows how to resolve.
    For reference: I am using FF 28.0 and I am not experiencing this SSL error on any other site other than my own since the migration.
    Does anyone have any information on what the web host may be able to do to fix this SSL issue that only occurs for FireFox users?

    Still experiencing this problem and hoping someone may have some ideas to try on the server.

    The TC is the wifi base station, also have AirportExpress on the network, both of which work fine.  The TC has an external disc connected as well, which is also visible in the sidebar but also cannot be connected to.  Several MB computers use the network, all of which either can or cannot connect to the TC disc depending on when it is acting up.
    Any ideas other than clicking "connect as" or powering down the network every time?

    Much easier with a real tool instead of a toy.
    Hold the option key when you select firmware update.. all the old ones will appear.
    But this will not work on newer Gen4.. only on every other model and early Gen4. .I do not know when they turned the corner and started this only 7.6 nonsense.

    I installed ODT 10.2.0.2.20 and I'm trying to debug a SP in VS2005. I have followed the instructions at http://cshay.blogspot.com/2006/07/plsql-debugger-in-visual-studio.html
    I am able to debug SP using the "Run debug" in the Oracle Explorer however I am not able to get any "live data" debugging working in a Winforms application.
    my problem is that whenever my application tries to open a connection I get the following error message:

    Checking or unchecking the "enable Visual Studio
    Hosting Process" flag (in both projects) doesn't seem
    to change the situation :(
    Forgot to say that I am not behind a firewall.Well, if it fails with a console app, then it wasn't the bug I was thinking of.
    There is one other bug that sometimes catches people... you can follow along the steps I provided in this thread and see if ORA_DEBUG_JDWP is getting corrupted as it is passed from Visual Studio to the database:

  • C7-00 problem -"Connection failed. Connection unav...

    Hi, after updating from Anna to Belle some widgets like RSS are stoped working. Today I updated Belle to the latest version and the problem is the same: When I add RSS widget to some screen recieve the message: "Connection failed. Connection unavailable." Could anyone help me, please?

    Same here. I notice this "pop up" message quite often. The latest example was Social Network Update, after which it just won't connect to Nokia Social... I still haven't figured out why
