Small rectangle in upper left of screen

New to Win 8 with new Omni 10. After a week, a small black rectangle appeared in upper left of screen.  Cannot be moved or removed.  It shows a verticle  grey bar wit white on top and "100".  aHow do I remove?

Hi LorinPotter,
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read your thread on your HP Omni 10 Tablet and a rectangle appearing on the start screen. Here is a possible fix. Under Performance, click Settings. Advanced system settings Click the Visual Effects tab. Select Adjust for best performance, and then click OK .
Hope this helps.
Thanks.

  • Mysterious green text in upper left of screen on output

How do I turn this off?
I'm getting four lines of green text in the upper left of the screen when I output to Matrox AVI from premiere CS4. I haven't seen this before so I must have inadvertently switched something on, but I can't determine what it is.  The lines are: Current Frame, CPU Load, Input Size and Output size.
They are a permanent part of the video when it is output as a Matox AVI.
Can you help me get this off the screen.

    Steve,
FFDShow can be installed from several sources. One common one is with the K-Lite CODEC Pack, but there are others.
    Good luck,

PS - there might be some background in the hits in this Google Search. I would read a few of the Adobe Premiere Forum threads.

  • My Firefox Mozilla is reduced to a tiny rectangle (upper left of screen) and does NOT RESPOND to my attempts to use the Firefox browser. What happened? Would Firefox please RESTORE the Firefox browser to my laptop.

I changed to Mozilla Firefox from Internet explorer months ago. Very pleased with features, service, etc. A couple of weeks ago, I got an update message while doing some work but did not install the update at the time. Another update message came up with an accompanying, confusing note indicating some dangerous possible consequences if I did not install the update.
A few keystrokes later and my screen seemed to go haywire, and my laptop would not respond to my cursor. I shut down. When I restarted and went to the Firefox shortcut icon a tiny (1"x 1/4") replica of part of the normal Yahoo!/Firefox screen appeared and continues to do so each time I attempt to use Firefox. I'm now back to Internet explorer. HELP me get back to using Mozilla.

Right-click on the Firefox image in that little Firefox window and see if '''Maximize''' is available in that context menu. If so, click on Maximize.
To be clear, Yahoo!/Firefox is a modified version of the official Firefox program and may have faults that aren't in the official version.

  • Hi All, can anybody tell me where to find the little 'down arrow' next to the "back one page" browser icon (upper left of screen) that let you jump back several pages at once? Thanks

I used to be able to view (and click one of) the last 8 or 10 visited pages using a dropdown box activated by a 'down arrow' symbol between the 'browse forward and backward' icons in the top left of the screen if a webpage led me down a blind ally and I'd have to browse backward several pages to get back to my starting point. (Or more annoyingly wouldn't allow you to just go back), but with the new firefox vs I only seem able to browse backwards one page at a time. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

To get the drop-down history for a tab without an add-on, you can do one of the following:
    *right-click the Back/Forward button
*HOLD down the left-click on the Back/Forward button until the list appears

My Firefox 4.0 does not look anything like the videos you show about the features of the new Firefox. My screen looks totally different than yours. It does not have the orange box in the upper left hand corner of the screen. My screen still looks like the old version. I have the logo on the top of my screen with Ask a Question a vertical line Firefox Help - Mozilla Firefox.
Under this line I have File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, and Help. Below this line is a tab with Ask a Question Firefox Help and a +. My husbands screen looks identical to the orange Firefox Box in the upper left of screen. I would like my screen to look identical to the ones shown in your videos. I only have one version of Firefox 4.0 my husband does have the Firefox 4.0 plus the Beta version. How do I add the Beta version? I have Windows Vista running systems. Please help. Thank you

Slideshow settings made impossible by big black rectangle covering the upper-left half of the screen/photo, appearing when I move the cursor. Disappears when I start the slideshow. Restart does not help.

    Thanks,
    -  First: Linc Davis' question seems to be relevant: Indeed, when I disconnect my second display, the problem disappears.  However, reconnecting the display makes the problem reappear again.
    - I use iPhoto 9.5.1. and Mac OS 9.5.2.  The machine is a MacPro first part of 2008 (not a MacBook Pro as I inadvertantly said in my original question). Processor 2X2,8 GHz Quad-core intel Xeon. Memory 6 GB, with new (2yrs old) 2 TB SATA-disk (WDC WD2002FYPS-02w380 Media) as hard disk.
    - Here is a screenshot of what I am seeing - with only part of the settings display (in Norwegian) visible.
    - I have looked for a solution in the iPhoto settings, turned the program off& on, and restarted the computer, all without success.
    -  The library is, as I understand it, located in users/[me]/pictures/iPhoto Library.
    -  No, as I remember I did not apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem.  I have regularly updated the programs, as they come, without checking the results on each program.
    -  I run a managed library
    -  Apparently there is 1,29 TB free space (out of 2 TB) on my boot drive [=central hard drive, see above?].

  • Desktop display randomly getting smaller and moving to the upper left of the screen.

    Hi all.
I am hoping someone can shed some light on an issue I've been expierencing. I have scoured the web and have been unable to find much, if anything, in way of solutions.
All little difficult to describe, but I will include a pic as well as a visual.
We are using some Q180's as media players for digital signage. For the most part they have all been working fine except for 2. Randomaly, the signage presentation will re-size itself and move into the upper left corner. This happens randomly and not at the same times each day. They are hooked up to a LED tv via HDMI. I have tried switiching the HDMI cables, ensuring all drivers are current and tried most all the basic troubleshooting.
A simple re-start will get everything back looking and running fine. Again, this is a digital signage application so we cannot tell if this has occured until the client calls to let us know which is not good for us.
I do apologize if this is not too clear of a description. Please refer to the image for a visual. Also, please feel free to ask me any questions you think may help you.

  • Black screen/white circles in upper left when testing iPad3 Retina app (Air 3.3)

I'm developing for iOS, particularly the iPad 3, on Windows. I downloaded the AIR 3.3 SDK and added it to Flash Pro CS6 per this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4583745#4583745
My app runs fine in Air 3.2 but you can't run apps at Retina resolution with 3.2. If I compile the app with 3.3, it compiles dramatically faster (roughly 10x faster) but when I try to run it on the iPad, all it displays is a black screen, with five small white circles in a horizontal line in the upper left corner of the screen. The circles are animated like an old console progress indicator, cycling through showing one, two, three, four, then all five of them.
I've tried Googling this but if I search "white dots" I get dead pixels, and a bunch of miscellaneous unrelated results if I search "white circles". Does anyone know what might cause this issue or a solution for it?

It turns out you have to enable SWC in the Publish settings for a Retina/iOS5.1 app to work. You don't need the SWC under AIR3.2.
