Small sequential squares on ipad screen

Is it normal to see small squares in ipad screen. I can see then when the screen is off

Small sequential squares? Really? Small squares in a sequence when the iPad screen is off? If you mean when the iPad is turned off, the screen should be black.
When a web page is loading in Safari - on the iPad original - you will see a series of tiny squares on the screen until the page loads to a certain point but small sequential squares....

  • I have a small white square on my screen - it doesn't drag open or move, 21" iMac (mid 2010)

Just today I noticed a small pale white square on my screen. It's fixed in position, doesn't drag wider or open up anything.

    Howdy yogadude,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like the small white square on your iMac's display may be a pixel anomaly, take a look at the article linked below for more information and possible solutions.

  • Small white square appearing on screen

Yesterday I was looking at my iPhoto pictures and every picture had 2 small white squares appear on the screen which I tried to edit. Only to find this morning I now have one white square appearing on the Mac book pro screen. I cannot get rid of it.
Please can anyone advise me how to remove it and what is causing it?
    Thanks
    Carol

all makes perfect sense... except I cannot for the life of me find any reference in Apple docs to the tick mark box as being an on screen indicator of display mode  - you may have indeed found an anomaly though - look at the similarity to the tick boxes in this image from > Frequently asked questions about using a Retina display - Apple Support
I'm noticing functional or visual issues with an application. How can I make it work better?
Try opening the application using Low Resolution mode:
Quit the application if it is currently open.
    etc........
This, I'm afraid, will remain one of Life's Great Mysteries... when troubleshooting, one thing at a time is imperative to detect that issue that is the fix.

  • Small hair under my iPad screen

I've just discovered a short, very fine piece of hair under the screen of my New iPad. It's not particularly noticeable* and I don't propose to ask for a refund on cosmetic reasons only, but I don't know how the retina display works or whether the hair could cause damage to it in the long run. Any chance it could become a problem?
Thanks for any help you can give.
*By "not particularly noticeable" I mean that I got this iPad on the first date of sale and only noticed the hair today!

Take it to the Apple store & you'll probably get a replacement.

Try holding the power and home buttons for ten to fifteen seconds until the apple appears. If still bad, try a restore from within the computer&itunes.

  • Will a square format image fit into iPad screen and show full horizontal and vertical image?

  • Why my slideshow don't fit on iPad screen?

I have made an iweb site and the slideshow on iPad is too small. How we can make that fit in iPad screen?
    Thanks.

Try a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. The screen will go blank. Be patient, the device will power ON again in the normal way. It is app and data safe!]

  • About broken ipad screen

My ipad screen got broken, but theres not much of a problem becouse its only small spot in the corner and im wondering is it necesery to change this glass? can broken glass become wider ?

I have heard of people just sticking on a screen protector and continuing to use it.  If you can bear doing that, what can it hurt?  If the cracks do grow, you'll have to replace the screen on your own dime, but that's what you'd have to do right now to fix it.  So it wouldn't change anything to wait and see what happens.

  • The Pages Full Screen option is the iPad screen!

I haven't heard anyone mention this, but I think Apple did something very smart with the last iteration of Pages as a set up to Pages for iPad.
For those of us who dream of having a writing station as small and light as the iPad, the real question is: Can this really work as an alternative to a laptop? Well, here are three ways Apple has already groomed us for this transition:
    1. They added a keyboard dock, which of course makes real, lengthy writing sessions possible.
    2. They put a version of Pages on the iPad.
    3. Third, the Pages Full Screen mode on your current computer (if a laptop) looks an awful lot like the iPad screen. When I take my MacBook into Full Screen, the dimensions of the writing screen are almost identical to what I would have on an iPad. In other words, I am already typing on that narrow screen!
What do you think? [Sure, this isn't really a problem-solving question, but this is a discussion forum, no?]

The question is whether the iPad screen is built to US Quarto (used by 5% of the planet) or to the International standard A4.
The proportions seem to suggest that the design is USA only.

You may have to do this several times.
Saw this solution on another post about an iPad in a school environment. Might work on your iPad so you won't lose everything.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
    1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
    2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
    3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
    4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
    5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
    6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
    7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
    8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

Try it and good luck. You have nothing more to lose if it doesn't work for you.
