Small sound once in a while

Hi,
Does anyone know what could it be a soft short alarm (like a bip) on my MBP? I just bought my computer and I can't figure out what is making this sound. It is not anything broken. The sound comes from a program running in the background (I imagine). Currently I have safari, excel, ical, and textedit opened. I know that if it comes from ical is not an event I created. I have ical connected to google calendar, but the sound does not seem to be the result of synchronizing with it.
Any ideas? I would like to know what is going on!

Do you have Growl installed? Are you certain it's from the speakers? Try muting them. In quiet surroundings, you can hear the hard drive heads parking (which they do after a period of disk inactivity) - the best description of that sound is a ping-pong ball hitting a metal surface.

Well the title says it all.. but... when I wrote a folder with files on it and tried to open it says That the file location on HDD is corrupted and uinreadable, but when i try to delete this folder it gives me error like 0x80070091 The directory is not empty... I just bought the hard drive today and didnt drop it... And when i listen to music from the HDD and i hear the clicking sound, but the music plays normally.. what'swrong??

I have tried the mystical swiping upward on the screen with 4 fingers to get some special sound menu (which I never succeeded in getting). My headphone jack doesn't work all the time either so some times my kids can hear their games and sometimes they can't. I am super frustrated at this point. So any suggestions would be great. Am I missing something basic or do we just have a soundless iPad now?

my 3rd gen apple tv will loose all sound output once in a while... why does this happen? when i come home from work and turn on apple tv there is no sound. not even the sound effect when you move your selection cursor around the home screen. ive called into apple support and they were really helpful. the problem was at the time that i needed to sign out of apple and back in after i update the software. this is recurring now off and on for 2 weeks. does anyone have any ideas?

So the other client must have that settings on network adapter Control Panel->Network Connections->configure->Link Speed Duplex - Auto(Default settings).

Media Encoder CC Problems - No sound and often crashes while rendering to Youtube 1080p 29.97 fps

I'm baffled by all of this.
I'm trying to render a clip similar to this:

except there are 8 equalizers and I have to do it for a 2 hour podcast. I have to do it in 10 minute clips because it will either crash every 2 hours of rendering, or it won't have sound, which seems like a common problem with AME. It is very difficult to get the sound to line up after the fact.
Here are my specs:
Windows 8.1
i7 - 3770K
AMD Radeon HD 7870 GHz edition
16gb Ram
I can't seem to pinpoint a fix for this problem. Anyone have any ideas?

This is user to user forum. Some of us on Adobe side check forums once in a while to help users. Contacting support is the proper direct communication with Adobe. That said..
Try encoding uisng Software rendering instead of GPU. Look for "Renderer" just below queue panel and select "Mercury Playback Engine: software only". We have seens in some cases (on longer clips) where graphic card runs out of memory and causes application to mis behave or crash.
If that doesn't solve, let us know if you can encode that particular video to any other preset (Not Youtube). Just to see if this is common issue with all preset or particular one.

One thing can help is the following. Right click the speaker icon in the Taskbar and select 'Playback Devices'. Left click the default device once to highlight it ( it's usually 'speakers & headphones' ) then click the Properties button. Click the Enhancements tab and put a tick in the box next to 'Loudness Equalization'. Click Apply to save the change and then click OK in all remaining windows and see if this has helped at all.

A reset does not make tthe iPad "like new."
First, let's ensure that we agree on just what is a Reset...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

What kind of battery in the 4s? Should I let it run down once in a while? ...

I lose track of the battery tech being used now (is it lithium-ion?). Is it beneficial, or bad, to let the battery in an iPhone 4S run down to near 0% once in a while?
What does Apple recommend?

Some iMessages go to my iPad only. Once in a while only.

Sometimes iMessages go only to my iPad and not my cell. I checked my settings and "I can be reached by iMessage at" is set for the same number on both devices. Once I text back on the iPad, the rest of the communication shows up,on my cell. This happens once in a while.

When you call AI Clear, the DAQ session is over. You will not get any new data by calling AI Read after an AI Clear. Move your AI Clear to the right of your while loop such that it runs after the while loop completes. Don't forget to wire an error cluster or DAQ session ID to AI Clear from inside the while loop to create the data dependency. Also, consider adding a shift register for the error cluster and some way to exit the loop on an error.

RMBP - external screen turns black for a few seconds every once in a while

My external screen (Dell U2711) connected via Thunderbolt to Displayport cable turns black every once in a while. The rMBP is in clamshell mode. When it starts it randomly blackens the screen for 2 seconds with an interval of 10 seconds to 5 minutes. A restart usually fixes the issue but it keeps coming back after some time.
Has anybody here experienced something similar?
What can be the cause of that?
This really starts to annoy me, because it seems I have to do reboot everytime I connect my laptop to my screen.

Never had the sort of problem - but then I've an Apple Thunderbolt Display and it just 'works'.
Could be that you're adapter is shot. You could buy a (or some) new ones from Monoprice (much cheaper than what Apple's third-party solutions sell for) and see if that's the problem.

I have peculiar problem that, when we are creating purchase orders some of the purchase orders are not existing even it gives message "Purchase Order created with purchase order number" is displayed.
But if I try to create the purchase ordrer with same data it is creating, this problem is coming once in a while.

I have a black iphone 5 and my flash doesn't work it used to work every once in a while but stopped I went into the camera app and tried to see if it would flash when I took a picture but I saw it light very faintly and hasn't done lot up since. Should I get the led replaced?

First, try bringing up Control Center by swiping up from the bottom of the home screen. Turn on the flashlight by tapping the icon in the lower left. Does the flashlight work? If not, perhaps you have a hardware issue.
If it works, check the top of the screen when you open the Camera app to make sure you have the flash on.
