Small tools are lost from tool bar, like bookmarks, closet tabs..

Hey there,
I'm the only one who is suffering from very strange problem. If you are looking for below picture:

That looks quite normal, but I do not have anything after the google's search box. Or they are there, because when I move my mouse over that place a light grey square appears and also tips are coming.
Also the small "X" for closing single tab is missing, and also the place where to get new tab.
I tried the reset the Firefox, and that help! ...for one day. Now the problem is the same.
Any idea what is going on?

Lost entire tool bar including bookmarks after upgrading Firefox?

Do not have access to yahoo tool bar including bookmarks using upgraded Firefox. My tool bar is intact using IE & I don't have this problem? Tried downloading your add on compatibility module without success?

I think you meant but "not" on effects tab. Were you able to before? Try trashing your preference files. you can do this by hand or use the free program, Preference Manager from Digital Rebellion.

Lost Tabs after unwanted tool bar over wrote my tabs.

My new tab started to show adverts instead oft he normal nine thumbnails. This was after a file download which was obviously highjacked.
I managed to get the original new tab screen back by restoring the tool bars.
At that stage I had all my tabs showing.
I had problems getting bask to the original options and in the process I managed to loose all my tabs.
Firefox now only sees the current tabs and cannot find my old ones. I've tried all the relevant options in restoring recent tabs etc. but Firefox itself seems to have lost the old tabs for good.
Question.
Is there a possibility that the old tabs are held in an old file which might be able to be renamed to allow Firefox to recover the tabs?
If so the filename and folder of the old tabs and the filename and folder of that Firefox can access would be very much appreciated.

Additional information.
The missing tab https addresses are shown as selectable address options when trying to do an internet search in a new tab. So Firefox has them, they are just not linked to tabs.
A response would be much appreciated.

Firefox4Life78: I lost my menu bar with bookmarks, tabs, etc. How do I get them back

I was downloading a utility from "Ask". After getting the utility loaded Ask installed itself in the menu area. I right clicked the first two lines, which were Firefox menu and tools. They disappeared, so I also got rid of Ask but now I cannot get my menu bar or tool bar back. I tried reinstalling Firefox but that did not help. I also tried add-ons but that did not work either.

Make sure you completely close Firefox first. When you get to the Safe Mode window, select Reset toolbars and controls and then Make Changes and Restart.

I don't see a way to stop a page from loading. There is no "X" in the tool bar like there used to be, so how do I do it in Firefox Beta?

When I change my mind about loading a page I don't see anyway to stop it from building or to cancel the action. I tried to research "stop" at http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Menu%20Reference?s=%22url+bar%22&as=s#w_stop regarding the main window reference menu but nothing of what I read there seemed applicable. It appears "Stop" is supposed to be under "View", but I did not find it there. Please help! I want a simple click of the mouse action to prevent a page from loading!

You see the orange (on Linux gray) Firefox button if the Menu Bar is hidden, so you need to hide the Menu bar via View > Toolbars, also accessible via Firefox > Options. 
If you need to access the hidden Menu bar then press F10 or hold down the Alt key to make the Menu Bar appear temporarily. 
Firefox 4 has two bookmark buttons with a star in the Customize window. 
One star button has a drop marker that open a Bookmark menu. 
The other star button without the drop marker opens the bookmarks in the sidebar. 
 
You can drag the Bookmarks menu button with the drop marker in the Customize window from the toolbar palette on a toolbar (e.g. Navigation Toolbar or Tab Bar or to the left side of the Bookmarks Menu Items). 
You only see the Bookmarks menu button if the menu bar is hidden. 
If the bookmarks toolbar is visible then the default bookmarks menu button will appear on the right hand side of the Bookmarks Toolbar as part of the Bookmarks Toolbar Items.

I REALLY don't like the way the tool bar and bookmarks are set up in firefox 4. Is there a way to change back to the old style?

While Opening a New Window all Tool Bars and Bookmark Bar Dissapearing

Dear Mozilla Team,
I loved the new Firefox 4 it is fast and more space for webpages and many other a lot of good stuff. Congrats and thank you for the hard work. However something weird happening every time I opened a second new window .
I will try to explain and be clear;
File --> New Window;
In the new window;
- The biggest problem is it seems like there are two Microsoft Windows window within each other. There are two minimize, fullscreen and close icons at the top right corner.
- Some of the google toolbar icons lost
- My boomarks toolbar lost
- My homepage is not loading and there is not attempt to load.
This is happening every time I try to open 2 new window.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
* Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.

In Firefox 4 you can use one of these to start in [[Safe mode]]:

Menu bar icons / clock (all but spotlight) are missing from menu bar

I started woke my MacBook up from sleeping for a few days this morning and everything ordinarily on the right side of the menu bar save the spotlight menu has disappeared.
I used to have a displays icon/menu, battery icon, network icon/menu, and clock displayed on the right side of the menu bar and they are now gone. If I go into the control panels for display, time, etc., to re-enable the menu bar icons, I can check the check box to display icon in menu bar, but the settings won't save! (Whenever I go back into the settings panel after making the change, the changes are reverted!)
Its getting pretty frustrating. Anyone have any ideas please?

in order to get more place on the screen I have distinck off "barre d'outils", "barre des menus", etc and, consequently, nothing appears, notably my bookmarks and so on.

I have lost all my headings, like bookmarks, facebook etc. What happened and how do I get them back?

At the top of the screen it might say bookmarks, I would click on that and book marks would all be listed. I have lost the top part of my home page with all the things i need like my bank website etc.

I have read a lot of suggestions concerning my problem, the thing is I don't have the option of Re-downloading and in the file menu when I get my library options I don't even have the option of backing up my movie, music, apps, and I don'tt have the Purchased option under my quick links for some unknown reason. Open itunes store Click "Purchased" under "Quick Links", simply does not work for me. I certainly would like to contact itunes support who would kindly granted me a one time re-download of my purchased music. But then don't answer my cry for help, so again I am stuck with nothing after I bought over 1000.00 dollars worth of movies, music, apps and I don' t have acces to any of it. Refresh button is missing from location bar and bookmarks toolbar is blank when I first start FF30

When I start Firefox 30, my bookmarks toolbar is blank. I have to deselect it in View > toolbars then reselect it and they appear.
Also my refresh button at the far right of the location bar has disappeared and all I see is a magnifying glass.
Another issue I now have is that when I copy and paste the URL for any page into the location bar, this then triggers a Google search and doesnt go directly to the page associated with the URL.
I have tried renaming the FF profile and uninstalling/reinstalling FF but this hasnt resolved.
Any pointers to what my next step should be would be most welcome.

Thanks for the reply, however this didnt help me because you didnt tell me where to find the setting "hide urls stop/reload button", and i couldnt find it myself.
However I did resolve the issue myself by disabling addons one by one and reenabling them til I discovered the culprit.
The culprit as i discovered was the Classic Theme Restorer, which has now been duly disabled and will not be used again.

Opening yahoo from tool bar, opens a tab to the left but you have to scholl to read

When iI open yahoomail from the tool bar, it opens a tab to the left and you have to school to read it. if I open it after opening another tab and use book marks it will open in a full tab and work , or least it use too before it stopped working, but this you are working on. It is not much good to have to school.

Is that a bookmark you are using to open Yahoo Mail?
If so, right-click that bookmark and select '''Properties''', then un-check the preference for '''Load this bookmark in the sidebar''', and then click Save.
Using JavaScript buttons on web pages for "Bookmark this Page" causes that preference to be selected when saving the bookmark in that manner. So, don't use those buttons, use the "Bookmark this Page" feature that is built into Firefox instead.
