Small UI for 1920x1080 resolution?

Hi, I have this new high DPI display, and I want to make itunes look good. First I had this blurry UI:

then, I used the "diasable display scaling for high DPI resolution" option from properties of the .exe file. I don't like it because is too small and sometimes text overlaps (for example in the "get info" menu of the songs), here is a screenshot:

I changed my resolution to 1366x768, and the "size of all items" option to smaller (100%) from display options of windows and had a good UI size, but still looks blurry:

I want the UI to have the size in the 3rd picture but not blurred. I'm using Windows 8.1.
Thank you for any help.

• TouchSmart 300 driver available for 1920x1080 resolution

Hi:
I need a driver available to allow the 1920x1080 resolution.
Is one going to be available?

You could always check your drivers page.
Go to http://www.support.hp.com
Type in your Product Number (can be found by pressing CTRL + ALT + S)
Select your operating system, (can be found by pressing WINDOWS KEY + Pause/Break)
Click Next.
Download the display driver update if there is one.
If there isn't, right click the desktop and select Screen Resolution for Windows 7, or the personalized right click menu for your graphics card, and fumble around with the settings.
IMPORTANT: I highly suggest creating a System Restore Point before doing this.
Click Start, and click Control Panel. Select Classic View or Small icons view. Click System. On the left, click Advanced System Properties. Under the System Protection tab, click Create, near the bottom. Name it "Video Driver settings" or something similar to that so that you can remember.
A window will come up saying "Creating Restore Point."
After this completes, it should say:
System Protection
The restore point was created successfully.
[Close]
---End of System restore point creation process---
I have more HP devices than you'd expect.
1 HP TouchPad 32 GB with Android
2 HP Touchsmarts (310-1000z and IQ527)
2 HP Printers (J6480 and J5750)
1 Laptop (HP DV6253CL)
Have at least some experience in each of those devices, and i'll do my best to help you.
Kudos if I helped!

• Support for 1920x1080 resolution for external MacBook screen?

Got a MacBook 2Ghz (white model) with smashed LCD. For the time being, I use a 19" LCD as main screen with not-too-got result via the MiniDVI-VGA adaptor. I understand that using DVI all the way will give more options regarding external screen resolutions, so I wonder: Will a 1920x1080 FullHD screen be supported correctly when using the MiniDVI-DVI adaptor from this MacBook model (that unfortunately lacks a separate graphics card....)?
In advance - thank you.

I doubt it.
my x3100 machine only supports up to 1280x800. And HD monitors wernt standard kit when the 950 was around. Id say Find a larger monitor or Find out the optimal resolution of the monitor you are using and set it to that.
Start at 1024x768, if that does not look right try going down or up untill it looks better.

• Is it possible to control (screen share) my Mac Book on my PC over a LAN connection with fullscreen 1920x1080 resolution AND sound?

I've fiddled with Team Viewer and was able to control my Mac on my PC, but it wasn't over my LAN connection (it was slow), and it was a small windowed view without the Mac's sound. I want to cotrol my Mac, with my PC over LAN and on a 1920x1080 resolution with the Mac's sound on my PC.
(Sry for a almost report of this (https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4031259) but I forgot to ask about the sound).

well there is a program called logmein found at logmein.com. it fixes your resolution problem, but the speed is still not the best due to a lag still. As long as internet connections are decent, the lag should be minimal

Maybe under "Screen" put a virtual resolution, like:
SubSection "Display"
Viewport 0 0
Depth 24
Modes "1280x1024"
Virtual 1920 1080
Sorry if you tried this already or isn't what you want. I just remember having this issue on a desktop I used to have (although I no longer have it), and had nVidia graphics that for some reason wouldn't allow the resolution I wanted so I plugged in Virtual and it worked. Probably not the most elegant ways to achieve it but it worked for me and I didn't see any problems. Anyway, worth a try.

• HT5299 can i connect my sony smart TV via thunderbolt port for better resolution.

can i connect my sony smart TV via thunderbolt port for better resolution.

You can connect the TV via the Thunderbolt port. However if the result is "better resolution" would depend on what resolution you have now (I'm guessing you mean with the HDMI adapter?)
I'm myself connecting the Mini Mac with a Thunderbolt->VGA adapter to my TV and get full 1920x1080 resolution.
Have you checked your Display settings? Make sure mirroring is off, then check what resolutions you can get on the current connection.
Please return with some more data.

• T510 missing options for display resolution

I am looking to order a T510.  Lenovo site does not show options for display resolutions any more. I need WUXGA, how do I verify this before placing an order?

Hi vijpersonal,
There is no T510 with WUXGA. WUXGA is 1920x1200, but the new Thinkpads got FHD which is 1920x1080. As far as i understand it's hard to get a T510 with FHD at the moment. Seems like Lenovo have some delivery problems for models with the FHD panel. If you search for FHD in this forum you can find a lot of discussions about that topic. I'm sure the FHD will be available soon, but don't know when that might happen. You can also get the W510 with the FHD panel and those should be possible to buy now.
You can find the Thinkpad Notebooks pdf using this link: http://www.lenovo.com/psref/
Then you can find detailed spec for a lot of Thinkpads. I don't think you will find any T510 with FHD at the moment though.
Also i'm not sure where you are looking since i just checked shop.lenovo.com and for each of the models the resolution are specified.

• I have an issue with disappearing option for 1920x1080 in Preferences / Displays.

Recently updated to 10.9 - have all updates installed - Mid 2010 iMac 21.5.
I have an issue with disappearing option for 1920x1080 in Preferences / Displays. - After overnight shutdown, my iMac woke up and the screen resolution of my 2nd was set at 800 x 600 - the display a Samsung S22B150 was previously working properly at 1920 x 1080.  This option is no longer available in the system preferences - highest resolution available 1600 x 1200.
I use my mMac for Photography and use the second monitor for the interface, leaving the iMac screen as a full work area for the photos.
I have tried:
Power down Monitor & restart
Shutdown & restart
Shutdown & restart in Safe Boot Mode (options same in Prefs)
Power down Monitor & restart in Safe Boot Mode
Ran Disc Utility - Repaired Permissions, verified both HDD & Mac OSX
Udated Pram
I am now at a loss, I guess I could try a recovery, and download/install  Mavericks again, but do not wish to do this if I can help it.
I have searched the net to see if there are any Terminal commands to enable the resolution, but can find nothing.
Anyone out there have any ideas, please.

Back up all data. Quit System Preferences if it's running.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it, then copy the text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
~/Library/Preferences/ByHost
In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar. Paste into the box that opens (command-V), then press return. A folder should open. If it does, look for a file with a long name that begins "com.apple.preference.displays2". There may be several such files. Move them to the Trash.
Test.

• Redrawing a logo for LOW resolution

Greeting, can someone send me some tutorials about how can I redraw or how should I think if I'm making a logo design for low resoltuion use, or for small dimensions. ex: for spoons, small badges, etc

trialboj,
There will rarely be any reason to redraw for low resolution, unless you wish to make sure that the individual artwork objects/parts are confined to whole pixels in connexion with web/other screen use, in which case you may work with a pixel grid and with Align to Pixel Grid ticked, but that may not be very nice to look at.
For small scale use, you can still use vector artwork, especially for print tasks where you may use PDF or AI, or you can set the pixel x pixel size in connexion with Save for Web (and Devices) or the resolution in connexion with Export to raster formats; in connexion with the latter, you may also just leave it at a higher resolution than strictly necessary.
But if possible, it is always best to keep the artwork as vector and let the outputting device make the best of it (literally).

• 1920x1080 resolution pc

hello,
i'm using 15.6'' laptop with 1920x1080 resolution srceen, running windows 7  /-; (wish i had a mac )
i love safari so i use it daily. Because of the high res. i see the content of the website  very small so i use the zoom option (ctrl++).
however, the zoom reset to actual size every time i exit safari.
is there a way to save the zoom, so every time i use safari the zoom won't change?
thank u very much.

well there is a program called logmein found at logmein.com. it fixes your resolution problem, but the speed is still not the best due to a lag still. As long as internet connections are decent, the lag should be minimal

• I just bought a Samsung S22B310B computer monitor and hooked up to my Mac Mini. I have my mac set to the 1920X1080 resolution but the entire screen (21.5") is not filled. It looks like non HD channels do on an HD TV. Used regular hook up not DVI.

Just bought Samsung S22B310B computer monitor and hooked it up to my mac mini. I have my mac set to the 1920X1080 resolution but the entire screen (21.5") is not filled. How do fill the screen? it fills the screen on other resolution settings. I have it hooked up regularly and not to the DVI hook up. I'm not a computer savvy person please help!

That monitor supports both (digital) DVI and (analog) VGA connections, so you should not need a converter or use a different adapter.
You should use the Apple Supplied HDMI to DVI Adapter and a (digital) DVI cable to the monitor.

• I partitioned a small drive for a windows program, and now the computer only wants to boot to Windows.  How do I get back to Mac so I can have a choice of drives?

I partitioned a small drive for a windows program, and now the computer only wants to boot to Windows.  How do I get back to Mac so I can have a choice of drives?

That doesn't sound good. It sounds like the power outage might have corrupted the partition for OS X. I would suggest booting from the Install DVD that came with your Mac while holding down the C key. Once you have selected the language start up Disk Utility from the pull down menu and repair the disk. Once you have done that then repair permissions also.

Why is there no scaling for high resolution monitors in Adobe Bridge CC?
Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC and Indesign CC have 200% scaling for high resolution monitors in their preferences panel but Bridge CC does not, when will this feature be added to Bridge CC Adobe???

Inconsistency between or among applications in the artificial "suites" should come as no surprise.
The "suite" concept is a fabrication of Adobe marketing and bean-counting types.  The engineering teams are totally independent of each other, they are not only in different buildings but in different cities and states of the American Union, even in different countries.
The fact that they have little if any communication among them is highlighted by requests occasionally made in these forums by top Adobe engineers to let the other teams know when there are problems in one application that impact our workflow in another one.

I just went through this and it appears that my Focusrite Saffire was the culprit. I connected all the outputs on the focusrite according to the way the jacsk on the back were labeled and then set up the multichannel speaker setup to match. Then I went into STP, created a pink noise clip and panned it around, the LFE, center and rears were not in the right place.
I reconnected the hardware to match the 5.1 pan pot in STP then changed the multichannel speaker setup to match. Everything appears to be correct now but I would have loved to have been able to just assigned the output busses to correct outputs in the saffire.
Next step is to pan that pink noise around with my SPL meter to calibrate the room.
