Smaller previews after adjustments

Im using a Nikon D80, and shoot in RAW.
Apparently the D80 RAW's include preview JPEGs, because when I'm in full screen and use Quick preview and then use z to zoom 100% in I see an image slightly larger then my screen (1920*1200).
Which is very nice, because that way when Im using quick preview im seeing images that are still slightly higher resolution then my screen. So they appear sharp
But when I make any adjustments to one of those RAW images and then look at them in quick preview (with 100% zoom active) I see only small 1024*683 images.. so when I dont use zoom I see an upscaled image, which is not as sharp as the original preview.
so.. thats not great, but even worse is that if I use 'Remove Adjustments' on any of the adjusted RAW files it will still have a tiny (1024*683) preview image.. the large one doesnt return.
Here you can see 2 versions from the same master, I made a white balance adjustment to the right image and then removed the adjustment. (Zoom+Quick preview is on)

so, is there any way (other then enabling previews) to keep large previews, or at least get my original large previews back after removing adjustments.

I don't see that option. Here's what the "Thumbnail" tab of my options looks like:
The thumbnails do show the same weird color effects, but I'm far more concerned with the previews than the thumbnails.
Other settings that seem like they might be relevant:
"Keep 100% Previews In Cache" is checked (under Cache tab)
"Generate Monitor-Size Previews" is checked (under Advanced)
"Preserve Embedded Color Profile" is checked (under Output)

Why is the body/content of all my emails invisible except for a few lines in the small preview pane?

The body/content of my emails is invisible in the large/main part of the screen when using the mail app on my iPad. I can see some of the text from each email in the small preview pane on the left side of the screen (when holding iPad in landscape orientation). The only way I can read the content of an email is to forward or reply and then the body/content appears. How do I fix this problem??

Try turning the account off and on : Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars , then tap the account on the right, slide Mail to 'off', exit settings and go back into the Mail app, and then go back to Settings and slide Mail back to 'on'
If that doesn't work then try closing the Mail app completely : from the home screen (i.e.not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
Also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Usual preview instead of custom preview after canceling of step.

I try to made workitem with dialog, like Form step. Macros u201Cexit_cancelledu201D used in method in case of user cancel form.
Also u201CAdaptation work item preview in Business Workplaceu201D function assigned to step.
SBWP preview shows screen from my preview function at first selection of step. But standard preview appear after execution of step when step canceled.
Is any idea how to show custom preview after cancellation.

I repeat that error without programming.
Create new workflow. Add any small structure to container. In my case it has a type BAPI_DRAWKEY.
Add Form step.
In Form step:
Assign self as handler. Set «Action» = display. Generate new screen to the clear function group. On the tab u201CWork item Displayu201D set u201CAdaptation of work item preview in Business Workplace Function Moduleu201D equals SWL0_PREVIEW_DEMO_HTML (it from demo button).
Activate workflow and run.
Complete workflow.
Go to the transaction SBWP. Open folder Outbox -> Work items executed by me. Find and select test step.
Preview will show HTML from FM SWL0_PREVIEW_DEMO_HTML (u201CThis could be your own HTML document...u201D).
Press button u201CDisplayu201D and get out from step by button u201CBacku201D.
Preview will show usual form u201CTips & tricks: u2026u201D instead of HTML from FM SWL0_PREVIEW_DEMO_HTML.
What can I do to resolve it?

Problem with Aperture:
Small preview images do not show the changes.
I use Aperture 3 since August 2010. By November and 10 projects later it ran normally.
Since the project 11 are in the preview images shown (on the bottom bar in the shared representation) and in the pictures in the books no adjustments. I change for example a picture in b / w it remains in the small preview images bunt even though the great View Erbild s / w is. Even in the books then the famous picture colorful and even grobpixelig.
This is of course in the processing of multiple images per project huntert pretty annoying to have no overview of processed images ...:-(
I had a third installed for books and not as close a relationship.
Does anyone have similar experience or know someone how can I fix this?

To make sure we understand:

I am not sure what "s/w" is, but I think you mean:
"I change picture to black and white and the small preview images remain *in color* even though the *big picture in the Viewer* is in B/W."
Even in the books then the famous picture colorful and even grobpixelig.
"In the books the selected picture is colorful and even ???"
"Grobpixelig" -> "grosspixelig" -> "Looks like big pixels???" Not quite sure of the translation. It's been 15 years since I spoke Deutsch!

No change in Bridge thumbnail preview after Camera Raw adjustment

Thumbnail previews in Bridge CS4 do not reflect changes after adjustments are made in Camera Raw.
It used to be fine and now nothing changes after clicking done in Camera Raw.

First go to the menu tools / cache and choose purge cache for folder. If
this does not work restart Bridge holding down option and choose refresh
preferences. After this reset preferences again to your wishes and try
again.

Mac does support previewing dngs in finder and preview. This has not been a problem before (besides when using my fujufilm compact camera, which mac now has updated the Apple camera for).
To answer your Q about dng files. Thats exactly what i do. I have work which involves communicating/transfering multiple lr -edited files to someone else whom further edits in ps. Not only that, I personally use dng as a way of storing my files. I suppose like to keep my files tidy and uniform.
Any mac users out there who has a a solution to my issue with previewing dngs?

I would appreciate if anyone can reply me for fixing the problem.
Problem: The approver does not show in the approval preview after the shopping cart is saved, however before saving the shopping cart it shows the approver in the approval preview. We are using two workflows: WS10000060 Auto approval and WS10000276- 1 level spending limit approval.
Details of the problem:
The following steps specify the problem in detail , it is applicable for both the workflows WS10000060 Auto approval and WS10000276- 1 level spending limit approval.
1.     Shopping created
2.     The approval preview shows the approver ( please see #1 in the attached document) before saving the shopping cart.
3.     Shopping cart is saved.
4.     After saving , Check status transaction shows the shopping cart in status awaiting approval
5.     The section approval shows No workflow started , application error occurred
6.     T.Code SWI1 shows the workitem created for the shopping cart but in error.
7.     The work item container does not show any agents
I would appreciate it anyone can reply as to how to fix it ASAP.

I have synchronised through SWU_OBUF several times since yesterday , but still at the same place.
In the workflow customising - The only red entry which I have is for check entries from HR control tables under Mainiatin definition env. and Mainiatin guded procedure for gateway under guided procedure (new in SRM 5.0) .The verification workflow works fine . Also I think these entries will not impact the workflow functionalhese were red even in my earlier system .
SLG1 shows all green entries and there are no entries in RZ20.
I have specified task TS10008126 as general task as I want anyone who is identified by SLAapprover should be able to process the workitem and as per documentation I can specify this task as standard task.
What should I do.. , anything am I missing .

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, or by corruption of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

The iPhone can only sync with one computer. If you synced it to a different computer and you did not first copy the iTunes library from the old computer to the new then your phone's content was erased.

Generating 1:1 previews after adding photos to catalog.

Hi,
I imported a whole bunch of photos from my harddrive to the lightroom catalog the other day and left it for the night to generate 1:1 previews as i had found out that this is the major thing affecting lightroom performance. Unfortunately lightroom crushed on me 20% through the preview generating operation.
So here's the question, how can i have lightroom generate those 1:1 previews automatically without having to import the photos again or without having to bring up every photo individually, zoom in, wait for two minutes forthe large preview to generate, and repeat that operation 2000 times? Thankz for any help.

If I remember correctly LR 1 and 2.0 had a bug that it would stop rendering previews after 3000+ images, without giving any error message. It appeared that LR was rendering more previews, but previews after three thousand and some were not saved for some reason. So users had to render previews in multiple batches. Has this bug been fixed?

Unable to view photos after adjustments (except in preview mode)

I upgraded to Aperture 2.0 and would like the program but for an annoying glitch. Each time I open aperture I can make edits to one or two photos without problems, but then photos start to disappear from the viewer window. There is nothing but a blank canvas where they were. The photos will only reappear after a restart to aperture. The will appear in Preview Mode just fine.
Anyone have any ideas what the problem could be. I recall this happening a few times with 1.5.6, but this is now happening every time I use Aperture 2.0.

yes I get this more often on my Powerbook G4, and have had it a couple of times on my brand new MacBook Pro. With the MBP it's usually half or quarter of the image turning black. With the PG4 it's the whole image turning black. There are several threads on here about this issue with lots of respondents. This issue existed in 1.x and was fixed at some point (was gone in 1.5.6). Sadly it's returned.

Previews in Bridge get pixelated and discolored after adjustments?

Hello, I'm using Bridge 5.0.1.23 x64 via Photoshop CS6. I'm processing some low-light nighttime photos that require me to boost the "shadows" slider most of the way to the right to get the look I need. After doing this, I've noticed that the previews in Bridge look pixelated and purple in all of the shadow areas.
Is there a way to solve this?

Before & After Adjustments Preview

Is there a way to see a before and after view of an image you're working on. For example, to see the affects, before and after, of a WB adjustment, sharpening, etc.

Will this show the 'original' Master, or, if you're
working on a version, show the 'original' version of
the image you're working on?
It will show the original master the image was based on (mostly - it will not for example display the original master rotation if that changed).
There are a couple of other ways to get similar effects - at any time while you are using the adjustment tools you can turn the checkboxes on or off. Also since versions are "free" in that they take up no space you can make a new version to edit, and put both of the versions up at the same time - edits made only apply to the current selected version, so you could compare them side by side as you edit (even zoomed in if you like).
