Smart brush adjust texture size

Question

On one image I used ripple texture to simulate shine on glass and it worked great.  On another image, I tried to do the same thing but the texture is a small repeat pattern and doesn't look like glass at all.  I tried to get the effect by changing size and hardness and pattern size of the brush but no luck.  What should I do?

Try this:
In case you are using Smart brush - Textures,
After you apply the pattern on to your image, go to Layers panel ( normally on your right, if not, go to Windows > Layers)
Select the Adjustment layer( the one above your image, with a black and white mask thumbnail)
Double click on the left thumbnail - it will open a dialog with some texture settings
Increase the - Scale - to suit your results.
