Anyone know when 2.2 is coming out? I thought I saw a reference somewhere stating that Cisco was planning a late July release. That has come and gone.

  • Smart CallConnector Advance MAPI problem

    Hey All,
    We are doing our trial run at the moment before going all out with a new UC500, we are just trying the server software along with the Smart CallConnector Advance client.
    Out of the 4 computer we installed our CallConnector so far, 2 of them including mine are unable to enable MAPI under e-mail setting - Outlook/Exchange Profile setting. The other two computer are able to connect with their outlook and pull out exisiting contacts.  I've also notice after reinstalling the software numerous time on my computer, the CallConnector is able to pull out contacts from outlook, but  the enable MAPI is not highlighted to be able to tick off enable or disable. Once we restart the computer, it loses it's connection again of pulling contacts out and shows MAPI disabled on CallConnector when clicking on outlook contacts instead of Coportate Directory.
    Any suggestion on what I should look at and try?

  • Chat History within CallConnector Server/Advanced Client

    Is it possible to configure/setup IM chat recording/archiving with CallConnector Server?

    The Lync client will attempt to connect to Exchange Web Services in order to display items like Conversation History and Visual Voicemail.  If it cannot connect to EWS, it will fall back to a MAPI connection via the Outlook client.  The MAPI connection
    will allow chats to be deposited in the Conversation History folder and display presence information within Outlook and a few others, but the EWS connection provides a richer experience. 
    You can check how it is connecting by holding CTRL + right click on Lync system tray icon.  Then select Configuration Information.  You should see items for EWS internal/external URL, MAPI Information, and EWS Information.
    Unlike Outlook, Lync does not use the Autodiscover SCP to locate EWS.  Lync relies on the Exchange Autodiscover DNS A record to be setup both internally and externally.  Assuming Autodiscover and EWS are working properly, the following are required
    in order for Lync to connect to EWS successfully:
    - User's SIP URI and Primary SMTP address should match
    - Autodiscover.sipdomain.com DNS A record setup internally and externally for each SIP domain supported
    - EWS Internal/External URLS accurately configured on Exchange
    Let us know what you find.

  • CME & Smart CallConnector Operator

    Hi,
    Got CME 7.1 and Smart CallConnector Operator v2.1 but unable to display line status on the console of other phones. The documentation is sparse or good old Page Not Found for the Installation guide:

  • Free Smart Callconnector toolbar

    I have a customer using Windows 8.  We loaded the free version of smart callconnector.  Everything loaded and appears as it should on the desktop in Exploreer and Outlook.  The problem is that it will NOT allow me to add the "Cisco Unified CME Telephony Services Provider" into the [Phones and Modems] [Advanced] tab.  When we open the advanced tab and click "Add" we can see the "Cisco Unified CME Telephony Services Provider" option and we click it, but it will not load.  Any advise.  Other than going back to Windows 7.

    Problem solved....... Cisco presently does NOT support the tool bar in Windows version 8.  Don't sale that one.

  • Cisco Smart CallConnector Operator

    I have to setup Smart CallConnector Operator with a UC560 this weekend, but I can't really find any documents on setup.  All I see is a quick reference guide and a users guide and neither one of these seems to have anything on the actual setup.  Is it really that simple to setup?  I can't seem to find much on it.  Does anyone have any experience with it?

    I think I may have just answered my own question.  I found some information in the release notes.

    I have a customer with 6 CME on ISR 29x1, all interconnected through VPN, they want install a IM/presense server and I propose the Cisco CallConnector Server, (SW-UCC-CME), installed in headquarter, my question is: how many server license UCC I need to buy, is enough 1 license (I'll install only 1 server) or I need a license per each CME?

  • Smart CallConnector Toolbar

    Guten Tag ´Forum!
    Wie ihr den letzten Beiträgen entnehmen konntet habe ich ein UC560 aufgebaut und installiert.
    Die 25 Telefone der Zweigstelle laufen inzwischen so, wie es geplant war. Nun wünschen sich
    die Mitarbeiter aber noch ein Tool um vom PC zu wählen (aus SAP heraus).
    Dafür wollte ich die Smart CallConnector Toolbar (kostenfrei laut Cisco Homepage) installieren.
    Aber - kein Download ohne Servicevertrag (toll wie hier KOSTENLOS definiert wird). Kann mir
    ggf. jemand helfen?
    Über eine PN wäre ich dankbar.                  
    Nach nun 3 ersten Wochen mit Cisco Produkten muß ich sagen - grundsätzlich gute Produkte,
    aber ein ganz bescheidener Service. Immerhin hat die Hardware ca. 30 TEUR netto gekostet.
    Aber dafür gibt es weder ein Handbuch, einen Zugang zu einer Quelle im Internet oder gar
    Softwareupdates und zugriff auf Freeware - Fehlanzeige.. . Das ist schon ganz schön schwach...
    Natürlich verstehe ich, wenn man auch Service verkaufen will - aber wenigstens die Basics
    sollten doch schon "ab Werk" geliefert werden.
    Um auf dem UC 560 - dem VPN Lizenzen beiliegen - einen Tunnel zu installieren wird ebenfall
    wieder Software benötigt (Web Package) die nur mit Servicevertrag downloadbar ist. Das
    verstehe wer will..

  • Smart CallConnector Advanced Connection Issues

    I've just setup the SCC Server and the SCC Advanced client.
    The client is saying that it is unable to connect to the server.
    The server seems fully operational, and I have verified network connectivity to it.
    I followed the server setup guide without any issues, all the "servers" show green.
    Any suggestions for troubleshooting?
    The exact error is "Unable to connect to server" (after 5 retries).
    And before you ask, no I cannot call STAC, this was NFR software for a demo system, we didn't bother with a service contract.

    I have this same exact error.  The strange thing is it only occurs on one workstation, I have 25 others that work perfectly.  A coincidence is that this same machine got stuck on "Computing space" during setup.  I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, etc., but nothing seems to work.  I have had indications that the problem during setup has something to do with VC runtime, I have uninstalled and reinstalled all versions, but to no avail.  Any help would be appreciated.

  • Callconnector software for CME: Smart or Unified

    Hi,
    short question:
    Which suite is currently the prefered version if you want to use Callconnector features with the CME ? Unified Callconnector is stuck at v2.1 (CME8.5 max) and Smart Callconnector's main focus is the UC500-series although the documentation says it supports CME (up till 9.x).

    The last update of i tune  that i have is 10.5.2.11  on my computers ( windows XP, Vista and 7 ) that update broke the link to my media smart server. I cannot connect my itunes on my server with the itunes on my computers.
    Wath is the problem with that update?

  • CallConnector for 32-Bit Outlook

    Cisco Forum:
    I'm supporting a customer trying to implement the Smart CallConnector Toolbar application in a Window's 7 64-Bit environment with 32-Bit Outlook.  The latest I could find on the forum is that this is not a supported environment (Window's 64-Bit with Outlook 32-Bit).  Do you know if that is still valid information?  We loaded the SCC today and the installation worked except that Outlook is not reflecting any SCC Toolbar information.

    There is not much information on Cisco unified Callconnector Operator from Cisco, there is no user guide on Operator nor any configuration document.
    I want to know if it support integration with LDAP and if it supports the SIP phone? Also, like to know how to configure it.

  • Need advice on multiple iPods on one computer

    I have found the article on running more than one iPod on a computer. The directions seem simple. I just wanted to post my situation and ask an additional question.
    My wife's laptop recently died but we were able to save the hard drive. So her iTunes library should still be there in tact (everything else is). With the current state of the ecomony we are trying to save money and have her "share" my laptop. Is there a way to copy over her library from that hard drive without screwing up my library?
    In looking at the instructions for running multiple iPods on one computer, option 3 seems like the best method for the time being. I also have an HP Smart Media Server that has an iTunes system for sharing but I have not had the time to explore that in much depth and have not found much in the documentation that comes with the server. I would greatly appreciate any advice you may have.

    Yes, if you are both on your laptop with one windows user login, method 3 can work.....but it can also be really confusing.
    You will both have to train yourselves to ALWAYS do the itunes shift-start before opening itunes, every time. Your ITL file is on the laptop and hers is on the salvaged hard drive. I assume you put it in an enclosure and it's connected via USB?
    You might also need to check the preferences every time.
    For instance if you want your new additions to go to the laptops's hard drive. She wants her podcasts to go to the salvaged drive. You'd have to change your preferences every time using method 3.
    You might want to get he media server going before too much longer! And switch to Method 1 with a shared folder on the server.
