Unless I am missing something, there is no date picker in the Smart Collection dialogue box. This is annoying, and the opposite would be very useful.

You need to let us know the Visual Studio version and client type.
If it is the HTML client then often this can happen by by wiring up the tap events in the wrong place or similar mistakes.
If it is desktop client then you need to be checking your code, commands, event wiring and then posting back details if you cannot see the mistake.

  • Monitoring Cisco ISE - Smart Care

    Dear,
I have a communication problem between ISE and Cisco Smart Care. I configure the community and the ip of the server but the SmartCare ISE displays the following message  ¨ Device Type not Found¨.
I wonder if the Smart Care has the ability to withstand use for monitoring or if someone  did this through SNMP configuration without problems.
    Cisco ISE  : 1.2
    Smart Care : 1.14.15
    Bestregards

    Hi,
This could possibly due to ‘Data Purging’. When a purge operation triggers, if the actual used database disk space is greater than the configured threshold, the purge operation removes all data from the Monitoring database tables prior to the data retention window.

  • Vector Smart Object bounding box is huge

I've copied and pasted a shape from Illustrator into Photoshop CS6.
When I go to transform layer, Photoshop is putting a large bounding box around the object — even though the object's bounds are much smaller.
Any ideas how to fix this? No other layers are selected or linked to the Vector smart object.

Turns out that arrow was really a clipping path for an invisible giant rectangle.
Seems silly that Photoshop cares about hidden stuff inside a clipping path, no?

    Hello Manoj,
This is what happens if you do not give the complete scenario.
If you are using a SF. Create an alternative node:
    1. If true, call the text having symbol <697>
    2. If false, call the text with symbol <727>.
I hope you know the condition based on which the checkbox has to be displayed.

it seems theres no power comming out of the control box(connected the loom to an older ck-7w and it worked)but when i plug in the 616 box i'm getting nothing!!
theres no power going to the control button or the screen.
could anybody help me with this or is it knackered?

Is the blue wire connected to a positive supply when you turn the ignition on. Without this the kit will not work.

  • Will the smart cover be inside the box of the iPad 2 or a separate package?

I bought the iPad 2 black Friday and heard it was delivered yesterday. Not getting it until Christmas, but I have been watching unboxing videos on YouTube and found one that had smart cover in box of iPad 2. Did anybody, who bought the iPad 2 online, find the smart cover inside the box?

No you have to purchase it separately from your iPad.

  • Third party hardware for converting Lp's & tapes//converting VHS

Awhile back, I happened to notice a friend using an relatively inexpensive third party hardware/software bundle that was able to convert the audio output from his stereo to his mac for creating MP3s from Lps & cassette tapes. Does anyone know of a inexpensive product that will do this?
On a separate topic, I have a few VHS tapes I would like to convert to mov files. Is there something similar to the above item that will do this for me? I would prefer it have a firewire interface (Why FW vs USB? Because I have too many USB items plugged into my G5 as it is; I have always had spotty luck with third party items that solely use USB, the acception being my Epson products; and I tend to have a personal preference for FW.) and also be inexpensive, since I will be using this on a very occasional basis.

    Yosarian,
I don't use the ADVC 55 or Datavideo's product so I can't comment on it. But like most things, you get what you pay for and saving a few bucks here or they will cost you in quality or a feature you may need shortly down the road. As for connecting a walkman to the back of your G5, it will sound "good". Meaning that if the same music were played side by side from a CD and cassette, you would hear the difference. However I've done it dozens of times for different types of projects and it's very acceptable. If you play the CD you make from the transferred cassette on a high quality home stereo system, it will sound a bit compressed, but if played in a car, boom box, iPod, etc. you will likely never know the difference. In fact, I have transferred many LP's to CD using Roxio toast, and playing the CD's in the car or home sounds wonderful (except the inherent faint "popping" of LP's). Give it a try, it should work for all but the most demanding of applications.

  • Migrating to different box

    Hi Guys,
We are shifting our prod server to different hardware(box) through backup restore method where OS and DB would be same and the same IP and hostname as that of our current prod server would be assigned to new hardware. As per my understanding we need to apply sap license after restoration. Is there anything else I need to take care of??
    Please advice.
    Regards,
    Mridul

    HI Imridul,
No. That's all you need to do. Just copy all your SAP from old machine to new one and rename your new hardware (to the same as the old one) and set same IP.
Apply new license since this new hardware would generate new hardware key.
I have already to this method several times and It works fine

  • What's the difference between SmartNet Total Care, and SmartCare?

    Has anyone here used SmartCare?
What was your experience like, and would you recommend it over SmartNet Total Care?

I can't answer about the customer experience of using Smart Care, but I can help provide some guidance on the differences between the two services.  Hope this helps.
Smart Net Total Care and Smart Care are both smart support services and both include Cisco’s award winning support, including technical support, hardware replacement, knowledge base access and OS upgrades.  There are three main differences—first line of support, size of the network and offer customization.
For first line of support—Smart Net Total Care support is provided directly through Cisco, the customer technical support is provided by the Cisco TAC.  Smart Care, on the other hand, is sold and supported through a qualified Cisco Partner, so the customer would get their first line of support from the partner (the partner can work with Cisco TAC if needed).
For targeted network environments—Smart Net Total Care has been designed to support large, dynamic networks.  It is able to support tens of thousands of devices.  Smart Care is targeted to mid-sized customers—from 10’s up to 1000’s of devices.
For customization—Smart Net Total Care is a defined service with a well-defined list of capabilities, which include technical support (TAC, OS updates, hardware Replacement and cisco knowledge base), and smart capabilities (installed base and contract management, alerts, device diagnostics).  Smart Care has a base level of capabilities, but the partner can choose to add specific features and functionality to meet their customer’s needs.  The base functionality includes the technical support and smart capabilities of SNTC, and also has additional features designed for smaller networks—monitoring, disaster recovery, and technology assessments.
Bottomline, you will need to evaluate the Smart Care offer that your partner provides and compare it with what Smart Net Total Care can offer to see which best meets your network and business needs.

  • Digital Signatures with Smart Cards

    Hi folks,
It is my first time with digital signatures on R/3 system. I’m at customer that uses smart cards (hardware cryptography). We are doing the SAPCRYPTOLIB and front end installations. After finish these tasks, we need to implement the signatures into 3 workflow processes. I already read the SSF programmers guide, API specifications and SSF user guide. But I still have some doubts:
The SSF profile is stored into smart card with private key information, but where are the public keys stored? (PAB – Private Address Book of my trusted circle).
Do I need the CRLs? Note: this is only for workflow processes that run inside of customer landscape; this is not a B2B scenario.
We don’t have clear yet how we sign the data; we are thinking sign a BOR object. Create an attribute and use it to pass the signer data. Note: for the customer, the objective is user authenticity guarantee.
The BOR object instance ends when the flows finish, so wee need to store the signed data for auditable reasons. A database table can be a good approach or there is another standard way?
P.S.: anyone have documentation about this subject, something like how-to with guidelines?
    Thanks in advance,
    Ricardo.

The SmartCard device is present at the frontend PC - and that's the place where the digital signature operation has to take place. Important is the "What You See Is What You Sign" principle: it has to be ensured that the data that is to be signed (using the private key stored on the SmartCard) is exactly the same as the one that is displayed to the user.
Notice: there is a different scenario where the server is signing the data (after prompting the user for userID and password and validating that information).
The signed data is then transported back to the server where it is stored (to ensure auditibility); usually you'll have to keep the (archived) data for years; the public key need to be archived as well.
Notice: it is possible to attach the certificate (-> public key) which has been used to sign the data to the signed data.

  • Interface or converter for 1st generation 10GB iPod to car kit ?

Hi, replaced my old but well doing 1st generation 10GB iPod by a new 4GB nano because the old accu is almost all down. Have as well installed a bn iPod car kit instead of my car CD player. My idea was to use the old 10GB iPod in the cars glove box, because the weary battery wouldn´t bother any more since it´s connected to the cars electric supply.
The PROBLEM is: the connecting plug of the car kit fits all new iPod models, but not to the old 1st generation iPod.
Is there a converter or sort of interface available?
Or does anybody know how to solve this?
Thanks in advance for any hint and tip! Would be a pity to use it simply as a storage HD...

Yeah, 1st gen came with Firewire port, you can try to find a firewire adapater which is not easy at all. However, you can plug an audio fm transmitter with the headphone jack of your iPod
