1- Revise your Smart Connect settings, don't forget that Walkman is now called Music, may be you need to re-select it again.2- Clear cache of Smart Connect app:- Go to Settings -> Apps -> Smart Connect -> Force stop, Unistall updates, Clear data.
- Go to your Play Store and update Smart Connect again.

  • Anyone notice the Smart Guides bug in CS5?

    ID CS5 has a Smart Guides bug when resizing frames to match the size of other frames.  When releasing the mouse after the Smart Guides pop up showing the sizes are equal the frame size changes.  When analyzing this it appears the frame does not resize to where the SmartGuides popped up but where the cursor is located.  There is also jumpiness between the position of cursor and where the Smart Guides pop up.  This behavior occurs vertically and horizontally.  While some jumpiness still exist, it works reliably when frames are aligned.  In other words, if a frame is resized to a point where two sides are aligned then the size of the frame does not change when the mouse is released.
    I have verified the bug in both Windows and Mac versions of IDCS5.
    None of the behavior exist with Smart Guides in ID CS4.
    Is anyone else experiencing this behavior?

    I am using a laptop, Mac OSX 10.5.8, with ATI Radeon X1600.  The issue still existed wtih my Wacom tablet mouse and a Logitech mouse.  I also just uninstalled the program and reinstalled it and the issue still existed.
    This issue also exists on an iMac with Windows 7 running ID CS5 for Windows.
    Are you using a Mac by any chance?  The issue does not exist so much when the frames are aligned.  So, if you are trying it out and Smart Guides creates a line connecting the two frames you need to move them out of alignment.  Also, if your cursor is dead center over the edge of the frame all is ok.  What it's really doing is snapping to where the cursor is and not to where the Smart Guides popped up.  I'll be really surprised if you're not seeing it with a Mac.

  • Smart Connect draining battery

    Hey,
    I noticed the other day that my battery was draining faster than usually (just after I was awing how great the battery life is ) and checked the battery usage statistics and noticed Smart Connect draining my battery. As this has only happened once (for now) I was wanted to info Sony about this bug. It happened right after i purchased DK36 and started using it and made a night profile for it.

    I have had this issue also on my Z2, i noticed it the other day when my battery was starting to drain considerably faster than it had been doing in the past, checked the battery info section and found that 18% of my battery had been used by smart connect, i have since disabled smart connect and my good battery life has returned!

  • Smart connect not working with headphones

    smart connect app has stopped working with headphones, have tried emptying data and also restored the phone to factory settings, but still nothing with any pair of headphones, I have installed the soundabout app and all headphones are working with that, so wondering if it is a software problem rather than the headphone jack that is the problem, any advice please?

    You tried a factory reset - Try performing a system repair using PC Companion as this will often fix issues - This will factory reset your phone and erase all data so backup what you need 1st - This is not the same as a factory reset but will achieve the same outcome
    Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
    Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process
    If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

  • E72 and Smart Connect, how do I get it to work?

    Hi All
    Just been given an E72 from work and have read about smart connect, I have it all set up but it won't work, and to be honest I don't really understand what I'm doing!
    Can somebody please provide and idiots guide for me.
    All I want it to do is connect to my home wifi when at home, the 3G when out and about (or any free wifi if available)
    It can't be that difficult but I just can't seem to get my head round it.

    You are looking to find that you have set up Smart Connect as a Destination in Menu > Ctrl. panel > Settings > Connection > Destinations > Smart Connect 
    Taking grschinon advice in my case WLAN is Priority 1 and Network is Priority 2 as here:

  • SBH52 and Smart Connect problems

    Hi everyone, I just found some problems with my new Z2 and SBH52
    - Sometimes SBH52 connected, Walkman started, tracks played, but there's no sound.
    - After turning off SBH52, the notification "SBH52 disconnected" can't be cleared from Notifications panel (turning Bluetooth off will clear it)
    - Smart Connect can not turn off Bluetooth automatically with events End Action: Turn off Bluetooth
    - Smart Connect adjust wrong Volume settings (I set Music: 2, Ring: 4, Alarm: 4 but Smart Connect keeps setting it to Music :1, Ring :3, Alarm: 3)

    I connected SHB52 with my xperia Z3 tablet compact compact.
    I also have the similar problems as RoWe.
    In addition, when I touch any button on screen (such as back, home, links in browser including notification bar), the music function of SBH52 will switch between play/pause instantly all the time. If I didn't notice that it is showing ▶ on music function screen, the SBH52 will be disconnected from my Z3TC. The notification bar is still remain connected but it didn't! I have to turn off Bluetooth and off the SBH52 then then on both to be able to use it again every time.
    Please help! This is very big issue for me.

  • Smart connect not detecting connections and phone not detecting headphones

    Hi
    The smart connect app in my Z2 used to auto launch the profile i set when my Blue tooth ear phones connect and disconnect but not anymore. Force stopping the app does not work. It was working before the lasted android update.
    Also my phone has stopped detecting my beats plug in headphones. Again it used to work prior to the software update last month.
    Sony if you're reading this please issue a patch soon thanks!

  • How can i uninstall Smart Connect?

    Sony Z1 Compact - an incredible lovely piece of hardware.
    Sony Z1 Compact Smart Connect - an incredibly annoying piece of software!
    Somehow Sony has chosen (I bet for evil reasons - I simply can't find any other reason), to disable the option of uninstalling Smart connect on Z1 compact. Why do I want to uninstall it? Well every freaking time I'm BT connected I get the apps startup screen bragging about what it can do for me. I know **bleep** well what it can do for me. I have been using Tasker for ages and want to continue using it, simply because I think its better and because I WANT TO!!! (read that Sony) - that is the whole idear about Android. Then to be able to uninstall it I have to root my phone - for that I need to use sonys fastboot. And the install procedure doest not work! No where in the Sony community help you there. So know I'm left with a product that I don't like anymore. 
    The above is the extreme diplomatic version of my frustrations about Sony. I went from Samsung to Sony because of the nice size and good processor and the waterproof ness. But now I learned that Sony is using all the dirty tricks to force me to do stuff I don't want to. 
    I can't convince you that I will ditch Sony from now on to everybody I know. When Sony has choosen to be evil, I will be evil. And in about a year or two, Sony migh be wondering why the heck their sales didn't go up as planned. Well I will tell you why - I'm not alone about these frustrations.

  • Smart Connect - where is the user guide?

    The Sony Smart Connect app is not intuitive, at least not for me and I don't have spare hours to learn it through trial and error.  Is there a detailed user's guide anywhere?  What are the exact definitions of "Condition" and "Action"?  I have my xperia tablet z linked to a Sony speaker SRS-BTX500 and am totally baffled by the Smart Connect screen that shows "Speaker" on the left, then "SRS-BTX500" on the right along with an admonition to "Add condition".  I just want the speaker to turn on when I play Music Unlimited and to turn off when I stop Music Unlimited.  Or do I have this backwards?  

    What Smart Connect does is to automatically perform certain actions (start an app, change settings) that you select under certain conditions (when you connect a certain accessory, at a certain time) that you select.
    If you for example set the conditions "Charger" and "Time 22.00-07.00" and the action "Sound mode: silent" this means that if a charger is connected and time is between 22.00 and 07.00 the tablet will be in silent mode.
    The tablet can unfortunately not turn on/off the power in your speaker for you. If the speaker is on and paired with your tablet it will automatically be used when you play music regardless of Smart Connect. What you could do using Smart Connect is to set the speaker as a condition and Music Unlimited as an Action. What will happen then is that when you power on the speaker and it gets connected Smart Connect will start the app Music Unlimited for you.

  • Smart Connect can't turn off Bluetooth

    Hello,
    I purchased an Xperia Z3 Compact and Smart Connect is unable to turn off Bluetooth at the end of an action.  Below is the setup I have been trying to get work.
    - Bluetooth turned on manually
    - Turn on Bluetooth headphones.
    Smart Connect:
     - Start Action:
         - Connect Bluetooth headphones
         - Start Walkman App
         - Play track
         - Adjust Volumes
    - End Action:
         -Disconnect Bluetooth headphones
         - Pause track
         - Turn off Bluetooth
    The problem is that the Bluetooth will not turn off and I must do it manually.  The Bluetooth on and off works for wired headphones, but not for Bluetooth headphones.  Can this be addressed or at least send me information to get this fixed?

  • Standard Headphones with Smart Connect thinking its a Headset

    Hi,
    I'm currently having an issue when I connect headphones (via the jack) to my new Z1. It brings up the smart connect "Search for more applications" window with the choice of "None".
    I have to tell it every time that I don't want it to do anything.
    It appears that the Z1 thinks I've connected a Headset, not headphones, and pressed the "app key".  I am using standard in ear sennheiser headphones that have no buttons or mic, and I have tried other headphones with the same effect.
    First things first, how do I get it to recognise that I have plugged in a headphone not headset?
    Secondly, how can I stop it asking me everytime? (all I need is a tickbox to say "don't ask again")
    Hope there is someone who can help.
    (I have searched the forum already, but I'm sorry if this is a duplicate)

    It is available worldwide for some time now, but I heard in UK there are some delays.
    If you really are in rush wit this, you can always flash the firmware by yourself with FlashTool, but if I were you I would wait a little longer to do this the standard way, so no backup/restore procedure is needed (flashing with everything but PCC will erase everything from the phone).
    When everything have failed already, try to read the manual.

  • How to REMOVE PayPal Smart Connect from PayPal Account

    I've been trying to REMOVE the PayPal Smart Connect from my PayPal Account with no luck.  I already cancelled my PayPal Smart Connect.  I confirmed today that is cancelled but it's linked to my PayPal Account and I don't find a way to REMOVE it.  I wrote to PayPal and they told me PayPal Smart Connect are the only one that can remove it, but I call PayPal Smart Connect and the only option I've been given is to CANCEL the account which is already cancelled.  Does anyone know how to REMOVE it??

  • Izettle credit card reader smart connect app failure

    Hi,
    I own a Xperia Z1Compact Android version 4.4.4 with the integrated SmartConnect software and a pin&signature iZettle credit card reader.
    I see why it is not compatible with such device... the SmartConnect app will interfere the operation of the iZettle during the chiping process by requesting to assign an app to be launched by the "app button" which happens not to be there, but being the signal of the izettle working...
    I undestand that iZettle may have no time to develop such workarounds for any smartphone on the market, but it would be really helpful if you could provide some sort of guidance so independent developers can make it work for you. I am not a developer, just a user with some understanding.
    Since disabling SmartConnect app will result in the izettle reader not being recognized -as I found out already- I can think of two possible solutions:
    - An extension for Xperia devices that allows to assign the "app button" of a headset to point and launch the chiping process on the izettle, so it work with SmartConnect by assigning that extension app.
    - An app that enables to use the port normally while disabling the SmartConnect feature.
    We all Xperia users will be very glad to know that izettle is now compatible with our devices.
    PLEASE SONY, FIX SMART CONNECT APP TO ACCEPT IZETTLE READERS!!!!

  • Smart connect needs a full silent option (no sound, no vibrate) on Z3 D6652 Build 23.1.A.0.726

    I usually use smart connect and NFC tag to fully silent my phone at night time (no vibrate or sound), yet the only option in smart connect is sound, vibrate and priority, and priority mode vibrates. I realise I can now change to full silent mode from the lock screen with the volume button, but i thought it would be an option to put into smart connect as a selection.
