Smart Folder or Search for Exchange Invites in Mail
Hi,
I'm using MAC Mail with the MS Exchange Server at work.
I was looking for a way to quickly search or create a smart folder to group all of these items in Mail.
Is this possible? Any ideas?
Thanks,
Frank
I had the same problem appear when I added a second exchange account into mac mail. I wanted my Sent email to pull from my primary email account. I deleted my primary account and re-added it. When it pulled all the messages in again, my Sent folder items came back.

Nokia 5800 - 'Mail for Exchange' and 'Nokia mail'....
Ok may be a silly question but while looking through my 'installed apps' on my 5800, since i was thinking of 'clearing some stuff out' to make that little bit more memory on the phone (Currently I'm ~ 3/4 full)
I noticed that although MOST of them (games etc) are already on my memory card there's a few stuck on the phone.
Many I guess can't be removed (such as 'Symbian OS' stuff, 'OVI Maps' or other 'OVI Store' stuff) but what about programs that seem to be 'duplicates' (i.e. seem to do the same thing) ??
Why should I have 2 'Map' programs or 2 'Email' program etc ??
In particular - why should I need to have 'Mail for Exchange' AND 'Nokia Mail' installed at the same time. Both are ~ 1Mb each and both seem to be related to 'Getting Emails onto the phone'
Can't I just stick to one one them - say 'Nokia Mail' & remove 'Mail for Exchange' ??
Doinf so will only free up 1Mb of phone memory, but it'll help - or does one program rely on the other ??
Thanks in advance
P.S. I've just noticed there's a couple of other programs 'In Phone memory' that seem suspicious.
One is called 'Chinese Lion (164Kb Supplier: QTEL) and the other is called 'Diamonds' (102kb Supplier: WANGP) - anyone know what these are ??
Motto: Illegitimis non carborundumMost users don't need both, but each has a different purpose which is why both are offered. Nokia Messaging is Nokia's in-house push mail service available for all consumers (currently it requires a certain type of operator subscription, but I understand that is about to change so that it is open to all). Mail for Exchange is primarily for business users whose company uses Microsoft Exchange for corporate mail.
Likewise, you don't need to Maps apps - GPS-equipped phones always have Nokia/Ovi Maps preisntalled, unless youe phone is an operator-variant from a network which has its own GPS service or you bought the phone second-hand from somebody else, I don't see why it would have another similar application.
For general memory management, this post which I made in reply to another user with memory issues may help:

Smart folder not searching external HDD connected to Airport Extreme
I have bunch of movie files (mp4 format) on external HDD connected to the new Airport Extreme station. When I create a smart folder on either one of the machines on my local network, the smart folder would not search at all through the HDD connected to the Airport Extreme.
I have another HDD connected directly to my PowerMacG5Quad and smart folders successfuly searches through that drive.
However, when I ask for any type of search (i.e. any kind of files) located on a networked external HDD, smart folders acts is if the networked drive is not even there.
Obviously, my purpose here is to have the difference machines access (RSS style) all the movies files located on the networked HDD.
Is it some permission in Airport Extreme?Does this help?

Key Finding :
Im using this method for the last one year but haven't got this issue in past. But recently my images aren't filter properly.

Screen Shot 2015-02-23 at 11.54.49 am.png 107 KBhi there,
that error message sounds like you placed a shared folder within a parent folder that is not shared. It also can help to boot into Recovery Mode (pressing Command and R simultanously when hearing the startup tune), launch Disk Utility, select the disk containing your OSX installation (usually named Macintosh HD) and choose Verify Disk Permissions. Should any problems be reported select Repair Disk Permissions. Once that is finished, reboot normally.
Though unlikely, it might have happened during all the folder removing and readding that some Permissions are out of sync. So checking these Permissions is merely a precaution
Once you are back in "normal" OSX using your admin account, try this:
Open Terminal from the Utilites folder
enter the following commands one line at a time:
mkdir /Users/Shared/Family
mkdir /Users/Shared/Family/Movies
mkdir /Users/Shared/Family/Mom
chown -R <placeholder> /Users/Shared/Family
chmod -R 755 /Users/Shared/Family
Be sure to replace <placeholder> with your account's short name (no brackets!)
Now open System Preferences and select Sharing
Select File Sharing from the left pane
Click on the little plus and add /Users/Shared/Family to your shares (The subfolders are automatically included)
in the right most pane check the access privileges. They are set, so that you can read and write to those folders, while everyone else can only read. If you want everybody to have read and write privileges, use 777 instead of 755 within the terminal last command.
Now the other computers should be able to see and use the shared folder you just created.
If you create individual user accounts on your machine for every family member you want to access the shared folders, you can choose far more sophisticated levels of access privileges.
Hope this helps,

Searching for exchange messages more than 30 days old
How do I search for email messages on my exchange server more than 30 days old. iPhone allows this.
Hey amazingclick,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Thanks for the question.
Are you setup with ActiveSync with Exchange or BlackBerry Enterprise Server 10 with Exchange?
I look forward to your reply.
Cheers.

Forefront for Exchange 2010 - no mails in quarantine or incidents list
I have a client with Forefront 2010 installed on their exchange 2010 server. I see 45 messages that have been blocked as spam in the dashboard - 43 connection, 1 smtp and 1 content.
The client wants to know which messages are being blocked and which aren't, however when I open up the incidents and quarantine pages there is nothing there.
They have the antispam configuration set to stamp headers and continue for SCL5 to 9 and it seems to me that things should be in the quarantine.
I have all the logging options turned on and I've followed the other technet threads about this issue but none of those solutions seem to work on this machine.
If anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate it!Hi,
Firstly, please make sure if you have enabled the anti-spam filtering engine of FPE. If yes, please refer to the blog below:
Exchange Content Filter settings are ignored
Besides, please make sure you have installed all the released hotfix rollups for FPE. Please also make sure that you have enabled "Enable content filtering incident logging" in Advanced Options of Global settings.
You can deliver quarantined items to specified recipients and set emial notification.
In addition, only an Administrator can access/manage the quarantine of FPE.
Please also ensure that you haven't configured FPE to automatically purge quarantined in a short time.
FPE content filter uses the Cloudmark™ Antispam engine to analyze each e-mail message and stamp it with a SCL.
When the setting 5 – 9 is selected, all messages with a rating of 5 or higher are treated as suspected spam.
Messages with an SCL rating of -1 and 0 will be treated as non-spam. You have the option to Quarantine or Stamp header and continue processing mail with an SCL rating in the 5 – 9 range.
If the issue persists, you can adjust the SCL setting to a lower value to see if the issue persists.

Exact search for phrase in Apple Mail
I want to search in all my mail in Apple Mail for: Some phrase exactly this way
For example, I ONLY want to see emails which contain: working with Andy
I do NOT want to see any emails which contain less than ALL those words in that EXACT order.
In other words, I want to search for an exact phrase.
How do I do this? With difficulty I think.
If it's a short phrase you might be able to get close by;
Use Boolean searches:
You can use Boolean operators such as AND, OR, and NOT. For example, to search for messages that contain “yosemite” and “yellowstone” but not “teton,” type “yosemite AND yellowstone NOT teton” or “yosemite AND yellowstone -teton.” You must type Boolean operators in uppercase. -
Mail for Exchange - Show e-mail inbox on front pag...
Hi,
I used E61 and E61i and on both they showed 2 emails from the Mail for Exchange Inbox on the frontpage. The E71 only shows new mail notifier but if I want to go to to the inbox I have to find my way.
Is it possible to show Mail for Exchange on the front page of the Nokia E71. It´s something I miss.
Thanks.

Can I turn off automatic reply for exchange invitations?
Hi all,
just a quick question: I just bought an iPhone 5 for work, i'm very happy with my choice and really like iOs but there's something that bugs me, I searched the web and found nothing.
So I setup my exchange e-mail account wich works perfectly fine, but it seems that everytime I accept or decline an invitation from my phone the phone itself automatically sends the answer to whoever has invited me wich isn't actually so bad, but i would prefer to choose that for myself. Can I go in the settings and change something there to avoid this issue?
please let me know
Thanks in advance
BenIt's the new Teac HD-radio ipod charger that you can buy at Costco for $100.
I also have the same problem when I plug in my Ipod on my Alpine Stereo...the same music always start up on the plug-in. So I'm guessing this happens on many divices. Any way to keep the music from starting up on start-up.
Thanks again for taking time to read and hopefully respond!

No "sent" folder for exchange account in mail
Hi There -
I recently added a hosted Exchange account to the Mail client. Everything is working great, but I can't seem to find the "Sent" folder anywhere...I tried the dropdown folder list and it's not in there.
Any suggestions?I had the same problem appear when I added a second exchange account into mac mail. I wanted my Sent email to pull from my primary email account. I deleted my primary account and re-added it. When it pulled all the messages in again, my Sent folder items came back.

Support for Exchange/MessageMirror in Mail app -
is there any way to give the native mail application access to a MessageMirror mailbox on an Exchange server? Based on what I can find, the answer is "no," because the mail application doesn't support delegated mailboxes. I have two Exchange accounts, and MessageMirror boxes for both of them; I've been unable to use the native application for them since it doesn't seem to support the MessageMirror option. I'm left with Outlook for Mac (using 2011 version), which I hate. I would love to switch, but have been unsuccessful in getting the folders added. Anyone have any suggestions?

Searching for keywords in Apple Mail 5.2 desktop
I can easily use the Search feature in Mail 5.2 and it will show messages with the keyword I am looking for, but I can find no way for it to display the message or to tell me what specific mailbox the message is located. I must be overlooking something very basic, but I cannot find any specific direction either in help or in the forums. The message I am looking for shows up in the Drop Down list under the categories People, Subjects, and Mailboxes--but no matter which area I click on no message is shown, only the criteria specific category now shows in the Search box and clicking on that produces nothing.
Again, I must be overlooking something or else there is some glitch in Mail.
I will greatly appreciate any suggestions or fixes.
Message was edited by: Hunter06Updated Information: I created a rule in my PC Outlook 2010 which makes a copy of all my mail and puts into another folder. As I stated above, all my sub-folders seem to be getting e-mail just fine. So, in this case I am now getting my inbox mail too, just its in another directory. Of course I am getting double mail, but thats ok for now.
I also had deleted all mail from my inbox from Thunderbird and re-started Apple Mail, which had no clue my mail was deleted. I used the "Rebuild" option, and then it finally figured out the mail was deleted. I went into the INBOX folder on the Mac and the individual files were gone now. I now have an empty inbox folder, and no new mail coming in (inside the Apple Mail folder).
After all this, I am still not getting mail in the inbox. This is very strange. I thought it might be something clogging up the works, but no such luck. Still, any help would be appreciated. Can I truly be the only person having this problem? At this point, it seems like I need to delete the account and re-create and see what happens. That would make me really disappointed in Apple Mail, something I wouldnt expect. -
