Smart Form by email
Hi SDN,
According to the help:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm40sr1/helpdata/en/2b/468ca63fa611d5b6a1006094192fe3/frameset.htm
"To send forms as e-mails using SAP Smart Forms, you have to fill the e-mail parameters of the generated function module:
The parameters MAIL_SENDER and MAIL_RECIPIENT to pass the sender and the recipient of the document. To fill these parameters, you have to create the respective BOR objects of object type RECIPIENT and fill their attributes.
The parameter MAIL_APPL_OBJ, which you use to link the application object with the sent document. You have to create a BOR object for this parameter too.
To ensure that SAP Smart Forms evaluates the e-mail "
My problem is how can i make the conection to the BCI? On the generated function appears the folowing:
is_mail_appl_obj -
fill this parameter if your application object is a BOR object
the output will be connected with the BOR object via SAP Office
this is done for mail and fax but not for print outputs
------>
is_mail_appl_obj-LOGSYS =
is_mail_appl_obj-OBJTYPE =
is_mail_appl_obj-OBJKEY =
is_mail_appl_obj-DESCRIBE =
------>
How do i create the container?
Can you help me?
Thanks in advance

Hi,
I found the solution myself.
I've changed the paramter get OTF of the smart form function, then I call the FM CONVERT_OTF, change the format from 132 to 244 characters.
Then call a ZFM that uses the macro instructions for BOR
(message) and it works fine.

Thank youHi,
For sending smartform output into mail you first have to generate spool request and convert it into PDF and then
only it can be sended into mail, please find the sample code in the mail below:

Send Smart Forms within emails (html) Problems with format
Dear all,
the ABAP report SF_XSF_DEMO1 is a demo report which converts a certain smart form into HTML and then sends it as an email in html format.
Sending the email is possible without any problems but I am wondering about the email format.
<a href="http://www.imgbox.de/show/img/e4QvgzsS4L.jpg" title="Bilder hochladen">This screenshot shows how the email looks like.</a>
I am not happy with the email layout as the Smart Form "SF_XSF_DEMO1" is designed in a different way.
What do I have to adapt within the report in order to send an email that really looks like the Smart Form? Or is it a customizing issue?
(I would like to avoid having to send the Smart Form as PDF attachment...)
Thanks for you help!
Kristian KindlerHi Kristian,
When ever you send a smartform output as an HTML email, the system generates automatic style sheets which are not supported in many email clients such as Outlook 2007, hence you will face a formatting issue. We faced the same issue and had do it it like this:
Build a BSP page similar to the output which you want to send as an email. Now you can use the BSP URL to send the html email using cl_bcs class.
I have documented this in my article below-
http://divulgesap.com/blog.php?p=NDA=
Hope it helps.

Hello eveyone,
i have a requirment to send smart form to external email address such as [email protected] i have created form but have no idea how to send smart form to external address.
we currently use just a code to send emails using SAPConnect but the text is hard coded.but now we want smart form to go out with email. does any one have any idea as what to do.
any idea will be appreciated. but i am looking for specific answers.
RegardsThis is all triggered by some program I am sure....so here goes....
(1) program starts
(2) does whatever logic to generate Smartform
(3) output and store Smartform on server
(4) call email function and set the appropriate to/from/subject/body info and make the Smartform the attachment
(5) end of program
This could even be scheduled with a variant to automate it. -

Email PDF smart form Support Desk
Hi SDN,
I'm working on support desk - solution manager, and i need to send the solution of the support message by email to the final user.
There is an standard action (SLF1 -SMSD_SERVICE_ORDER_DNO_OUTPUT) that sends the solution in pdf format by email, but we couldn't set the receivers online.
So, I'm using an "z" action that executes an smart form, and i would like to send the smart form in pdf format by the internet.
I'd like to use fm SO_DYNP_OBJECT_SEND, because the user must fill the receivers on-line
So far i have de OTF, and i know that i can make a conversion to pdf format, but i've the following problem
- the pdf in attach is empty, it may be because of the format, or may be i'm not using correctly this function.
Thanks in advance,

But I cant send the mail because of the error: Erro interno: SO_OBJECT_MIME_GET Exceção: 2
Can you help me on this? What Im doing wrong? What document class I need to use on the AttachmentType?
Thanks in advance.

Smart Form not going as attachment with Email
Hi,
I am configuring actions for support message and email has to be automatically sent to a particular partner based on status of support message.
I am using standard actions and standard smart forms.
The email is also going but without attachment. The mail body is also blank. The subject appears as the name of smart form
When I preview from Actions in transaction, I am able to view the complete smartform.
Is there any settings I have missed out.
In SCOT we have configured SAP Script/ Smart Forms as PDF.
Useful answers will be rewarded.

Sending emails in PDF & TXT format generated by SAP script/Smart forms
Hi
We have a requirement to configure SMTP node to send emails in PDF & TXT format. Currently, Output format for SAP Documents generated by SAP Script/Smart Forms configured in PDF. (Tx - SCOT - SMTP Node - Intetnet - Output Forms for SAP Documents). But, We also like to send emails in TXT format for other application in the same system. I see that you can send emails generated by SAP Script/Smart Forms either in PDF or TXT format not both.
Is it possible to send the emails in both the formats by configuring in Tx SCOT?
Your inputs will be appreciated.
Regards
ChanduHi chandu,
1. emails in both the formats by configuring in Tx SCOT ?
Scot will allow only ONE AT A TIME.
2. The other workaround is,
that using some FM
convert the OTF (sapscript/smartform)
data to TEXT,
and send it as RAW
3. Configure RAW = TEXT in scot.

You can use Mail Drop to send files that exceed the maximum size allowed by the provider of your email account. Mail Drop uploads the large attachments to iCloud, where they’re encrypted and stored for up to 30 days.
If you have an iCloud account and you’re signed in to iCloud when you click Send, Mail automatically sends the attachments using Mail Drop. Mail Drop attachments don’t count against your iCloud storage.
If you don’t have an iCloud account, or if you’re not signed in, Mail asks you whether to use Mail Drop (select “Don’t ask again for this account” to always use Mail Drop).
If a recipient uses Mail in OS X Yosemite, the attachments are automatically downloaded and included in your message just like any other attachment. For other recipients, your message includes links for downloading the attachments and their expiration date.
You can turn Mail Drop on or off for an account. Choose Mail > Preferences, click Accounts, select your account, click Advanced, then select or deselect “Send large attachments with Mail Drop.” -

Its very urgent!!!!
Thanks in Advance!!!Hi!
No, there's no way to it, because Smartform is just like a piece of paper, it can't handle any objects, after it is ready.
It can be printed out/archived/sent on email as an attachment and that's all. It cannot be modified after it is completed.
