Replacing Adobe forms with Smart Forms for printing FPM based forms

Hello All,
This pertains to HCM Process and Forms with Floor Plan Manager (FPM) based forms.
SAP has provided Adobe Forms as the standard print option for FPM based forms, as can be seen in the attached screenshot.
We want to use the FPM based forms without using Adobe Document Services (ADS). I am checking the feasibility of replacing the PDF forms with Smart Forms, either through configuration or customization.
System Landscape: ECC 6.0 EhP6
Any inputs or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Irrespective of the process or scenario, we would like to use Smart Forms instead of Adobe Forms. As seen in the screenshot, SAP has provided the default option of generating a PDF form. This requires installing and using Adobe Document Services. We would like to remove this dependency on Adobe Document Services.
Instead, we would like to use Smart Forms for printing purposes.
This requirement is not tied to any specific process or scenario, but to any business process implemented using HCM Process and Forms framework.

How to user Smart form for the BID in SRM 4.0

Hello,
We have SRM 4.0 and we need to send the BID information to the vendor. This is because we have vendors that are not able to get in to our system and we have to send them a print out of the bid information so that they give us back the information. Then our users will insert it in the system.
It could be as an attach to the email or it could be printable in the program SPPS - Selecting and Processing Outputs.
SAP says that there is a smart form BBP_BIDINV_BID and BBP_BID_NOTIFICATION but I am not managing to make them work.
I found some messages to help solving specific problems so I assume it is possible to do this...
Is there someone that can help me?

Here is the standard solution to use your own forms:->
- copy the smartform BBP_BIDINV_BID to ZBBP_BIDINV_BID (transaction SMARTFORMS) and apply your changes
- use BADI to call your custom form ZBBP_BIDINV_BID
For PDF output form change use BADI BBP_OUTPUT_CHANGE_SF.
For email notification change use BADI BBP_CHANGE_SF_BID instead.

though i got SFSY structure during run time of smartform , even that was not useful.
&SFSY-FORMPAGES&
Displays the total number of pages for the currently processed form. This allows you to include texts such as'Page x of y' into your output.
for that Page &SFSY-PAGE& of &SFSY-FORMPAGES&
during debug of smart form i don't understand how it is calculating no of pages ,as i kept break point before printing page no in smart form.
please check my two screen shots, sfsy-formpage still contains current page no only but not total no of pages.
Help Required.

Hi Prakash,
You will not get these values during debugging.. Let the program execute completely, you will get the right values.
As Manish said, the value for &SFSY-FORMPAGES& will be known only after all the pages are processed, though it is not necessary that you use them in the final window only. It can be a text node in a window of any type.
You will get the desired output, just cant see them during debugging within the program. At the time of printing or in the print review, output would be as expected.
Also, FYI, it would be better to give total pages as &SFSY-FORMPAGES(3ZC)& as there can be error if the total number of pages exceeds 9, due to lack of sufficient space to print more digits

Smart form for a invoice

Dear All,
We have designed a smart form for printing of excise invoice. The invoice is in two pages. The second page printing is not aligned and starts immediately after the finish of the 1st page.
There is no buffer place between two pages.
How can we provide a buffer between two pages so as to print the 2nd page in alignment with the pre printed stationary and the first page?

It very dificult to give you guidance w/o seeing your smartform config. page format. If you are using custom page format or standard page format. Have define next page properly or not. What are line count in first page etc etc.

I want to configure the Picking list(PL) output type,a smart form for PL but there should be an output type to print*.
i have assign the out type to shipping point in t.code ovlt .i have created picking list in t.code nact. i created sales order and delivery. i have check my picking list in ovl2n change mode picking out put is available in extra-picking output. i have checked my picking out put for smart form in systems-service-output control if i execute it show like no data to list. no spool request number has generated there.
so were i have to check picking list preview for smart form . is spool request number is necessary.plz help me to view preview of picking list.or plz say the steps to configure this to preview.

Hi,
Go to Nace .The application for Goods Issues is
ME - Inventory Management -> select and click on output types ->select wa03 output type and click on processing routines here you can find the form name and the driver program name.So while printing select wa03 as the output type.

Smart form for Payment Advice

Hi Technical geeks,
I am right now doing an analysis on Payment advice Print Program. Other than Program RFFOEDI1 isn't there any way by which we can print the form for payment advice. Can't we directly print from F110 transaction.
I need to use Smart forms for printing my Payment Advice. I find only standard SAP Script available for this purpose. this is quite urgent.

My users wants Print of PR...Though i told them that PR is an internal document and SAP doesn't provide and smart forms for PR..But they are not getting convinced and they arre requesting smart form for PR...
Is there and user EXIT or BADI for this...

Hi Utsav ... most probably you need to go for a z-report development with your ABAPer, still try the following solution, if it works ...
Click print button in the view of PR (t-code: me53n). Your PR must be arranged in spool list. Use T-code SP01,and enter the Date created,Created By and you will find your pr in the list according to the exact time you click the print button, choose it. Then click print. Make sure your printer is working well.

Smart form for physical inventory doc

Is there any standard smart form for physical inventory doc? In SAP, the standard sapscript is INVENT, but this form is in sapscript, can I develop using smart forms? how to link the smart form to the print program?

The transaction MI21 prints inventory using a SAPscript through INVENT.

Please search in SAP. Go to Print control & smart forms. Press F1 by keeping cursor on that field. SAP will give the details & requirement of that field.
Application area will define under which that particular smart form can be used.
O - Maintenance Order
N - PM / QM Notifications

Hi Phani,
There is no standard for this delivered by SAP. You would have to create your own form and print program.
Sales Reports usually come out of LIS or BW. In the case of BW, tools like Business Explorer might help you.

I have it in mind for sap-script it is ITCPO-TDNEWID. Dont have it in mind for SAMRTFORMS but still it should work somehow similar.

How to use smart form for production orders

Hello Experts,
I have a couple of questions about printing out production orders from SAP, from OPK8.
My ABAPer has developed a smart form and I am trying to use the same for the list LG01, i.e. the object list.
Since, there was no place to assign a smart form directly, so the ABAPer has copied the existing print program , defined for my ref. order type and LG01 and assigned the new smart form inside the program. This new program has now been assigned against my ref. ord type, LG01 and all the plants, as seen in screenshot below.
Now, what is happening is that when I give print for my order, a pop-up screen asks for the printer. I give LOCL , check 'print now' and then click on the print preview.
I can see the new form that has been developed and it is alright.
Then, when I click on the back arrow, once again the print pop-up screen appears. Now, when I enter LOCL, print now and click the print preview, then I see another form open up before me. I am assuming that this is some form which was pre-configured in the system, under the section 'Forms', for the same object list LG01.
Do I have to assign the new smart form under the section "Forms' also, for the ref order type and LG01? or the change in the section 'print programs' is enough for the new form to kick in? Please guide me. I tried to but it gave the error that the form is not created in English. Also , my form is a smart form, not a SAPScript or PDF form, so I wonder if that will help at all.
Requirement :- I need to suppress this second form somehow but do not know how to do it. I want that only one form, i.e. my smart form should be printed out when someone gives print from the order.
Let me know if something is not clear.

Go a few steps down and remove flags on the documents you don't want to print:
this are just suggestions, they can be changed in your production order, in CO02, menu Order->Settings->List Control.
