Smart form template size problem!!!

Hi Experts,
Now I met a pronlem about smartforms template. the cell in the template is set to 16CM width(which is enough) and height is only 3.5MM.
and I define the sytle with font is 8pt.
I input the text for the template and all check is fine. but the text cannot display when i test it. even i change the style font to 6pt, 5pt, 4pt, 3pt, 2pt... the text still cannot display.
but when i change the template cell from 3.5MM to 4.5MM, it works fine and displayed the text.
it seems the min hight of temlpate cell should be 4.5MM.
doed anyone knows it? or give me some offical explanations? Thanks!

hi,
maybe you can check the lines per inch in the style. Mostly it is set to 6 lpi.
Increase to 8.
Hope it works.

Smart forms Print preview problem

I am working in CRM2007. I am creating number of different type Smart forms for our client requirement. All Smart Forms working fine in WEB GUI. In Web GUI there have two buttons; one is print buttons and another one is Print Preview buttons. When we press print buttons it is directly go to printer for printing service order or service invoice or sales order or sales invoice whatever user is selected. Means working fine print buttons. And in case when we press print preview button it is open selected forms in PDF format; it is also work fine in our desire. But problem is here PDF format front size; which is very small. And after looking the PDF format if we select for print out of this PDF form; the print out orientation is Landscape and front size is very small. Now my question to all of experts u2026u2026u2026.How I change PDF front size and orientation? u2026u2026u2026u2026u2026u2026any type of BSP Enhancement or functional setting is required? Smart form o/p problem

Hi experts,
I copied one smart form and did some modifications in that form and this form
included in the same program.The form is syntacically correct and it is activated.
When execute the program the o/p is not displaying.There are no errors in the program or in form.
What is the problem.

Debug the driver program and put brk point on ssf_function_module _name and give the new smartform name when it comes to this point,so it will take this form and generate the output.

Smart form Template

Hi Experts,
By mistake i have done the changes in Quality and saved and activated, then only i came to know changes are made in Quality. Then I have done the changes in Development, and moved tr to Quality.
In development Template size is correct and fits in Window and i can see the preview properly.
But in Quality it is giving error, Template is not fitting in window, then i checked the Template, It is different from Dev.
Now i tried to go to change mode in Quality, but it is not allowing. How it was allowed earlier iam not getting idea.
Can any one help me, how i can resolve my problem.

Hi,
Are you you have moved the DEV version to QUAL while the smartform was just activated.
Activate the smartform and transport it again.
If you transported an only saved version then it becomes not active in destination system.

Hello,
If you want to copy and paste the template of one smart form to another smart form, i don't think it is possible.
You will have to re-create the template in the smart form. it's a few minutes job. Just take the template as reference and create it in the smart form.

Smart Form Language Print Problem

Hi ,
i want to ask that in PO smart form if i am taking print preview. then vendor & Shipping Address are not coming in print preview...another fields are coming like tele & Fax No these are store in numeric value but these name1 and street store in taiwan Lang..
then data fetch from ARDC table but ARDC-name1 and ADRC-street store data in taiwan lang..so these two fields data is not displaying in taiwan lang during print preview but some other format is displaying like squrae shape.....
so plz send me solution...ASAP...

Hi,
Pick up the Address using user log on language instead of adrc-spras Or the language which user wants to display on the form.
Alternatively u can also code the driver program in such a way so that, if the the sy-langu is EN pick the address in EN or pick the address in Taiwan language.
ADRC-Nation is set in such case.
Another solution is the master data for the vendor has to be first maintained in English and then international versions have to be maintained in various languages.

Smart form page protection problem

Hello gurus,
I am having two line types for the header. To make them page protected, i have created a folder and put them into the folder and activated page protection check box.
But the problem it is printing awkwardly, line types are printing in the bottom of the page, whenever page break is happening.
if i remove page protection check box, it is printing nicely.
Kindly let me know how to rectify this.

Actually, within the Main part of table node, grouping several rows under page-break protected folder works just fine... It is just that when one starts putting the page-break protected folders in Header part the things go awry. I don't believe the fix for that will be easy at all.
But since your HEADER_TABLE1 does not really need a header part to achieve same layout, I'd try as follows:
1) create page-break protected folder under Main part of HEADER_TABLE1; add an empty column of required width for %ROW2 and drag it under folder; create a new row type to hold %TEXT9 (just one column for the whole table width and no borders) and insert it before %ROW2; disable Header and Footer part for the table; re-position the table so its aligned to data table;
2) group the SAFETY_ITEM_ROW1 and MPO_DATA_ROW1 under page-break protected folder...
Then, is there actually a reason the HEADER_TABLE1 is split off in a separate sort event? If it could go into DATA_TABLE1 main part, all elements could be protected together. Even if there is reason, you still should be able to move the contents of HEADER_TABLE1 to DATA_TABLE1, and control their output using flag set via code nodes in DOKNR_TOP event and footer of DATA_TABLE and reset each time header rows have been output.
True, you'd have to add that empty column to the table. But that inconvenience pales in comparison to having to extricate the remaining height of Main window out of Composer innards via implicit enhancement, and the pain of having to calculate output height of dynamic layout elements in form itself and doing explicit page-breaks.
Just make sure to disable all (unnecessary) table headers and footers.
Attached form illustrates protecting the header table and Data table separately, and I've been unable to break the layout no matter what I tried . Or did you try the folders in the Main part and did not succeed?

Merge cells between 2 rows in a smart form(template)

Hi ,
I need to merge two cells between 2 rows of a template.
Like the first cell is a big one 10cm height and has two adjacent 5cm cells beside it.
Can anyone tell me if this is possible.And if Yes ,How?
Merging cells between columns work,but i am not able to do it betweeen two rows.
I had some Options that i treid and ruled out are
Since it is flowing data i cant use multiple windows and so the template needs to be in my mainwindow.
I cant use multiple main windows also .
This merging doesnt work in table also.

Well I dont know if i am not clear in my question.
Let me articulate.
It not the conditional display of rows taht i want to acheive.
Its merging cells between two rows.
Like say first a cell of height 10 cm shoudl filled with text (say 'AB')spanning full 10 cm.
And then adjacent to this 10cm cell , there shoud be two cells of say 5cm one below each other
with say 'A' on the top cell and 'B' on the bottom cell.
So you have one big 'AB' (10cm cell) and then beside this you have ' A' and 'B' one below each other.
Like shown below the Bold 'AB' spans 10 cm from top to bottom ,beside this AB is A in the top 5cm cell and
B in the bottom 5 cm cell.

How to creat 2nd page in smart forms

hi
in smart forms iam facing problem i'e if i gave 10 material's it was comming fine if i give 30 materials it was going to 2nd page in that again from starting it was comming like Header delivery adress.
what i want is if materials increase than main window should increase size & rest of thing(footer )should comes in 2nd window

Hi,
For the header details not to print on the second page:
-> Go to Conditions tab of the window in which u r printing Header delivery address and check the condition 'Only on first Page'
This will solve ur problem.

How to assign standard texts assign dynamically to smart forms

Dear Experts
I need your help in adjusting the smart form texts dynamically. I will explain you the situation please revert me your valuable answers.
1. I am integrating 12 smart forms using same program.
2. Out of 12 smart forms 4 forms are having similar kind of template. Client is requesting like create one smart form template.
3. By creating the standard texts you can assign the standard texts into smart form during runtime dynamically.
4. Maintain all standard texts for smart forms in another custom table, during run time of the program you can assign the standard texts to smart form.
5. Here my question is how to assign the standard texts to template texts dynamically ?
Please revert me your suggessions.

You are maintaining all the standard texts in custom table right, u need to get standard text based on condition which works for your smartform
than create text module in smartforms and change that to include text and give the variable name or internal tbale with field name in that text name fields and press (>) button and give the remaining fields in that than that will work dynamically

Problem in converting smart form into PDF

HI Experts,
                  I am using a Function Module CONVERT_OTF for converting smart form into pdf file for send it to with attachment.
But i got a error when i am using that FM.
Runtime Errors         CONVT_NO_NUMBER
unable to interpret *292 as a no.
Is that because my file size too large about 13 pages of PDF?
and when i run it for other smart forms which have 2 or 3 pages of PDF, its working perfectly.
can anyone tell what is problem with that FM?

Hi,
I had the similar issue and after analysis I have that this is the issue by not passing the IMPORTING parameter of the Function Module "BIN_FILESIZE". Please try to pass some variable to this paramter and then this will be completely rectified.

A strange problem in smart form?

Hi,
   I met a strange problem in my smart form. When I click "Check" button in each window of each page, system said "Window (my window name) does not fit onto page(height)". Even I create a new page and a new window in it, it still said this error when I click "Check" button in the new window.
   I have tried to enlarge or reduce the window's size, but this error still occured. But I can activate the form correctly. And there is a syntax error in the generated program:
   FORM %EV2.
    LOOP AT INTO .
    CALL FUNCTION 'SSFCOMP_TABLE_ROW_BEGIN'
    EXPORTING I_LINE_TYPE = 'LINE2'
You can see there's an error in loop statement.
Could you tell me the reason and how to solve it?

as you have maneioned in your error you have said that you have created your own window,but the check box as you mentioned which check box that it it is output options tab check box or in the condition tab check box.
in the general attribute select the secondary window from the dropdown box and output options tab select the page size as you need .

Problem in designing tag in smart forms

HI gurs,
       i want to design tag for pp module with some fields like
profile no, order qty, sales order no, cut length etc.
i want to take print that tag with data.
for that i need to design in module pool or smart form or both.
In my knowledge,
i design tag in smart form,
write print program in se38,
then throw call function SSF_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME
i called that form in program.
but if i called fm_name through pattern
1) i got error Function FM_NAME not found
2) in smart form ,
      form interface->import
        i declared itab type plaf
     window->template-> loop->
    i declared
           itab into itab
but error is
itab is neither specified under tables nor is it defined as an internal table
any one correct me.
