Smart List issue ; Classic Hyperion Planning v11.1.2.1
All,
I am currently working on classic planning v11.1.2.1 (don't ask why).
We have created a couple of smart lists, which we're using with a level 0 member.
THe smart lists do not appear on the cells in the forms.
I encountered similar issues with another planning applications metadata managed using EPMA.
I tweaked the evaluation order of the dimensions, and refreshed the app, after which the Smart list started working.
But when I did the same with this cube, it does not work, there are 3 planning cubes and I changed the evaluation order on one of the cubes to which the form is connecting to.
The properties of the member are as below:
Data Storage : Never Share
Plan Type : Capital (+)
Data Type : SmartList
We are not using any of the pre-built Planning modules.
Can anyone tell me what the issue may be?
Thanks,
ANindyoHi
This problem is linked to you not having a consistent setting for your date input type.
So, go to application administration and set the date format to MM/DD/YYYY in application settings and display options, under current application defaults. Then after you have done this as a user go to User Preferences and display options and on the date format select the same. Or remove the Automatically detect.
I have seen this behaviour if you have Automatically Detect on the user preferences
Thanks

Hi all,
I want to know how to create smart list and use it . I got the content of how to create but I am not able to use them. I want to use to one of my account member . can some one help me pls
CharanHi Charan,
1. After you had created smart list .
2. Goto the member of accounts dimensions , click ' edit' .
3. Now, go to the option of 'data type' , here select 'smart list'as an option.
4. After you have selected , you can select the created 'smart list' which is above 'data type'.
5. Now, you can see the smart list in the data form(which has the account member)

Web form doesn't allow text entries and showing smart lists
Hi,
I am using Hyp 11.1.2 and facing 2 issues with webforms .
One of them is a cell under Account dimension should accept Text Value , which is allowing numeric only. I am able to enter text but not getting saved , showing an error msg that invalid entry..etc. Also I found everymember in outline is numeric. Even if I refreshed the Text type member with data type Text , it is still showing numeric in Outline.
Second one is even If defined a smart list on another member under Account, the cell is not showing it.
Is it relevant setting Evaluation Order or any thing else?
suggestions appreciated
Thanks in advanceThe Text member like Smart List will be based on the evaluation order which for Classic is set by carrying out the following - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/planning_admin_11122300/enum_dim.html for EPMA - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/epma_admin/epma_data_type_eval.html
Checking the Essbase outline is not an option because the text information is all stored in the planning relational repository (table HSP_TEXT_CELL_VALUE) and the numerical value associated with it is stored in essbase.
Cheers
John

Hyperion Workforce Smart list not working correctly
We are customizing the Employee Type Smart list and added few more enties to it. But in the Web form when tried to select an entry its is showing the Label values and not the Name for newly added entries but the original options are working correctly. e.g.
Name Value
Regular LABEL_REGULAR
Contractor LABEL_CONTRACTOR
Temporary LABEL_TEMPORARY
Board LABEL_BOARD
EBA LABEL_EBA..
now in the form drop down I get values as below,
Regular
Contractor
Temporary
LABEL_BOARD
LABEL_EBA
Not sure why its working wierd for new entries. Version is 11.2.2Are smartlists assigned to members?

I have tried but it gives error during import stage. Any help will be highly appreciated.

ARD 3.6.1 will always beach ball until I force quit if I have a smart group or list created. It will launch fine if there hasn't been any type of List, Group, Scanner, or Smart List set. If I create one, it works fine until I relaunch the app. With no lists, I can relaunch fine. With a list, next relaunch beach balls. I can remedy the issue by trashing the user pref for ARD. But once I recreate a list...beach ball on relaunch.

0x7fff94210fff com.apple.It is common for ARD prefs to get corrupted. I have to convert mine to XML and edit them in BBedit regularly (I don't want to just trash them or I lose all my saved machines.) It's widely accepted that ARD has been basically abandoned by Apple (updated to keep running, but no bug fixes or new features) so we're going to have to live with this. Keep backups of your prefs!

Urgent: Problem opening a data form that uses a smart list
Hi, we've got a problem with a data form that is quite unusual.
The data form was working perfectly until yesterday when we put a smart list in it. The smart list is composed of 8 possible choices activated by the following member formula:
IF (SML==1)
((BDG->BegBalance->&CurrYear)/12);
ELSEIF (SML==2)
((INC_BDG->BegBalance)*("01A2"->ACT_FINAL));
ELSEIF (SML==3)
ACT_FINAL->&PreYear;
ELSEIF (SML==4)
(INC_ACT->&PreYear)*("01A2"->ACT_FINAL);
ELSEIF (SML==5)
ACT_FINAL;
ELSEIF (SML==7)
(INP_PER)*("01A2"->ACT_FINAL);
ELSEIF (SML==8)
INP_ASS;
endif;
Initially we tested the functioning of every different choice in the smart list and it was working properly. After a while we tried again to change the choices combination and we couldn't open the data form due to an error.
It is quite strange because sometimes it work and sometimes it doesn't. In the data form (that is very large) there are many accounts and scenarios that are dynamic calc, in addition to the smart list formula; we tried to open the form two minutes ago converting the data storage type of a scenario from "Dynamic calc" into "Dynamic calc and Store", and it seems to work at the moment... does planning have a memory limit? Can someone suggest a solution (or help us find out the reason)?
ByeAnton,
new thread is one possibility, but the messsage box is not win message box, but SAP form, so I think you can clcik there without new thread too.
Check this thread, hope it helps

List of issues with DM6.0
Here's my list of issues with Desktop Manager 6 that I would like to see addressed.
1) No minimize to system tray. This isn't a huge deal but I'd like to see it return.
2) Halt incoming e-mail to device when connected. This needs to come back. I don't need my Blackberry buzzing on my desk every two minutes when I'm sitting in front of my e-mail client.
3) Folder sync selection. My mail server has rules that automatically sort incoming e-mails into different folders. I'm pretty sure practically everybody in an enterprise e-mail environment does this. In previous versions of DM, there was an option to choose which folders to sync. This is now gone, although I believe because these settings end up stored on the BES server my settings have remained for now. Moving forward, I can't change any of them without talking to our BES administrator.
4) Automatic backup is broken. I've set DM to automatically backup my device "Weekly" when it is connected. What actually happens is every time I connect my blackberry it gets backed up - this can happen multiple times in one day. Pretty useless.
5) Mass storage mode settings on blackberry are bypassed. I have my bb set to prompt whether I want to enable mass storage mode when I connect it. Now, when I connect my bb it immediately enters mass storage mode without a prompt on the device or on the desktop. I have this configured because if you use any kind of custom ringtone, even if it is stored on the internal memory and not on the media card, as soon as mass storage mode is enabled the bb cannot access the files internally and ringtones default back to a standard generic one. I can no longer wander away from my desk and hear my phone ringing and identify that it is my phone.
That's my current (growing) list of issues. I will update with more, if anyone wants to confirm these issues or add others I will add to the list as well.you need to add media administration is non existent without Roxio Media Manager. You can no longer pick and choose which files to exchange. Synching is the only option.
Also, if media files are encrypted, DM 6 cannot read them. This was dealt with in Roxio Manager by simply inputing the encryption password... -

I’m really disappointed in nokia..!! L I’m a nokia user for the last 12 years; I purchased and used more then 22 different models .. Never changed to any other phones. and was always proud of using it…will not any more.
In addition of to the bad built material and being really slow ‘Nokia can’t build a better processors..!!!’ I couldn’t use neither chat or email.
Email is not working at all; I added two emails one ovi and one hotmail… I can’t remove them…!!! I tried every thing even Nokia configuration tool.
Configuring the chat open new window and then do nothing.
I was late for work for two days because of this phone..!!! I setup multiple alarm, it alarmed once then the phone hanged and started flashing…!!! When I woke up two hours later I had to restart the phone; and then it started running the alarms..????
Space stop functioning many time….
PC suite lose connection to the phone after performing any function “USB connection”.
Nokia configuration tool do not import any thing it just hangs for 10-20 minutes and then lose connection (Import synchronization status was DM_UNKNOWN in syncID 1).
The USB charging feature is nice, but it shouldn’t alert me always about the better being full…????
Iv done a restore factory setting (hoping that the configured email will be removed).. nothing was removed neither the contact images or emails…
The phone in general is really..really slow…!!!
Other issues that I cant’ remember…!!!????
In addition to all of that I can’t take the phone back even for replacement ‘I’m from qatar’ and the agent’s are really bad. For sure this is my last nokia unless the issue was fixed in 2 weeks.The biggest problem about this phone is about the high pitch sounds.
When the screen and the keyboard light up, some high pitch sound is emitted. For most of people, that's not annoying, but for some, it gives headaches. Two persons sayd that they hear that sound.
Personally, i can't use it, so for this matter, i need to sell it. In Romania Vodafone is not accepting your phone back even in 12 hours.
I tryed different phones from Nokia, the last ones have the same issues. N97 and N97 mini are terrible. It's impossible to use those phones.
For this reason, Nokia you receive a small grade, it's unacceptable to cut back prices just for bigger earnings. -
Anyone have list of issues fixed in 8.01? thanx...
Hi all (happy holidays)
Anyone have list of issues fixed in 8.01?
thanx...
ps: I'm on a G5 and was hoping that 8.01 runs noticeably better now....

Message was edited by: S v KI'm one of the people that traditionally doesn't experience too many issues with Logic that affect me. However, 8.0.0 and 8.0.1 have many issues that directly affect me, including many MCU handling bugs, screenset handling bugs and quite a few others besides.
Maybe, like with Logic 7, we'll get to a paid update for 8.1 that finally becomes workable... until then, well, hang on to the sides, it may well get bumpy..! -
List of issues with patch level
Is there a list of application errors reported for each patch level?
When working with SAP R/3, there is a SAP note released for each patch level which states the changes delivered in that patch as well as what fixes are delivered. Therefore, it is easy to see what application errors exist in each patch level. Is there something similar for SAP Business One?There are also notes for those Lists of issues with each patch level for B1. What is your B1 version and PL?
Thanks,

List of issues under investigation by Tech Support
I would like to be able to see somewhere the list of issues which have been accepted by Tech Support as problems and are under investigation for correction in future releases.
Despite all care taken to stay as long as I could in LR 1.2, which after few bypasses worked fine for me, I migrated to 1.3.1 and discovered I had missed a couple of problems (Quick Develop Reset no longer works in 1.3/1.3.1, nor does flag as rejected with filter set to Pick and unflagged only).
Reading the posts made by users having the problem, I am unable to find out if Tech Support are aware of this, nor if they have accepted the problems described as issues to be fixed.I am sure ADobe knows of the Reset Problem. Time will tell if it gets fixed with the next Version release.
I don't know about the other Pick/Reject issue.
No Adobe does not do a list of known issues displayed for Users to see.
