Smart Watch 2 and LG L9 P760

Hi,
Two weeks ago I bought the Sony SmartWatch 2 and paired with my LG Optimus L9 P760 phone.
Everything worked just fine until 4th of December 2013 when a new update was released for the sw2.
I cannot seem to complete the update installation from my LG L9 P760...the installation process starts, but never ends.
I used another device to complete the installation process and it worked, but then the sw2 would not communicate with my phone properly, meaning that the apps are brought to my sw2, but I cannot get access to any of them (when I press on any app on my sw2 the status bar is displayed on sw2 for a while and then it disappears, but nothing happens...the app does not open).
I also used Sony Update Utility Tool to get the last firmware for sw2 and also uninstalled and reinstalled Smart Connect and SmartWatch 2 apps several times with no success.
I connected my sw2 with Xperia Z, Samsuns SII and HTC phones and it worked just fine....which makes me think that the watch is fine and the problem is support related between sw2 and L9-P760.
Any hints would be highly appreciated.

    No. Smart TVs can't use AFP to connect to the TC. Although, it might help to know what your smart TV actually is (i.e. model number? Make?)

    Try on your phone > smartconnect > smartwatch 2 > settings > unpair then hold in power on your watch to force it to switch off then try restarting your watch

  • My smart watch just works when it's connected to the charger

    Hi, I bought my smart watch just 2 months ago, and left it in my car charging.. well, the next day when I saw that the battery was fully charged, disconnected the watch and puted it on the armband it doesn't turned on anymore, no vibrations, no display, nothing. But when I connect it to the cable, the displays turns on and shows that the battery is fully charged, and the watch also turns on and is able to connect to my Xperia Z, but only when it's connected.. When the charger looses contact with the watch everything is over.
    Can anybody help me?

    If your watch is only 2 months old then it should still have warranty so if the above fails then I'd seek redress through your warranty via the place of purchase.

  • Smart Watch 2 Won't update

    So I got my Sony Smart Watch 2 today, got it connected to my phone via Bluetooth, installed SmartConnect and Smartwatch2 SW2 and now it keeps saying an update is availiable, but when it goes to update both my phone and the watch show no progress on the download, and its been this way for hours. Thoughts?

  • Smart watch date problem?

    Hello,
    I've just received a Smart Watch. I noticed that when the smart watch is not connected to the phone (phone is off or out of range) the watch updates the time but not the date. For example if I turn off the phone at night, the following morning on the watch I have the correct time, but the wrong date of previous day (until I connect it to the phone and it gets updated).
    I think that's a bug... or not?

    I know that the watch will lose this data if the not connected so I would say that it's according to how it works.

  • Ideal functionalities of Smart Watch 2

    This version has a big improvement from last one that I took up for a quick look and gave up immediately - very toy-like device.  As compared with Samsung Gear, it loses in terms of quality and functionality.  However, Samsung Gear has lots of functionalities repeated on the smartphone but less quality and inconvenience.  Both watches have too short battery life for each charge and must be solved as soon as possible, otherwise, it will lose the interest from the users.  Sony must listen the user experience and update the functionality and quality promptly, otherwise it will damage the future of this device.  As a user, I need a device to help my life easier, not complicated - no need a fancy process but simple and clear interface.  Below are some suggestion for Sony's consideration.
    1.  Time and date - basic watch piece function - the existing analog one is quite acceptable for lots of users but still have room for improvement.
    2.  Focus on notifications (core feature of smart watch) of incoming calls, appointments in calendar, SMS, whatsapp messages, Skype calls, LINE messages, Vibre calls. emails.  Repeat the alerts a couple of times (user defined)
    3.  Long battery life (3 months or wireless charging or solar panel charging)
    4.  Calendar
    5.  Smart phone tracker (to avoid leaving your phone behind)
    6.  Stop watch
    7.  Speedometer
    8.  Altimeter
    9.  Weather report
    10. Traffic report
    I believe technologywise is no problem at all and it would be a useful companion with smartphone for most of people.

    Phone tracker is already available but it's called "Find my phone" or if you move out of bluetooth distance your watch will vibrate to alert you

  • Smart Watch does not connect to phone

    A few days ago I received the Smart Watch recently ordered. I installed Smart Connect on my phone, switched on Bluetooth, launched Smart Connect, turned on the freshly charged watch. And nothing. The watch and phone do not see each other and cannot be paired.
    The info follows:
    Phone - Kyocera Rise
    OS - Andriod 4.0.4
    Smart Connect - version 5.0.12
    The Smart Watch is newly purchased but reconditioned.
    Any advice as to how I can get these devices talking? If not, I will request a return and refund from Sony.

  • Smart Watch 2 backlight

    Hi,
       I'm really enjoying my new Sony Smart Watch 2.  It pairs nicely with the Sony Z Ultra phone I have, and it worked well until last night when I charged the watch using a computer USB port.  The watch switched itself off and remained off for several hours after it was unplugged.  Now when you push the power button on the side, the watch backlights blinks once and stays off.
       I've tried reseting the watch (from the watch settings and tapping the nfc on the back of the phone), reinstalling the latest firmware from sony update, and pairing the watch again on the phone.  None of these seemed to have changed the backlight "blink".  Changing the display birghtness from the watch settings has no effect.
      Is there a fix for this or will I have to send the watch back to Sony for repairs?

    Try charging your SW2 via wall socket for some time and check if you're able to boot it properly.

  • SMART watch 2 only charge to 99 %

    i have had my Smart Watch 2  for about 2 or 3 weeks now and i cannot get it tocharge any better than 99%.  I have tryed my computer usb and also my wall charger  for my Z1.
    None will charge it an ybetter than 99%
    IS MY WATCH FAULTY  ?  OR IS THERE SOMETHING I AM MISSING ???

    If you switch of your watch and charge it that way it gives you a percentage of charge in numbers - But if switched on and charging it does not give percentage in numbers

  • Smart Watch 3 frequently disconnects from Xperia Z2 smartphone

    Hello everyone,
    I have s Sony Smart Watch 3 connected with a Sony Xperia Z2 smartphone. It seems that 50% of the times I need to use it, my watch shows that it's "disconnected" (little cloud icon with a bar over it), and can't get the results I'm looking for. My phone is never more than 0,5 feet away from me.
    At first, I suspected this was due to the Stamina power saving mode on my smartphone that cut the Bluetooth / NFC connection while the phone was locked. Hence, I turned all power saving features off, but still get the same issue.
    I've tried rebooting both devices, unpairing them and pairing them again from scratch, to no avail.
    Can anyone help me solve this ? My watch would be useless if I can't get it to work reliably.

    My initial thoughts were Stamina mode as I had this issue but since disabling it I haven't had an issue unless I move out of range, so I'm at a loss apart from taking drastic measures like doing a full factory reset of both the watch and phone and if the issue still remains then either returning your device to the place of purchase or contact Xperia care http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/
