The sony smartband is compatible with XperiaZ? in the compatibility list Xperia Z is not mentioned but the specifications seems fit the Z.

Smartband and sleep as an droid

I'd like to see integrtaion with myfitnesspal.com and similar sites. They already support over 50 apps and fitness trackers, I'd like to see the SWR10 get added to that list. I've heard (but not confitmed) that they (myfitnesspal) do the intergration, they just need the web API to get to the step and related data.

Smartband and Lifelog does not detect jogging

Hello,
Smartband and Lifelog does not detect jogging (does not distinguish walking and jogging/running).
For example - walking with speed 5.7Km/h and treadmill running with speed 9-10 km/h.
Smartband worn on left hand.

As I understand, lifelog log your exercise as running if the pace is 2.5 steps/ second or above.
What are your thoughts about this forum? Let us know by doing this short survey.

Smartband talk and xperia tablet z2 are not compatible

Got my Smartband Talk Friday and realized quickly that swm30 and tablet Z2 don't work together. The needed app is not compatible with Z2 tablet. Any ideas how to overcome this? BR /Per

Lifelog is no problem (I already use smartband swm10 together w my Z2 tablet) . But when I am to install smartband talk, it takes me to Play store and ask me to install the app smartband talk. That app is not compatible to my device, according to Play,,,, but my device is Sony xperia Z2 tablet and I don't see why it shouldn't work,,, graphics?

Smartband and Google+ notifications

Hi There,
just received my Z2 with bundled smartband yesterday - loving it so far!
I only wonder if notifications for google+ will be added to the apps list, as this would make the smartband my perfect companion.

I just realised that you can tap into notification and get more settings.
By the way, Google + is there in the list:

Smartband and iPhone :(

Dear all, I had to gave up my Xperia to iPhone (company replacement) but I really do like smartband as it is.
Is there a way to pair and use it with iOS? is there any app supporting features/downloading activities? Is sony planning to introduce iOS app?

Smartband and lifelog issue

Is smartband supposed to log your driving? If so, at least the one i have does not transmit anything about my driving to lifelog... I read from somewhere that its supposed to do so... Help pls...

SmartBand and SmartWatch intergration

Not really a support question but a suggestion.
It would be great if Sony can build an app for the SmartWatch which can display information collected from the SmartBand... I mean, both products are made by Sony .... the integration should be quite seamless.
This was the watch can act as the "display" for the SmartBand. Food for thought.

I am really wanting a Sony smartband...however cannot find anything on its availability. I know they said March, but has anyone seen any further information on this, or when the app will be available?

Smartband and lifelog accuracy

Hi,
I've been using smartband with the lifelog app for a couple of weeks now and i've also made some comparison with my Garmin Vivofit.
Some issues that i've noticed:
1. Smartband constantly record 10-15% less steps than the Vivofit per day.
2. Smartband is not recording my walking time. it will track the steps that i take but do not record it in terms of walking time. e.g. as of writing this post, i've clock about 1449 steps, but the walking time that is recorded is only 3mins, which equates to 108m based on the app. Running time at this point is at 0mins and 0 distance. i didn't jog today so i don't think it is possible to clock about 1449steps in 3mins. And given a stride length of 67cm, with 1449 steps i should be recording around 970m rather than 108m. hence there is definitely something wrong here.
is there a bug in the smartband or lifelog app such that it is not tracking correctly? because the difference is too inconsistent.
i've reset the smartband a numbers of times to try to resolve this but it is still not working. i've also tried to close the lifelog app or shut down the phone hoping that it will help to fix this problem but it is not working.
please advise on how to fix this.
secondly, i'm also having issues with the NFC connection. when i try to connect via NFC it will give many reading error messages before successfully connecting or syncing the data. it will also prompt that a new tag is collected and "the tag is empty, to use it download an NFC writer application."
really not sure what this means and how it should be fixed.

I don't really have connection issues with the smartband to the phone. I usually disconnect it and only sync it at the end of the day to track my movements. My issues is with the tracking accuracy compared to others fitness tracker. It is sometimes even 30% lower than other devices in steps count and walking time doesn't get recorded properly. Hence was wondering if it is connected the whole time would it improve accuracy which I tried for 1 day but didn't seem to help.
Also noticed that if you are linked the whole time to the phone it will affect the phone data connection. WhatsApp or Line messages will be sent in a delayed fashion, taking longer time to send.
Really not sure what else to do about it since I've tried resetting it a few times.

Facebook with Albums and Xperia

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me. I bought a Xperia Z1 Compact yesterday so today in the progress of setting it all up. I have been an iPhone user for 4 years so many of the features are new to me!
1) I notice in the Albums App from Sony you can connect via facebook and get photos from there? When I click this function a box appears saying connect. I click connect. Then a box appears for permission for Xperia to access my facebook contacts, photos etc etc and I click ok. This box disappears and nothing happens! It goes back to the original connect screen. And I go in circles when I keep clicking connect.
2) In my settings in my accounts, I have facebook. I notice there is also an option for Xperia with facebook. I have removed my facebook from the accounts and added Xperia with Facebook. When I do this the account asks me to sign in etc and when I do the icon that appears is a regular facebook icon and not the Xperia with Facebook icon. (I actually tried this to fix problem 1 and then realised it wasn't doing it this way either). My facebook account when it appears in the list will only let me sync my contacts there are no options for photos or calendars or anything else.
I have tried deleting the accounts turning then phone off and again then re-adding it. I have tried going into my actual facebook account and checking the settings there (as far as I can tell it should all sync up). I only got the phone yesterday so surely it doesn't need re-boot to factory settings or anything?
Please help if you can.

WX-GT99BT and Xperia Z1

Hi,
I seem to have an issue when connecting my Xperia Z1 with my Sony WX-GT99BT car audio player. Whenever it gets connected, on my Xperia Z1, it pops up with a "Open With" option. I do not know what is the purpose of this and the number of possible apps/services shown to open with is a lot and i have tried with almost everything and nothing works. Even randomly selecting something and setting it to always, it will still appear again when i connect the phone with the player again.
I have had connected my car player with my previous Xperia Z and did not have such an issue before. And this issue appeared on two Z1 mobile phones which i have. My phone is on complete stock. No modifications. Running on latest firmware. Any one with any clue about this? Any sort of help would be really appreciated.
FYI, no issues with any other bluetooth device such as my SW2 or Samsung Audio Dock. Only issue is with my car player.

Haven't heard of this before but it sounds like the car player is sending some sort of command to the phone that can be handled by more then one app. The phone will then ask which app you want to use for that command.

Are Sony STM10 microphone compatible with Xperia Z3 Compact? BRMichael

Even though Sony has been extremely vague and uninformative regarding product conformity and publishing (ANY) information regarding this product, I can assert that the STM10 does in fact work with my Xperia z3 Compact. I am still reviewing this microphone and will continue to post into this relevant thread so that other customers do not experience a profound lack of consumer information as I did. Pros1. 5pin provides advanced functionality, which appears to facilitate native interaction with the Z3C phone2. Very nice performing microphone for the price, no really.... verified with low volume operation, very high quality recordings. Note *at this point, Hight SPL operation (IE: Loud Concert Situations) remain untested.3. its possible to point the microphone in the direction of the 2megapixel camera but some angles may enter the frame (this is an acceptable and unavoidable compromise in my view) Cons*Stay Tuned... Changed phone from an Iphone to and Xperia Z1 and can't receive Iphone messages?

Hello I have just transferred from an Iphone to an Xperia Z1 but can't receive any text messages from my Iphone using friends - what do I need to do?

You do not need to ask your friends to do anything, you just need to do one thing and everything will be fine. On your iphone go to Settings>Messages and turn off iMessege and leave your iphone on for about 10 minutes just to make sure the apple servers are updated with your request and then shut your iphone off and voila!! That's pretty much it, now all your friends will be able to message you directly through normal SMS and you don't need to ask them to do anything
