Smartband SWR10 thinks I am cycling when I'm walking

I am a new Smartband owner and am very happy with it overall. However on 3 different occasions it has logged a walk as a cycle. Can anyone help?

Smartband swr10 has stopped logging cycling

Hi. I've had my swr10 smartband for approx 3 weeks, got it at the same time as my Xperia z2. Having a lot of problems with the z2 which probably aren't relevant here but the smartband was working fine until a few days ago. I cycle every day and until 3 days ago it was accurately recording time spent cycling. But now it has stopped recording this altogether and is recording zero minutes of cycling. Also the tap to use apps (eg media player or camera) has stopped working, sometimes I have to tap about 20 times before it will respond.
Additionally it has a few times recorded a few minutes of transportation in the middle of the day when I am usually sitting quietly at my desk reading papers or checking emails. Why is this?
This was an expensive toy for it to break so quickly! I have tried disconnecting, reconnecting, restarting the phone, reinstalling life log. I can confirm that WiFi, Bluetooth, data and nfc are always activated.
Can anyone help please?

I find that cycling is intermittently logged - yesterday i did 23 miles and it was all logged as transport - was a leisure cycle so average only around 10 miles an hour. Longer trip the previous evening when I did go fater than 20mph for bits was logged as some cycling and some transport.
Would like to be able to set the transport mode via Lifelog - or link to another app such as Endomondo so that sport is more accurately logged.

Smartband SWR10 not starting

Hello there.
My Smartband SWR10 is not starting(?). It's fully charged but yet I am unable to get it to start, and thus unable to pair it with my device (Xperia Z2).
I've tried to reset the SWR10 using the guide* below, but that's not working either, I can't get the notification light to flash.
So I am pretty much starting to think that my SWR10 is defect. May that be the case or is there something else I can try to do?

Smartband SWR10 doesn't appear in Lenovo S850

Hi!I have got a Sony Smartband SWR10 for my birthday recently and I have a Lenovo S850 phone.The phone has Android 4.4.2 and Bluetooth 4.0 (Not sure if it has BLE as well).I have downloaded all three apps needed (SmartConnect, LifeLog, Smartband) from Google Play.My problem is that when I pair my smartband with the phone, after pairing, the smartband doesn't appear in notification area, neither in the Smartconnect app under devices.What should I do about this?Thanks in advance!

There should not be any trick to it. After downloading Smart Connect and the SWR10 app, pair them using NFC or manually search for bluetooth devices from the phone and add the SWR10 as a device.
What you can try is to update the phones firmware if you haven't already, try starting Smart Connect before you do the pairing and try both NFC-paring and manual pairing. HT1212 I am unable to get our of a continuous cycle when trying to update or restore my iPad 2. Plug in to iTunes 12.0.1 (latest version). Click update, told can't update, have to restore. Restore fails with error 9. Any help appreciated.

Here's the cycle:

Notes: I just upgraded to OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 on my iMac (27-inch, Mid 2011) in the last week. It’s the first time I’m tried to backup/update my iPad since the iMac update.
I swapped out the USB cable to a new cable and get the same results.
I also unplugged all other USB devices from the iMac and security on my iPad and still get the same results.
I find it strange that it shows no Serial number for my my iPad 2 when plugged in. It shows “Serial Number: n/a on the screen when it displays: “iPad Recovery Mode To update your iPad without erasing its contents, click Update. To restore your iPad to its factory settings, click Restore iPad.
I prefer to update my iPad, but it displays “Your iPad can’t be updated, you must restore it to factory settings. If you previously backed up the iPad, click Restore Backup after the restore process completes.”
It’s a continuous loop. I get the display on my iPad to plug in the iPad to iTunes, plug it in which ends after going through the above procedure saying an error occurred (9).
So now I cannot use my iPad. When I turn it on I get the display showing me to plug it into iTunes with the cable. Since this is the only option I have I plug it in and the loop begins.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks for the question. After reviewing your post, it sounds like you are not able to restore the iOS device since you get an error 9. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.

Check your security software
Related errors: 2, 4, 6, 9, 1000, 1611, 9006. Sometimes security software can prevent your device from communicating with either the Apple update server or with your device.
Check your security software and settings to make sure that they aren't preventing a connection to the Apple servers.

If you didn't save the document it would not be on your hard drive and therefore not copied via Time Machine.

Color Laserjet 2605dn power cycles when receiving a print job

Very recently my Laserjet 2605dn color printer has been power cycling when it receives a print job. At first it was when it received large pdf files. But now it does it more often. I download and reinstalled the HP Linux Imaging and Printing System (ver. 3.15.4) and the printer now resets everytime I try to do a network discovery for the device.
Does anyone have any thoughts as to what board might be at fault ? Has anyone hear do fthis issue ?

There are a couple of reasons that could be happening. It could have something to do with the connection, or perhaps the program you're printing from. Try to go to the link I'm including below and follow the steps there, and hopefully this will help you resolve your issue.

ITunes eating CPU cycles when idle?

I'm using the latest version of everything (OS X 10.4.10 & iTunes 7.4.2). On my Dual 2.5GHz G5 tower, iTunes seems to gobble up a lot of processor cycles when it's just sitting there doing nothing. In activity monitor, iTunes routinely is eating up 10-15% of cycles when it's just sitting there, not playing. That seems like a lot of activity for an idle app. Is this a bug?

I found that if you close the itunes window (not hide or minimize it) and use a menubar controller like You Control Tunes http://www.yousoftware.com
My iTunes now idles at 3 (before it was 25-30) and averages at about 15 when playing music

Coverflow problem [When I'm walking]

Well, I have *3 days* with my new *iPod Touch 2nd Generation 32GB*.
Usually when I leave home to go work I started to walk because it's near from here, so I carry with me my iPod.
When I'm walking and turn my iPod to see the coverflow nothing happen, doesn't respond, and doesn't show the coverflow. I need to stop to make the coverflow works.
Now my question is...
That only happen with my iPod?
Or is a technical problem with all of them?
Is that normal?

The built-in accelerometer is noticing the movement away from the precisely horizontal and then disabling coverflow in favor of a traditional list.
This happens on all iPT's. Normal behavior.

Sony Smartband SWR10 when will the lifelog app be available?

So my Smartband is in the mail heading my way apparently but the Lifelog app is nowhere to be seen...
So I'll just carry this wristband around for no reason for a while then shall I?

CO-PA: how to find the cycle when I know the sending cost center?

Is there a possibility to find a specific cycle in CO-PA when I know the sending cost center (something like a search-function which returns a list)?
I was looking in transaction KEU5 but I don't think that it provides the above mentioned functionality...

but I am afraid it doesn't work. The assessment is for CO-PA, that means the costs will be allocated to products. When I choose the relevant line item here - after the assessment has been fulfilled - I can't see any information about the cycle...
Any other ideas?

What on earth is a charge cycle when it's at home?

is a full charge cycle 5 hours?And how many would be good? When I got it I looked in the instructions and it said 5hrs or until it says fully chraged, I didn't do 5 hours but until it said fully charged. Also how can you tell the actual status of the battery ie if it shows red, does that actually mean that it is on the verge of running out or will it last a while.
I would appreciate your help
PS.I charged it on an adaptor from my mums 20GB iPod photo ( 4G). Don't know if this makes a difference. I think I also had it in a cover for atleast some of it.
P.P.S Since I originally posted this message I have started to as recommended by apple and a few of you lot on this forum, test the duration of the battery and just let it repeatedly play an album until it dies. Will try and remember to let you guys know how it went.

You can find out how long your battery lasts by doing this:
Plug your iPod into your computer and reset all of your Play Counts. Then unplug it from your computer and set your iPod to repeat one song. After the battery dies, plug it into your computer and open up iTunes, and there should be a tab (Name, Artist, Date Added, etc...) that is either there or that you can add by right clicking on Name, Artist, Date Added, etc... that's called Play Count. Just multiply how long the song was by how many times it played.

BT Broadband thinks it's connected when, to all in...

Apologies for resurrecting an old topic, and one that is similiar to, but not the same as the next thread.
BT Broadband is saying it’s connected, when it seemingly isn’t, so no webpages download. We have been experiencing this problem since our exchange was “upgraded” on 24 January but did not before. We were warned it might take a few weeks for things to settle down, but 4 MONTHS is beyond a joke.
The info from the Service Status Page isn't listing our area as affected by an outage or a known problem.

The symptoms:
(1)    Our neighbours, on a separate line, are experiencing similar problems.
(2)    Our router is reporting that we are connected, but Windows is reporting no internet connection and no web pages can be downloaded. We get the “This webpage is not available. The server at bt.com can’t be found” error page
(3)    Diagnostic tools that require internet connection, e.g. BT’s speedtester, cannot run.
(4)    This (effective) loss of connection happens at least five or six times a day.
(5)    All internet connected devices developed the problem on the day of the “upgrade” in both houses. This seems to me to exclude the routers unless some setting there needs to be changed manually following the “upgrade” of the exchange and to exclude the wiring in each house, which would have had to develop faults simultaneously.
I've tried connecting the router directly to the (front) of the main socket - no change. And the quiet line test - I got a continuous steady drone, which I assume is the tired old phone, no pops or crackles at all.
(6)    The BT Broadband to both houses was working fine before the “upgrade” of the exchange.
(7)    No web pages can be downloaded on any machine/OS we have tried: Android, iOs, Windows 7 Pro 64 and 32 bit, Windows 8 DP and CP, Windows XP, and various media players, phones, etc. All client devices “fall over” simultaneously. I think this excludes settings on any client device. All our desktops/laptops run anti-virus/malware that is updated every day. Scans have not found any viruses or malware.
(8)    We are using a Netgear DGN2000 ADSL2 router with the latest firmware installed, our neighbours have a BT HomeHub, i.e. the problem is not router specific.
(9)    Disconnecting and reconnecting, either by a cold reboot of the router or a software disconnect-reconnect from BT Broadband at the router, immediately restores web functionality.
(10) We have tried BT’s helpline without success. Their scripts do not cover this type of problem apparently. “I’m sorry sir, I don’t understand your problem” - exact quote – call ended.

First of all, let me say the Mods are working hard to solve my problems.
We had an engineer in on Friday to investigate our problems. He blamed the extension cable and star wired other extension in our house which was resulting in high numbers of CRC errors. He changed our old style socket for an open reach one.
NB Our neighbours are experiencing similar problems since our exchange was upgraded, just as we are.
We have agreed to replace the extension cable with cat 5e spec cable, but I would like to know if anyone knows how many CRC errors are needed before the whole schebang collapses.
I have logged the errors and fall overs today and can't see any pattern that links CRC errors to fall overs - but then I don't pretend to know what I'm supposed to look for.
So, can anyone tell me:
(1) How many CRC errors are significant?
(2) What is the expected time delay between a bunch of CRC errors and the system freezing? Instant, 15 min, 45 min, more?
(3) What should I be looking for?

Can we control order of cycling when use same access key in multiple locations

Hi,
I'm using Jdev 11.1.1.6, IE 9, Firefox 24.0.
I have created simple jspx page having two buttons, named Add and Close. Close button has got access key as C. When click on Add button I'm calling a <af:popup> and that popup contains two buttons Submit and Cancel. Cancel button has got access key as C. Basically in one jspx file I have got two button using same access key. At runtime those buttons will display one in page and one in popup.
In IE: it works fine. When I do access key on popup it will close down the popup.
In Firefox: it will first focus to the button on the page. When I access the same key for the second time it will set the focus to button on popup and will not execute the action.
If I'm using different letters it will perform the action in firefox and IE both. In my requirement I need to use the same letter.
I read in oracle documentation "If the same accessKey appears in multiple locations in the same page of output, the rendering user agent will cycle among the elements accessed by the similar keys.". So it seems to be an expected behaviour.
My question is: Can we control the order of cycling. i.e. If we do access key on popup, can we first focus on the button in popup instead of button on the page in firefox.?
