in s40 phone when any app is highlited we select options>app. Access>smartcard
what does smartcard(here) mean ?

I know that iCloud backs-up apps and other stuff to your phone incase you want restore from a back-up if you start a New iPhone. My question is if I start a new iPhone (not use the restore from back-up option) and redownload apps like (Games, Instagram), would my pics show up on Instagram and would my Games show it was saved and the acccomplisments will remain from the last place I left out.

Icloud or itunes backup, only backs up app data, not the app itself.
so if you restore as new, then there is no app data on your phone, you start out new... -
i would like to go for older version of one of the app ( snipsnap ). previously i used to have in my iphone but during synching i did not got option to transfer apps to library so i lost all my apps. how can i get snipsnap v1.3 again? or if anyone have link to this older version app please let me know. thanks.
You appear to have an iPhone 5. Snipsnap 2.4.2, the current version, says it works on iPhone 5, iOS 5.0 or later. Why do you want an out of date version of the app?

i changed my app store from canada to india and for that i'd to update my payment option details for app store and was charged with Rs. 60 twice. once the day i added the card details. and then another one 3 days later. why did that happen?
i read soemwhere that it automatically gets credited back within 3-5 working days.
waited for more than 7 days but no credit was given back.
m feeling bad that i got charged without making any purchase.Each time that you add or change the card details on your account (and possibly also if you change your name and address, as the card needs to be registered to the same name and address as on your iTunes account) you will be charged a temporary store holding charge to check that the card details are valid and that the card is active, but it should disappear within a few days or so (the amount of time that it takes will vary by card issuer) : store holding charge.
Give it a few more days, and if it still hasn't disappeared then try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption -
Copy option in iBooks app has disappeared

I just discovered that the copy option in iBook app disappeared (in the same book). Not the first time, in the past had to reinstall the application to appear again but this time not served.
This happened to anyone else?

Mountain Lion Download option disappeared from app store.
I purchased mountain lion and downloaded it to a few of my macs and I was trying to install it again and it no longer shows as a download option in the app store. Do they only let you download it a limited number of times?

No, whatever the problem is, that is not it.
Try signing out of the App Store, and signing in again. It should appear under "Purchases".

If you have signed up for the up-to-date program, Apple will send you two emails. One has a secure pdf document with the redemption code inside. The other email will have the password to open the secure pdf. Once you have the redemption code open the Mac App Store, sign into your account, go to the Features pane and you will find the Redeem link in Quick Links on the right of the pane. Click the link and follow the on screen instructions to use the redemption code and download the 4+ GB Mountain Lion installer. -
Cannot activate "Workflows can use app permissions"

I have a SharePoint 2013 on Windows Server 2008 R2.
And I create a develop site to share my apps.
First, I try to activate the app permission, but it fail.
Is anybody knows how to fix it?

1) You have configured your workflow manager properly. Make sure there are not issues with your workflow manager and you can create workflow using SP 2013 Workflow Manager.
2) You have configured apps for SharePoint 2013. Again you will need to make sure that you have hit all the check when configuring SharePoint 2013 apps.
Follow these two articles to make sure that you have configured apps for SharePoint 2013.

Is there an app for "streetview" on maps? I would pay big $$$ to get that map program back, Apple please make that an option in the App Store!
Upgrading to IOS6 was a big, big, big mistake..... I needed the street view feature for travelling about.... What they have in now is crap !!!

Missing workflow app identifier in Site App Permissions
Hi everyone,
I´m wondering if anyone can help me with this issue: I can´t get the Workflow app identifier to appear (again) in Site App Permissions. I was having some trouble with workflow permissions after changes in our SharePoint environment and decied to
delete the Workflow app permissions and de-activate the "Workflows can use app permissions", and re-activate to hopefully get things working again...
Issue:
However, when I activate the feature (again), the App identifier does not appear in the "Site App Permission".
Can anyone tell me how to acivate/add this identifier other than with activating the site feature?

For your issue, Try to do the steps below:
Navigate to _layouts/15/appinv.aspx i.e. grant permission to app page.
Type app identifier and click Lookup, it will generate Title.
Type App Domain such as contosoapps.domain.
Type the following to App's Permission Request XML.
Click Create, it will pop up SharePoint app, and click Trust it.

Lost Option For Disk Repair Permissions

I'm using 10.4.11
Unless I'm missing something here, it seems I've lost the option to Repair Disk Permissions for all of my
Non-System Drives? I now only have the option to Repair Disk Permissions for the System Drive only.
I never had this condition before - always ran Repair Disk Permissions for all the external drives on a regular basis. Perhaps this process was never necessary to begin with? But that still doesn't explain why the option is 'Grayed Out'
What have I done differently? The only thing I can think of, is the fact that I added an 800 FW cable internally (to the 3rd internal FW800 Out Port), on one if the PCI Multi Port Cards. That additional Drive is turned off right now.

Yes I realize I have a lot of external drives, but I'd rather not get into a discussion of SATA Controller Cards at this point. I've got tons of Video Files that would ALL need reconnection in FCP. Trust me, it's not an option right now.

If so, then why was I able to see that function before? 'Repair Disk Permissions' was ALWAYS there despite the circumstances. Ummm?
Did you ever clone your internal to these before? It really should not be available unless there is an OSX on it.
How bout 'Disk Repair'? Does it benefit to perform this function on all of these external drives? I've always read this before.
Actually, THE most important one is Disk Repair, and it really should be done before any Permission Repairs... now it's not a problem to Repair Permissions if the Disk is OK, but Repairing Permissions if the Disk Directory is the slightest messed up is like sending envelopes of cash out to addresses, but all the street signs have been changed.
Just to see if it would make a difference, I checked the Box 'Ignor Disk Permissions' Same result - can only perform 'Disk Repair'
Yes, the way it should be, but normally you want Ignore permission set on external drives. You can have or set Permissions on external drives, but it's normally not needed.
BTW, Repair Permissions does not Repair all Permissions on your Boot Drive either, just on System Files/Folders, not any in your Users folder for instance. -
Foursquare bypasses app permissions
I already posted this on crackberry.com (http://forums.crackberry.com/blackberry-10-apps-f274/location-service-app-permissions-denied-foursqu... and there someone recommended me posting it again here on blackberry.com since it sounds like an security issue...
Well, the thing is, under settings->app permissions I deny location service for foursquare. nevertheless, when i open foursquare immediately the location service icon appears next to the battery symbol and disappears when I close foursquare again... Foursquare also properly lists places near me... although I did not allow foursquare to use the location service in settings!
If I fully deactivate location services in settings, foursquare tells me, that it would be better to activate the location services in settings and does not show me any results for a search "near me"...AFAIK, this only can be done with rooting, I never heard of a possible way to set app permissions without root. Let's wait from @alexdon or @Thommo to confirm that.
