Smartfit for Micropho

Is it possible to use Creative Mediasource's Smartfit capabilities with a Microphoto?I used to use his with my MuVo TX FM. Now,?I use WMP to transfer music to my player because it can convert my mp3's to 64kbps wma's while transferring music to the player to fit more songs. I wanted to try Mediasource but it doesn't seem to have the same functionality, does any one know how to do use Creative software to do this?

You can use MediaSource to convert the files into lower bit rate files. To do so, just right click on the files in MediaSource's PC Music Library and select to convert the audio format. After the conversion, you can then transfer the lower bit rate files to your MP3 player via MediaSource.

When you connect your player it appears in the left pane of MediaSource. Click on it and a SmartFit button appears at the top - default is Off. If you click on Settings you can also set up the options for SmartFit i.e. enable/disable it and change bit-rate.
You can also use SmartFit in Zen Nano Plus Media Explorer which appears under My Computer when your player is connected.
WMP has a similar function when you Sync files to the player - select the Sync tab and the Settings icon on the right-hand side. On the Quality page are the settings for varying the bit-rate when you sync.

  • Case for micropho

Does anyone know where to get a case for the microphoto? I just bought one and can't find a case anywhere!

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....ct&id=88447668?The ad says Micro...But click the "enlarge picture" link, and it clearly shows a MicroPhoto in the case. And it's under a dollar. Wow.

  • What are supported sampling frequency and digitization rates for Zen Micropho

Some MP3's are playing back slowly. It is inconsistent, though, since files with the same digitization rate and sampling frequency will behave differently - some right speed, some slow.
    The bulletin board says:
"My tracks don't play at the correct speed e.g. they play too slowly, why?
Chances are they are encoded in an unsupported sampling frequency..."
How do I find out what the supported sampling fequencies and digitization rates are?

Thanks for the info. I guess I was looking for something more specific - the exact bitrates and sample rates that Creative claims to support. Would you know where official and comprehensi've data can be had? There must be a tech spec somewhere.
It is common these days in business to see a recording of, say, a conference call or seminar presentation at 32k bitrate/025Hz, or even 24k bitrate/8000Hz, posted to a company's website for download by those who could not be there, and MP3 players are increasingly used for their replay. Companies use low digitization rates because there is no need for hifi and the files are much smaller: less storage, faster download.
I'd be surprized to think that Creative don't have compatibility with the standard range of rates offered by ubiquitous programs like Audacity and dBpower, the latter being one they themselves recommend!

  • What's a good bitrate for songs for Zen Micropho

I know a bitrate of 60 kpbs in WMA format is not good. It makes the player skip.
Which format is better? MP3 of WMA? And what type of bitrate is too high for the Zen Microphoto I want my songs to play without skipping :/
    Thanks!!

"WMA IS BETTER THAN MP3...its straight from the cd duh~"
Well like I said, it's all a matter of what you prefere. If you say that WMA is better than mp3, well, I really can't argue with you on that. However, WMA is not straight from the CD. The music on a CD is in an uncompressed format, similar to WAV, which is why CDs have such good sound quality. WMA is a compressed format, so is mp3. When you rip a CD your computer converts the music from the uncompressed format on the CD to a compressed format, either WMA or mp3. If you really want good sound quality use WAV, but you going to pay big time with extremely large file size. The reason why is because WAV is an uncompressed format.Message Edited by FuturePilot on 07-23-2006 03:45 PM

  • Desperately In Need Of Case For (ZEN MicroPho

I've done hours of research but can't come up with any Microphoto Cases, I realize the normal Zen Micros cut off the top of the ZMP's screen. I don't want that, at this point I'll take anything from Silicon to Aluminum cases. Anybody have any ideas?

on my zen micro i simply use a case-logic soft/spongy case. this is for a dsc-p9. i had to modify the clip as it was a loop. here in thailand i was able to find a clip (use an old clip from cell phone case) and sew it into the thing. punch a hole in the back for the line. im pretty happy with it although its a wee bit short with the jack atthe top - us0 bucks.
th ebiggest issue youll have fashioing a case is the jack at the top. enuff clearance for teh jack, but not a suitcase on your belt.

  • Is there anywhere where I can get software for my Micropho

I have changed computers and I have lost my original CD disk which inside contained the original Zen Microphoto Media Explorer. Is there anywhere where I can download this legally since my MP3 player is basically useless without it because MediaSource won't even recognize it when my computer can. Thanks.

I appreciate the response but I have already checked the downloads page and for some reason, Media Explorer is not even listed but instead Media Source Go which refuses to even recognize the MP3 player even though my computer does. I'm wondering if there are any other sources where I can get it.

  • The Universal Travel Adapter for Zen Micropho

k i li've in canada and i bought this thing. Aparently it is supposed to come with 5 different plug ins. I never got these. Dunno why but i never did.... Where can i buy them seperatly? Can i even do this? Thanks

    Leafs,
Are you positi've that you have gotten the correct package There's a Zen power adaptor that comes without those interchangeable plug which I saw from the online store here. If you're sure you have gotten the correct package perhaps you should contact the vendor/Customer Support(if you had order from the online store) and verify with them.

  • Where can I get a mains charger for my Micropho

    Hi, hope someone can help.
I li've in England and it seems that Creative have discontinued the mains charger/travel adapter. Have read a few posts here which indicate that there might be problems with generic ones. Have found a couple of 'resellers' of branded chargers on amazon, but no official ones.
I have got a powered USB hub, but the player can take up to 7 hours to charge, mains should be much faster.
    Thanks in advance

Embarrassment, I've found the answer! It's in the Creative shop and I've just ordered one.

  • Smartforms for SAP process orders.

    Hi,
We want  to use smart forms instead of SAP scripts for process order for various reasons.
COnfig does not allow using smart forms.
So we called the smart form in the print program of the sap script.
But this process is not using the configuration ( OPK8 or CB85).  Its always picking the default printer from the user profile.
Did any one do this before?  if yes what is the process followed.
we are using the function CALL FUNCTION 'SSF_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME'
    to print the smart form.

    Hello,
SAPScript use the structure ITCPO to know the printer to use and all the configuration.
You have to transform ITCPO to SMARTFORMS parameters to have the same behavior.
It will be something like that in your abap code :
    SAPScript to Smartforms
      PERFORM convert_itcpo_2_ssf

                print_co-screen

  • Creative MuVo N200 SmartF

I have a 256MB NuVo N200. Now, I have about 50 songs on this MP3 player but have heard that decreasing the bandwith of my music would allow me to fit way more music. Can someone tell me how to use the SmartFit converter and how much more music I can expect to fit after converting my music?
    <DIV align=right>"Tanks"

"Smart Fit" simply records the music onto your player as WMA files at a 64kbs rate. You can get about 8 hours of music on your 256 mb player using this rate. There will be a very noticeable loss in quality of sound however. In my experience, WMA files are a nice way to fit more music into the same amount of space, but 64 is just too low. 96 kbs is about the minimum for near CD quality sound (similar to an MP3 rate of 28 kbs).

  • Wrong 'mini dvi to video' adapter for my 12" Powerbook 1.33

I recently bought the M9319 mini dvi - video adapter for my 12" Powerbook 1.33 to find that the mini dvi on the adapter is a different size to the one on the computer and the adapters supplied with the computer.
I've been doing a bit of research into this and it seems a bit of a grey area. Apple have not made it clear in advertising this product that it is only suitable for the newest 12" Powerbooks and even state that it will work with a 1.33 machine in their following article:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=86507
Has anyone had a similar experience, or suggest an alternative product that will work? Did Apple make an older version that works with the 1.33?
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Graeme.

Just took the adapter to my local Apple store and they identified it as a mini VGA to video adapter - not what it said on the packaging!
I've noticed a few posts with this problem, so just double check before you leave the store that the packaging matches the product.

  • Apple Mini-DVI to Video Adapter for eMac ?

    Hi,
I use an Apple Mini DVI to VGA on my eMac to expand my monitor space, connect to an old Pinceton 15" lcd, both are on 1024 x 768 res in millions colors, and work fine.
My question is I have plan to buy an Apple Mini-DVI to Video Adapter since some of my project require a transfer process to an old vcr or Sony TRV-27 mini dv cam.
Would the adapter compatible for my eMac mini DVI port ? because eMac is not mentioned as apple compatible for this adapter at apple store, yet there is a review said it work great on ones eMac.
Anybody else using this adapter that would share with me ?
    Thank you.

look like it is indeed an apple mini vga adapter that I use, and now I need an adapter that allow me to connect to a TV, VCR or Mini-DV camcorder.
will that Apple Mini-DVI to Video adapter compatible to my eMac. Or do they have mini-vga to video adapter on aapple store.
    Thank you any information.
