Are you trying to print to a Zebra printer?  I have not be able to accomplish this myself.  On page forty (40) of this document from Zebra it states that this is not possible, but they provide a work around.
http://www.zebra.com/id/zebra/na/en/documentlibrary/misc/sap_smartforms_technical.File.tmp/SAP_SmartForms_V3.pdf&dvar1=null&dvar2=null&dvar3=null
Let me know if are able to get this to work.

  • Smartforms in Landscape mode not working on page two

    Hi Everybody,
I am facing a rather special issue with Smartforms about Landscape printing and I'm out of solution. I've looked at other threads but I cannot find the correct solution to my issue.
I defined only 1 page in my form. It is set with DINA4 and Landscape orientation. The printing works fine for the first page but when my report has a second page it is printed in Portrait mode. The print preview displays all pages in Landscape but when they are physically printed, the second page is Portrait.
I manually calculate the number of lines to print in a loop and change page with a Command Node. Before starting printing each page I execute a Command Node to force the Landscape orientation (SLAND).
I use the LOCL printer to print my report.
Is there any other set up to do? In SPAD, in the ABAP program or physically on the printer or else?
    Thank you for your answers.
    Best regards,
    Sylvain

    Hi Aidan,
Thank you for your answer and sorry for the late reply but it took a while to find the exact problem and implement it in productive system.
The problem was related the LOCL printer definition in SPAD but it was linked to "Host Spool Access Method" parameter.
It was set to "Print on Front End Computer (F)" but this value is not supported by SAP anymore. We had to set it to "Front End Printing with Control Tech. (G)".
The reports are now printed in Landscape orientation correctly.
Thank you again for your support.
    Best regards,
    Sylvain

  • Smartform in Landscape and fax

    Hi all,
I've a smartforms formular which is in lanscape. Using the OTF file, I create a PDF document using FM CONVERT_OTF  and SCMS_XSTRING_TO_BINARY. This part works perfectly.
Then I want to Fax this PDF document which is in Landscape. Therefore I'm using FM SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1.
The fax is sent but in Portrait and not in Landscape. Is there any solution to send it in Landscape ?
Thanks in advance for your Help

    Hi

  • Smartforms duplex (landscape) issue

    Hi All,
I've develop new smartforms for goods receipt .
    PAGES         PRINT CONTROL            NEXT PAGE
    PAGE1                 --  D                             PAGE2
    PAGE2               -
                              PAGE1
And for PAGE1 capacity only 10 item lines , and in every GR we found more than 10 item lines.
So my scenario like that i ve to print PAGE1 with 10 lines and back-back PAGE2 then next 10 lines again and back to back  PAGE2. But because of PAGE2 next page PAGE1 after all completion it give one more page with headings only (blank page).
So assist me how to sort out this DUPLEX issue.
    -Navin

    Dear Madhuri,
    Try this out,
    1. set the CONTRACT_OFFER next page attribute to CONTRACT_OFFER itself. So evenif the contract_offer main window goes beyond the first page, the same page type will be triggered.
    2. Now at the point where your contract_offer related  information ends in th main window and before the checklist related information starts, use a command node to dynamically set the next page attribute to CHECK_LIST. So at  this point the CHECK_LIST page will be triggered and the CONTRACT data since it is over will not be displayed.
    3. If check_list information also spans multiple pages then set the next page attribute for check_list page to check_list itself.

  • Rotate Smartform

    Hello Exoerts,
I am printing a Smartform in Landscape format. When I take the print from a printer; the smartform rotate in anticlockwise direction if i compare it with a print in portrate format.
I want the Smartform to rotate in clockwise direction due to a special paper format(it has some peel off tags)  on which we are taking print.
    Plaese suggest a solution.
    Thanks,
    Pankaj Sharma

Don't use the ZEBRA command to rotate ... goto barcode definition (SE73) and create a "copy" of your barcode and set "ROTATE" here. example: Code128 h=10mm n=0.5 rotate
Don't forget to put this "new" barcode def. into SMARTSTYLES
    regards

  • Smartforms : first page in landscape, others in portrait

    Hi experts,
I have a problem with a Smartform printing. The first page is in landscape, as i have configured, but the others ones are in portrait.
I don't understand why. I have only one page in my Smartforms and i have put Landscape orientation.
    Thanks

    hi all,
I guess we can put this setting at the spool level by passing some attribute in the FM which is used to invoke Smartforms.
there will be a field for orientation which will help us in the same.
please let me know in case you dont find that.

  • How to get Landscape Letter format in Smartforms ?

    Hi,
In case of SAPscript if we want to define Letter size with landscape format we go to Baisc setting ->
Page format and then select Letter and orientation as L (Landsacpe format, 279mm-215mm).
But in <b>case of smartforms</b> if I want Letter size with format <b>landsacpe format</b> how do I do that ?
If I go to Form attributes -> Page format. I only see Letter format but no details about orientation.
    The format avaialable is Portrait ( 2515mm - 279mm)
    Please help.
    Regards,
    Rajesh...

Under Global Settings --> Form Attributes --> Output Options you can change the page format.
Under Pages and Windows --> (Page Name) --> Output Options
you can select portrait or landscape

  • Smartforms in Zebra Printer - Landscape Format

    Hi all,
I have two issues....Kindly help me in this regard.
    1) I have developed 9 labels in smart forms (all to be printed in Zebra printer) of which 4 should be in Landscape format. I have changed the settings in my smart form(Page>OutputOption>Landscape) for the 4 labels. So, when I give the printout of all the 9 labels these 4 alone should be in Landscape format ad the rest in Portrait format.
But, every label comes in Portrait format only.
    2) In the above label in 1 particular label half of the label is completely black and only remaining half is seen.
I have used the device type :- ZLZEB2 based on the SAP Notes 750002 and 750772.
Kindly help me in this regard as the requirement is pretty urgent.Any information would be helpful.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hello Martin,
Yes, I know about the sap-notes and have tried the tips too. However, the printout is all mugged up on the same line. This my problem. I will try with new-line command and see if the lines print would be seperated line for line.
Do you have an example for me, with screen shots etc?
However, thanks. I have given points

    Hi Barry,
I am not printing to Front End computer (Option F). Instead, I am using Option U, Printing using Berkerly Protocol to a remote computer. In this case, how would the print format such as print orientation can be set?
Please let me know ASAP. Urgent.

  • Landscape, Legal size bitmaps on NT

I'm trying to successfully register a bitmap report in Applications.
The report is landscape and legal size. The server is NT.
I can output to letter size (using Postscript or PCL), but I can't get the report to print on to legal size paper.
I have tried escape sequences in the driver setup in Applications, but looking at the PCL out file, the letter size escape sequence is present instead.
I have set the concurrent manager Options field with the parameter PAGESIZE=14x8.5
I have all sections of the report set to 14 x 8.5 inches (header, body, trailer).
The report is set to bitmap.
The output is fine when sent from the client machine during development (whether PCL, Postscript or PDF)
Yes, I am using Reports 6i.
No, I can't figure it out.
I admit that it is not clear whether the initialization string is even being sent - seeing that it is a bitmap report and not a character based report.
Can anyone out there fill me in how to get the report to print on legal size paper.
Thanks to anyone who offers suggestions.
