Smartform language

Hi SAP prfessionals.
this is maharana.
i have some issues in smartforms.
1) in 4.7 version i tried to convert smartform language in french or german.so in FORM ATRIBURES TAB i selected
    the middle radiobutton SELECTED LANGUAEGS and choose FR and i activate it.but prob is that the form is not converted into
   FR language. so plz giude me how to convert language into other language.
2) a field is given to me,so how can i find the table name related to that field.
    if a structure is given then how can i find the table ,field name.
plz solve these issues.

To Convert SF from one Lang to other.
go to
->se63->translation->Abap objects->other long text-->forms & styles...

Smartforms Language Problem

Hi freinds,
My requirement was to out get the output of the form in two languages English and french.
I got the output in English.
Can anyone please let me know the way to output the form in french.

Hi Niveditha,
In order to get the output of the SMARTFORM in French language or any other language , First check the Translate to all Languages radio button.
Then design the Snmartform.
Later logon using the French Language and then call the required Smartform, and then execute it.
Otherwise change the Smartform language to French Language.

SMARTFORMS language translations are not stored

Experts,
I am trying to translate a SMARTFORM from Language EN to Languages ES, PT & DE.
After maintaining translations using SE63 when I check the output it is giving the correct output with language translations but after changing the english version again, when I tried to give the output in language ES, PT & DE all my translations are gone. I dont know the reason why it happened, even I have created the transport using the program 'RS_LXE_RECORD_TORDER' as well.
Again I did the same thing second time i .e. translated the texts in different languages and again changed the form in language EN (base language) and activated it and after this, again I have tried to give the output in languages ES, PT and DE, again the same all my translations are gone and displaying only in English language.
Kindly give some ideas so that this problem get resolved.

Allotted points for your advice, but actually before asking this question I already searched in the forums and found the same program, but I thought that since my language translations are not getting stored, I may be using wrong program for the transport to be generated.

Smartform language translation

Hi all,
I am working with a Purchase Order smartform. My requirement is depending on the Vendor language the Smartform should be printed in that particular language. For example if the Vendor language is FI, the smartform should be printed in Finnish language. In the smartform I have several Hardcoded Lables and texts in English language. How can I go for the translation of the smartform.

Now if the language of the Vendor to which this Purchase Order is to issued is Finnish
at this time ,did you get language into any variable ?
if yes , as Ravi suggested , change the standard text language with variable like below
or capture the language into a variable and include it in standard text
Example:
/: INCLUDE z_txt OBJECT TEXT ID txt LANGUAGE &Variable&
Name: z_text
Object: Text
Text id: Txt (Text id from SO10)
Language: variable
In the smartform I got the language into a variable and according to what you have explained I need to go with standard texts in SO10 and use the required language standard text in the form depending on the langauge in the variable. Please correct me if I understood something wrong. - yes you are correct
And again my question is cant I use SE63 translated Finnish form instead of the standard texts
No , use standard texts only .Translation will be used in case of different language logins,but standard text has to be created in different languages

Smartforms : Language Support

Hi Friends ,
System is Unicode enabled , i have created a standard text ( through Tcode - SO10 ) in CHINESE ( logon language - EN only ). When i call it in my Smartforms it is displaying like boxes ( garbage ) and if i call same in sapscript then it is displaying properly in chinese language.
Also i'm retriving some value from database table which are in chinese and while debugging , value's are coming properly in chinese only but in print preview it is displaying junk (Boxes instead of character's ) 
Can anyone help me in this.

Hi,
If you have logged on in EN and try to display a chinese text, I don't think it will work well. You might have maintain the text in EN as well by translating using SE63 transaction.
Then it will pick up the EN text and display.

How to TRANSPORT SMARTFORMS LANGUAGE TRANSLATIONS

Hi,
Would anyone know how I will be able to transport to a different system the Language translations I defined for my SMARTFORM?
I observed that I am not asked for a Transport when I define the Translations in SE63

PO Smartform - Language Display

Hi all-,
Domain: SAP SRM PO smartform
I would like to know how to display/output the purchase order using the language of the vendor? For eg, if vendor language is French, I would like the PO smartform output to be displayed in French. I would appreciate any thoughts in this regard.

Try using the BADi "BBP_OUTPUT_CHANGE_SF" and acc set the parameters for the smartform including the Language based on the vendor.

Change Smartform Language Dynamically

Hello Guys,
I got a requirement to display the Smartform text in Russian language from English with the user Login to SAP. I know the way to change the static text with TCode SE63. It also changes the text with user login but what about dynamic text, which we get with our select query in smartform.
For example: Employee description from KNA1. All the list should automatically changed to the Logged in user language, in my case Russian.
I have searched on SDN and found only for the static text maintained via Text module or Text element can be converted. Is there any way around, we can achieve this functionality dynamically.

Check if you have in ADRC the russian info for the Customer .
To get the data you will need kna1-adrnr .
This is how it is done here .
And finally a tip: In the future try to put all your data extraction in the calling program .
Also note the use of parameter CONTROL_PARAMETERS field LANGU .

Smartform Language Conversion

Hi,
The Origin of Smartform is in GERMAN Lang. Afterthat Changes(added 4 fields to display using text elements) has been Done in ENGLISH. Now the Issue while Display the Smartform in French the values for the above four fields are not getting displayed.
We tried to change the language in german and for English and german only it is getting displayed . but in case of FRENCH it is not getting displayed. Kindly Advice.

I tried but still i am facing the problem. In Debugging mode i checked for both english and French. In English it is working fine ( i.e it is displaying the text and values) but in french it is displaying the text only. (Note: In the debugging mode while checking the text element, i found that the text is getting displayed but the variables which holds the values are not there. I tried to give the variables manually and then it is getting displayed)
Can u tell me why the variables are not displayed while i try to display in french???

SMARTFORMS - language translation (urgent)

I developed a smartform in English language. Now I want to translate this form into Finnish language. So, I went to SE63->Translation->R/3->Other long texts->Forms and styles->SSF. Provided the form name, source and target languages clicked the Edit button. In the edit screen, I inserted the translated hardcoded text in the target form. Then clicked save and activate. It says saved and activated.
My question is, how to checked the tranlated form now?
Anyone please let me know the proceedure. I will appreciate the help with points. Thanks

Please note that there is no need to create a smartform in multiple languages as we are doing in SAP scripts.
You can Copy the smarttform by setting a flag in smartforms :
Use T/code : SMARTFORMS --> enter Samrtform name --> Form Attributes --> General Attributes > Language attributes> Language--> Translate to selected langauges/all langauges.
For Translations :
Please use T/code SE63> Translation(Menubar) > R/3 Enterprise>Other long texts> SSF (Smartforms)>Enter Samrtformname-> Define source language and target langauge.
or
se63 -> translation -> R/3 Enterprise -> other Longtexts -> Smartforms -> select your form
-> translate

Smartform language problem

I developed one smartform with EN language and i have written the drive program also. But when im configuring form name to
program name in Nace t.code it is showing like " Smartform En langu is not available". Please help me out in this issue.

Pls find below steps to add any form to NACE, Pls check all this again,
1. Goto in NACE
2. You need to ask your functional buddy to let you know about Application area, I suppose u need to take V3 (Billing).
3. Select V3 from the list and then click on Output Types, select any output type (Which you wud like to give to your smartform)
4. Else if you like to create a new one for your script, then on same screen click on change button, then click on New Entries
And give all the detailed info.
5. To use existing output types, select a output type like "ZEDI", at the left hand side double click on Processing Routines.
6. In the Processing Routines block, Give the Program name as print program and here you need to give your Smart form name in Form option.
You mean to say when you are saving the settings you are getting that error???

SmartForm language EN is not active and has no errors

Hi All,
I am getting an error "Form 'My Form Name' language EN is not active and has no errors ". This a smart form that's currently working fine with an existing company code but when assign this form (form was not changed at all) to another company code and run the dunning statement, it give us the above error. The funny thing is that it is active but still gives us the error.
Does anyone have any idea why this is and what to do to resolve this.

Go into ur form in SMARTFORMS t-code............
In form attributes u have 3 radio buttons right
select translate into all languages option and activate it...........
Don't check the 2 check boxes right to dat.....

Smartforms language erasing

Dear all,
I've created a Z Smarforms in copying a standard one.
It appears that my Z Smartforms exist in several language while I don't want it to.
I've tried to restrict translation from the form attributes with radio button "Do not translate".
However depending on the language of my output type, it keeps on calling different languges.
Is there any way to delete my Smartforms which exist in EN for instance in order to have only the JA version?

URGENT : Converting Smartform into different languages

HI ALL,
Any one has idea about how to convert the smartform to required language,I am trying to convert smartform language Engilsh to Sweden.
When i logon to Swden language and converting the EN smartform to SV,its not changed ,how to solve this issue.

Hi,
Check this setting in your smart form.
Global Settings --> Form Attributes --> General Attributes Tab.
Set radio button 'To All Languages'.
Now your smart form will be translated automatically to the logon language.
For example if you want to see your form in korean language, logout SAP once, then login with korean language 'KO'. (field after username and password)
If you need any specific text in other languages ... you have to create text id in SO10 using different logon languages.
