Smartform - no data incoming to print-program (structures empty)

Hi,
I am creating a Smartform for an RMA, based on a standard Sales Order confirmation form.
When testing the entry in the print program, I have noticed that none of the incoiming global structures are filled with values (VBDKA, VBDPA and etc).
Is this normal or has something not been configured correctly?
The only structure that is filled is NAST, which gives me the objky number. This is triggered from VA02.
Please help.

Hello
This is normal scenario. Print program will always have NAST data coming from Document Output Determination. You will have to fetch/collect any other data required for printing in the Driver Program/Print Program.
For ex: function module RV_DOCUMENT_PRINT_VIEW has been used in Print Program RVADOR01 (Print Program for Sales Documents) to collect the required data which is used to print the sales documents.

Regarding passing an internal table from print program to smartform....

can any body let me how to pass an internal table to the smartform, i have processed the data in the print program then i want to pass the final internal table from the print program to smartform and with that data in the internal table i have to process it in the smartform (i want to get some more data based on the internal table data from the print program) and then i will display finally.
for example: i have it_qals which contains all the lot numbers which is processed in teh printprogram, now i want to pass all these (it_qals) lotnumbers to smartform , and in the smartform i will use the lotnumbers in the it_qals table and will process other data accordingly
can any body help me plzz.. its very urgent

Print program for delivery output printing

Hi,
I need help with creating a custom smart form and print program for outbound delivery.
1. i want to know how to select data in my print program ? i mean how to i get the delivery number when the output type is executed.
2. What parameters are to be passed so that delivery opens as soon as the output type is processed.

Details of output triggered can be obtained from nast. By default structure nast is populated with the values when the print program is being processed. Field OBJKY is used for the delivery number; Application : V2
It could be enough to pass an internal table with item level details and an header structure. This more or less is dependent on the output desired.

Handling Output in the print program

All,
I have the following issue.
We are having a single custom smartform for printing purchase order used for printing for 32 company codes, Because of this smartform has been tide up with lot of "Conditions"
Now we wanted to split this smartform based on regions ie Americana, APEC, Europe, ME & Africa.
But the problem is this Smartform has been currently called using a single output type.
So if we created 4 copy of this Smartform (1 for each region), we don't wanted to create 4 new output types for calling these forms according to the region.
So we are thinking creating a custom table contains the region code and smartform name. so in the print program we are going to read this table and get the smartform and go for priting.
Is anybody come across this kind of problem. Is any other better options available to handle this?
PS: I feel this is not smartform issue. that's why i created under general abap. Moderators are agree with this

Contents of a custom print program for a custom smartform

Hi...
Can you please tell me if we are writing a custom print program from scratch for a custom smartform for which there is no standard form available what are all the things that need to be coded in the print program..
My doubts on this are if we are configuring this form for output types of PO purchase order for mediums 1,2, 5 and 6 does any extra coding need to be done in the print program that is related to these mediums or is it just a configuration issue..
Apart from data retrieval part and call the function modules to send the data to smartforms what are the other things that we need to code in a custom smartform.. Anything that we need to code related to printing issues..
It would be great if someone can post a custom print program for any output type valid for mediums 1, 2, 5 and 6.
Also my last doubt is do we need to do anything in SE11 in designing a smartform and in what context do we need it...

yes you need to create your own print program. You need to catch printing information and to send data to your smartforms.
To send data to your smartforms you need to use structure describe in the data dictionnary.

Can you please tell me the flow of code. are you calling Me21n in your driver program via call transaction?
As I told you earliear Form routine is the entrance gate within a driver program for your PO.. Now after calling ME21n, You need to define a form routine. Name of the form rutine wud be same given in NACE..
In that Form routine, fetch all the data that have to be on Form layout. Here keep in mind.. you need to fetch the data form any table using NAST-OBJKY. This is a objeck key, Must be equal to PO number coming from Me21n screen..
After fetching the data, Call the smartform ....
I think i have covered all the things.. Pls try this..

How to write print program for smartforms

Hi all
I need to develop new smartform and its print program.
But Im not experience in writing print program for smartform.
Ive gone through the simple print program sample that use only one table as input and one table for output.
But my smartforms require few tables for input and output.
How should I define the Data?
Can anyone guide me on how to write it.

Using standard PO Printing Program for Smartforms

Hi Experts,
I am some hiccups coding my print program for a PO Smartform that am currently working on.The requirement was to use the standard print program to trigger my Smartform PO. I have read alot of threads on this, but am still clueless.
Some says to comment out the functions like "OPEN_FORM" ,"WRITE_FORM" and having your block of codes inside the "NEU_" routine.
But I noticed, there are even some conditions and logic checking before the "write_form" is called and sometimes the table entries are also cleared. In this kind of situation, how should I be passing the table data to the Smartform function module?By copying the contents to an internal table? And there are many include programs which currently the standard program has, should I be using all that too?
Appreciate your input and advice on this.

Smartform print program for order confirmation

Hi experts.
I am looking for a smartform print program for order confirmation.
The order confirmation in standard is a script with the name RVADOR01 and I tried to copy and change but I don't know which to eliminate and whcih to keep it.

Migrating SAPscript print program to Smartform

hello everyone,
Requirement is to print transfer orders. Current functionality supports SAPscripts and its print program. Since we are going to be using Smartforms, I need to change the print program so that it calls the custom smartform created by me.
Can anybody help me out by telling me a step-by-step process as to WHERE and WHAT changes I can do in the SAPscript print program so that I can use it for my Smartform?
The SAPscript print program that needs to be changed is: RLVSDR40.

Hi Fred,
The system does not migrate the print program (data retrieval) or the form logic contained in the print program. You must make the required changes to the respective print program yourself. PL take a look at the following

Hi,
You have to write your select query in your print program(Coded using SE38 and type 1)
In that program once you have retrieved data using your select query pass that data to the function module generated by Smartforms.

Call two smartforms from two different print programs

Hi Sapiens,
I have a requirement that there are two different smartforms and they have there independent print programs.
Just wanted to know weather is it possible in SAP to merge those to smartforms and there print programs so that first smartform is displayed first and second smartform is printed at its back(duplex printing).

Hi,
You can use submit program in the first program to call the second program and
fetch the required interface data related to the second smartform and once u have the interface data
for both the programs then u can merge the both smartforms data and display them as one layout instead of displaying the two layouts in different formats.
For merging of data of both the smartforms u can do :Convert the output of first smartform into OTF format data then convert the data of second smartform into OTF table and append it to the first table .
Now u have the data of both the smartforms in one table then convert this OTF data into PDF format and create a spool request with the combined forms data.

I want to know any method for searching the standard print program for printing smartform in Fi module.

FI related Forms will be configure in SPRO.
Goto SPRO and FI related applivcation.
There you will find the related forms and programs.
