Smartform not working for languages other than EL (english) !

I have a scenario of producing a pdf form(smartform) by clicking on a button in PC-UI portal .
Whenever i tried generating the pdf form (smartform) in any diff. language rather than english by logging in PCUI portal in that language , i found the following:
In the code, generated by the smartform, there is a function call to function ssfcomp_process_document.
It returns sy-subrc 1 and the error is FORMATTING_ERROR. , whenver other 4 languages are used instead of english .
Can anyone help? suggest possible reasons for this ?

I think you need to first translate the smartform into other languages. Before translation, it wont work.
Steps for translation:
1. goto Transaction SE63
2. in R3 Enterprise select form menu
Translation - ABAP Objects - Other long texts
3. select FS - SSF-Smart Form
4. Object Name: choose your smart form
5. select target language
6. press edit

We have upgraded our Siebel from 7.8 to Siebel 8.1 and in that we have moved from Actuate to BIP Reports. We have created a customized report in which we have put in the Filters on '.rtf' file to show a particular set of data. This report is deployed for 3 languages : English (ENU), Portuguese (PTB) and Spanish (ESN).After deploying this report, on Web application, it is working fine for all the languages but we are facing an issue on mobile client, the report is only working fine in ENU but for other languages(PTB & ESN) it is failing (means the filter which we put on '.rtf' is not working on other languages).
Is anybody face this issue and what will be the solution for this?

I think you need to first translate the smartform into other languages. Before translation, it wont work.

XSLT transformer of CQ is not working for properties other than property named as "text"

At the location "/libs/wcm/core/content/pdf/page2fo.xsl", of CQ 5.5 instance, I can see a transformer that converts the geometrixx pages to pdf. For the text component of foundation the code "<xsl:apply-templates select="text"/>" transforms the Rich Text of text component to PDF removing all the markup. Now If I change the property name of the "Text" component from "text" to "mytext", the PDF is not able to show the RTE content anymore. Any idea why the name of the property can't be changes?

You have to debug the entire system behaviour , the approval process using the second approver.
As first step , please check the security level of the second approver. Restart of workflow is based on the security level of the approver.
you can find the parameter for security level in the personalization tab of the user .
there is one function module which determines wether the workflow should be restarted (or) not.
i do not remember the exact name of the function module.
1)start transaction se37
2)enter bbpwflrestart*.
3) system will return a number of function modules , of them one function module determines wether to restart the workflow (or) not.
Please check what does the above function module return for the user and the shopping cart , there will be one parameter 'restart' which triggers the start

Clip notes alternative for CS5 other than CS REVIEW?

Hi all,
While i don't begrudge adobe for creating a new revenue stream with CS Review.... I was wondering if anyone has come up with a Clip Notes alternative other than CS Review?
I know i can export a clip with timecode but i like the way Clip Notes worked. I had no problem emailing or ftping the pdf file to the client.

Well....
For now, I'll just overlay the timecode effect on the video, render it out to a wmv file that's about half the size of the original and put it on my ftp server for the client to pick up and review. They can email the timecode changes.
I really hate it that Adobe keeps adding and removing features. It's hard to do without a feature that you've come to expect will be there when you upgrade and that you've gotten use to. If they really want to try something out, make it a plugin.

Statement not printing in language other than English

In script, there is one statement 'Billing Address' to be printed as it is. It is declared as standard paragraph(AS). In English o/p it's printing where as language selected as DE, the same is not printing.

Auto To working for one material and not working for other material

I have configured the auto TO. Its working fine for one material and not working for the other material. I checked the material master and wm 1,2 views have the same fileds / values. What could be wrong?
I didn't setup the back ground processing job. Is that is affecting it?

When a pdf file is opened in a tab, the automatic scroll function from the pad does not work in the other tabs, but only for the particular PDF tab.

Have you checked to see if your PDF add-on is up to date? You should take a look at the [[Opening PDF files within Firefox]] Knowledge Base article. There is a lot of good information in there. You should try both of the suggested PDF add-ons to see if that fixes the issue.

Auto_lexer (stemming) not working for other languages(other than english)

We are planning to use AUTO_LEXER instead of MULTI_LEXER and observed that stemming is not working for German where as it is working for English when I use AUTO_LEXER. I even used query templates but of no use.
But when i use MULTI_LEXER, creating sub lexers for German and Enlgish, Stemming is working for German also after changing the session language and setting stemmer of wod list to German (Which is expected).

this doesnt work even after changing the session language. My default Sesson language is AMERICAN.

According to the online documentation, Oracle only supports stemming for English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Japanese. Oracle does not support Russian stemming, although you may have gotten some accidental results, due to identifying it as a different language and applying stemming rules for that language. The following manual sections show the languages available for the index_stems attribute of the basic_lexer and stemmer attribute of the basic_wordlist:

I don't work for Oracle, so I don't know why they do things the way they do.
So, you need to stick with the basic_wordlist for stemming, not the lexers. However, you may get better performance by combining the multi_lexer with the basic_wordlist, as the multi_lexer eliminates time spent on automatic language detection. But, you need to remember not to use the index_stems with your lexer, since it will conflict with the wordlist. I am not experiencing any time problems as you have. Please see the demo below. I have provided the whole script below that, so that you can reproduce it on your system. If you still have problems, then it may be due to differences in versions.

Print preview of the PO -languages other than English is not appearing.

Hi Experts
In the Print preview of the Purchase Order -languages other than English is not appearing.
When I create a PO for a chinese vendor , in the print i can see only the ##### characters.
Pl let me know how to solve this issue.
Note :
Vendor language is maintained as Chinese in vendor master & same is getting copied in the PO heaader communication tab.
With outtype LP01 it works for the print preview , however when sent as a PDF it wil be with #### charaters.
But when i select LOCL it gives #### charaters for both print & PDF.

Wake on Demand: Not working for some services, others OK

I haven't been able to figure this problem out... Wake on Demand for a previous generation Mac mini running Snow Leopard 10.6.8 works for things like a CrashPlan automated backup but does not work for things like remote SSH login or Screen Sharing. In all cases, the services are being originated on a latest generation iMac running Mac OS X Lion (10.7.2).
While it's not an earth-shattering event to get off my backside and walk over to the Mac mini across the house to press its Shift key to waken the thing, it gets rather old to have to keep doing so, especially since CrashPlan automated backups are taking place while the Mac mini is otherwise asleep (the sleep indicator is slowly pulsing).
I've been through the Apple tech notes regarding Wake on Demand for Snow Leopard 10.6 and have ensured that AirPort and its network are at the top-most position in their respective lists. Other than that, I'm not sure what else I can do. Wake on Network is enabled in the Snow Leopard Mac mini's network System Preferences and there doesn't seem to be any on/off option in the AirPort Extreme base station (just recently updated to 7.6 firmware).
Any thoughts... hints... suggestions?
One final note: this Mac mini is new as of July 2011; just days before the latest generation of Mac mini came out. It came pre-installed with Snow Leopard and, as soon as the users of this mini find software replacements for the old PPC style applicaitons they're used to using, will be upgraded to Lion. However, I feel a bit unsettled in making the move to Lion if I can't get a Snow Leopard feature to work properly. There's no telling if the Lion upgrade will actually fix this behavior or make it worse.

I don't think you can wake on network with a closed lid. Try keeping the lid open and putting the machine to sleep. Does it work?

i will still research the subject. but the first thing that comes into my mind is t-code VA05. with this, you have the option to change the Plant en masse. so a possible workaround is for you to list a number of sales orders using VA05. you then sort the line items by Plant. choose all items with the same plant, change the plant via mass change... then change back to the original plant. hopefully, the new settings should apply.
do test a few sales orders by doing this for a larger scope.

We really shocked to see that hyphenation not working for Russian language, anyone faced this issue? Please let us know how to rectify this issue since we need to complete one of the project with Russian language.

@Kasyan: Thanks for the response, I'm using 5.5 and facing this issue while select the language 'Russian' no where found the hyphens and in most of the places looks loose line due to missing of hyphens.
Could please confirm again?
