Smartform or BSP HTML Emails in Outlook 2007

Hello,
we create different HTML e-mails based on smartforms or BSP. Everything looks as it should with <b>Outlook 2003</b>. But if you send the same mails to user with <b>Outlook 2007</b>, no formats, boxes and colors are visible anymore.
Does anyone has an idea what we could do to make it suitable for Outlook 2003 and 2007?

There isn't a very good solution unless there are some recent updates. I've answered on this before. In 2007, Microsoft chanegd the HTML rendering engine to Word. There is very limited support for HTML and CSS in Word's engine. You can Google it or go to MSDN to read more about it. I haven't looked for a better solution because 99% of our user community is still using 2003 though that will change soon. We're actually considering dumping Microsoft altogether and switching to Google Apps.

Don't use Outlook or Outlook Express for this.
My recommendation is the same as Joe's. Either use a dedicated bulk email software or a bulk email service like MailChimp, etc...
If your list is especially large, and you attempt to send to a volume that's prohibited by your server or email service provider, you could be in violation of their anti-spamming rules. You don't want that.

OT: Fixing HTML Email in Outlook 2010

Beyond all understanding, MS has confirmed that they plan to use Word's rendering engine for HTML email in Outlook 2010. It's still in beta, and Microsoft supposedly wants our feedback. A site has been set up to help Microsoft understand that a great many of us think this is a rather foolish decision.

I am not able to transfer emails from outlook 2007 in Windows 8 to outlook 2011 in Mac. I export .pst file to my hard drive from win 8 and then import in outlook 11 in mac, the folders including subfolders are created but there are hardly one email

Smartform sent as html email is displaying as text in MS Outlook

I'm working on an offline approval form in SRM 7.0 and created a smartform as a body of the email. I configured it to be an HTML message but when I retrieved the email in my inbox, the email is text based. Please help. Thanks.

You are correct it is an outlook issue this is what we received from SAP
Sadly the problem isn't a SAP-specific problem but a general problem
with Microsoft Outlook 2007. Instead of using Internet Explorer as
HTML-Renderer Microsoft chose Word 2007 for various reasons. Because of
this Outlook 2007 isn't downward-compatible to Outlook 2003 and can't
show many of the formerly possible HTML-tags

I am a Mac user and only know how to send an HTML email from
Entourage. How do I send an HTML email created in Dreamweaver from
a PC that uses Microsoft Outlook?

It's tricky in Outlook (Outlook Express lets you actually
edit the code directly if I recall correctly). But one clunky way
to do it regular Outlooks is to display your HTML page in your
browser. Not the source code, the resulting display page in a
normal browser window. Select all, copy, then paste into your HTML
format message in Outlook.
Keep in mind if you're sending this to more than 50 people or
so you stand a real good chance of getting that domain/IP black
listed.

Send Email via Outlook 2007 with "send to field" blank.

I have a simple question:
- How do I get the user's Outlook 2007 "New Email Message" box to open up when the user clicks on a button called "Send Email"?
- Outlook is the default Email client on each user
- I need the Outlook box to open, with the following values prefilled:
To: blank (so the user can type in an address)

Configuring email in Outlook 2007

I am trying to set up iCloud mail on Outlook 2007. After you select Tool > Account Settings in Outlook 2007, click the email tab and click New per set up instructions, there is no "Manually configure server settings or additional server types" box to click.

This is also happening to me. It has happened on several occasions and seems to clear after a day or so. This is so annoying. I have seen this issued raisedby several other people so a common problem. Hopefully BT will sort this out.

Some question to help narrowing down the causes:
1. Does this issue occur when using Outlook to configure the Gmail account, does the format change?
2. Does this issue also occur when sending HTML emails to other remote domains?
If the emails is fine when opening them on Outlook, it think Exchange does not change anything on the email. The issue occurs depends on how email clients open the email.

Transferring Email from Outlook 2007 to a new iMac running Leopard

I previously decided to make the jump from Windows Vista Ultimate to a new iMac several months ago and was just waiting for the release of Leopard. It was my understanding that the transfer would be seamless. But I recently read an article by Walt Mossberg that appeared to indicate that you cannot transfer email files from Outlook 2007 to the iMac's email program. Does anyone know if this is true or not? I need to have all of my old email folders. I DO NOT want to have to buy and install a Microsoft operating system to make this work either. This is a deal killer for me if I cannot have my old emails available.

Cant receive email using outlook 2007

I downloaded outlook 2007 and its not working correctly.
I am able to send out emails, but I cant receive anything back.
I have the latest outlook connector (

Hmm as far as I remember this is not the last version of the connector out there, please check on metalink, I'm currently runing a .9 version (and I'm only using outlook for testing purpose, so I could also be outdated !)

One of your settings is not set correctly. Go slowly, and check every setting.
Which browser/ version are you using? Have you cleared your browser cache?

Bt email in outlook 2007

i have outlook 2007 and i use my @btinternet.com through this. all settings are correct but occasianally it will keep asking for my password and lock me out untill i leave it (anything from 5mins - 5hours). sometimes when it asks for a password i just click ok and it works. "this happens when i click send and recieve".

E63 and incoming email sync (outlook 2007)

Hi everyone,
I checked the topics but I didn't get the answer so I open a new one.
I just wonder if it is feasible to get the emails in outlook incoming email folder in my E63.
Nokia Pc Suite let me sync some outlook folders (contacts, tasks...) but incoming email is not an option. I read in Nokia Pc Suite sync page that some models can not sync some folders. Is this the case?
Please let me know, I was used with a Treo (Palm), and all the folders of outlook in it.
any alternative tips are welcome as well.

If you have an Exchange server running, you can. Otherwise the're is no way of syncing E63 e-mail with Outlook.

Can't sync multiple emails from Outlook 2007 into Iphone

It only listed the main (usually work) email, and does not transfer the home and other emails from Outlook. I can manually enter a second email and label it on the iphone, but that is not helpful as I have hundreds of business/friends with multiple emails in my Outlook... it does get home and work addresses...

The workaround is to use Cached Exchange Mode or "Shift + Delete", as the user doesn't want to delete the message permanently, using Cached Exchange Mode is preferred.
Based on my research, this issue is more Exchange 2010 related, and you mentioned the user also got the error from Outlook Web Access. This issue occurs after Exchange 2010 Service Pack 2 RU6 or Exchange 2010 Service Pack 3 is installed.
To resolve this issue, install the following update rollup:
