Smartform Text Missing - URGENT

Hai All,
I am Farooq, just started as ABAPer in TULIP IT, Delhi. SAP is just implemented in this company & there is some problem in SMARTFORMS. The Problem is that there are 13 items in the Order, & 11th items' description is missing in that order (invoice). So PLEASEee.. help. Its URGENT.

Hi Farooq,
Please check if the description is available in the database table from where you are selecting it. It might not be maintained there and hence would not be printing.

How to dynamically replace variables in SMARTFORM texts based on item data?

Hi experts,
I'm currently designing a confirmation of order using Adobe PDF forms. The general layout with tables, pictures and texts was not big deal.
But one tiny bit doesn't work and I'm becoming more and more desperate about it.
We need various free texts for our pdf form. I created the texts using smartform texts. Some of these texts need to be slightly dynamic, so I added some dynamic fields in it.
For example:
"The material is currently out of stock.You can expect shipping around week &num_week&."
To replace the dynamic field &num_week& in my interface, I read that I have to name the dynamic field exactly like the corresponding field in my interface. In my case this would be now:
"The material is currently out of stock.You can expect shipping around week &SLS_PRT_COM-ITEM_DETAIL-ZZ_EXTRAFIELDS-ZZWEEKNUM&."
To see the text on my form, I added a text object with type 'text module' and the proper textname. Of course I'm able to insert text on my form, save and activate it without problems. But if I want to print the form, nothing happens as the print program exits with an error code.
After some hours I found out that this problem only occurs if I'm trying to replace the dynamic field with a field from the item table. Using a field from head details or globals like sy-mandt works like a charm.
So my question is: Is it possible to use item data to replace dynamic fields of a smartform text?

Email printed to PDF, PDF appears accurate in Acrobat XI Pro, when PDF printed to paper text missing

HELP!!!
I have text disappear from Outlook emails printed to PDF when I print the PDF files from Acrobat XI Pro to a printer.
Here is a sample png from the PDF file printed out of Outlook - all the text is showing.
However when I print the PDF from Acrobat to a printer, the document comes out of the printer with text missing as shown:
The Acrobat print window shows all of the text that should be there as does Acrobat's view of the document.
Also, if I save the file to an image, all of the text is there.
I have tried different emails as well as different printers and the paper printed copies of the PDF emails are always missing text.
Additionally I have tried coverting the PDF file to a PDF/A file and printing that and the same problems occur.
Please send some tips as to how I can fix this!

i am having similar printing issues with Acrobat 10.1.4.
in my case both PDFs made by me (from InDesign files) and other PDFs made elsewhere and sent to me are missing text when printed to paper -though they look fine both on-screen and in the preview pane, as Katy noted above.
these PDFs print fine when i open and print from an older version of Acrobat (9.5.2).
they will also print fine from 10.1.4 if i send them to another printer in the office, (a Dell Color Laser 3110cn), the printer i have a problem with is a Kyocera Mita KM-5053 - which leads me to believe that this is some kind of communication error between Adobe Acrobat Pro 10.1.4 and this printer, or perhaps a driver issue. ?
I don't believe it's merely a preferences/print settings problem as i've gone pretty carefully through all the dialog boxes that seem relevant and have had no luck in solving the problem. Also, the text that's missing seems arbitraty - meaning, it's not merely hyperlinks or certain layers or text in specific type faces that won't print -it's content in the same text box, where other text does print, and it's blacks and colors and various point sizes - in short there are no easily discernable unifying circumstances among the text that does not print.
obvioulsy an easy work around is to just print to the other printer or use the older version of Acrobat, but my concern is more that other people may be experiencing the same issues with PDFs i send them. so if it is a problem in the way i'm generating PDFs (although, as i said, text is also missing from PDFs i have received from other people and printed) i'd like to fix it quickly, so that people trying to print my PDFs don't end up with critical content missing.
i'm on a 2008 MacBook Pro running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5, and using the Acrobat (X Pro v 10.1.4) that came with the CS6 Design & Web Premium package - although i'm looking at it online now and it's listed as Acrobat XI Pro..
any input you have would be much appreciated.

Why is some of the text missing on the right side of a page I send to my printer?

I came across something similar recently where it printed the left hand side only!
If I want to print an email, instead of File > Print ( does not print properly ) I click on the print icon on my email webpage ( do not use applemail and access gmail direct) which then takes me to print preview showing the complete email which prints ok.
Some webpages ( File>Print) do not print properly and some do. Those that do not generally have their own printer icon (path) that needs to be clicked on.
Maybe something to do with encryption but don't know.

Making email/text/missed call symbols show when the iphone screen is asleep

Hi,
So I purchased my first ever iphone on the weekend - the new 3G S. All very exciting. One thing I haven't quite worked out is whether it is possible to have the phone show me that I have mail/text/missed calls when the screen is asleep. Is this possible?
With Nokias and Sony Ericsson's when the screen is asleep and blacked out, you can still see a pic of an envelope etc to let you know there is something waiting for you like a text. Is this possible with the iphone and if so how?
Alternatively if there is an app that will do this, could you let me know what that is called so I can download it please?

This is not possible with the current iPhone and version 3.0 software. There are no apps available either that will wake the iPhone up and activate the screen to provide you information. Hopefully this'll come in some furure software update.

ITunes 12 - App update text missing

I'm running Yosemite and iTunes 12.0.1.26 on a Macbook 13" Retina.
Since upgrading to itunes 12+, the text that describes the update to any particular app is missing. Here's an example:

Smartform text modules client independent...

Hi Guys,
Are smartform text modules also client independent ?
If I do some change in text modules in one client its not getting reflected in other. Can someone tell me why ?

As Phani and Rich mentioned Text module are client dependent similar to smartforms. You have to transport from one client to another.

SE63: Smartform Text translations Issue.

I am working on ECC 5.0 for the first time and having a weird issue with Smartform text translations using SE63. After saving the text translations using SE63, When I change & activate the smartform tranlations are gone.
Can someone please throw some light on this issue?

Hi Rajesh,
Maintain the translations.Then go to smartforms transaction in that particular language's login. Type the name of smartform and from top menu,click
<b>Smartforms-->Generate</b>. If ur translations are correctly mentained,then it will get generated successfully.Then when u again activate ur smartform u will not lose ur translations.
But if u change any particular window and activate ur smartform then also u will lose translations for that particular window.In that case u hav to maintain once again,the translations.

*Some Text Missing* Nokia 6288

Hey, whenever my mobile tries to receive large messages (I guess they're messages spanning over 160 characters?) I get the *some text missing* phrase along with the last part of the message (normally only a few characters/words).
I was just wondering if there's anything I can do to solve this? If I text the sender back telling them I only got half the text, as soon as they send a new 1 to me the first half of the original message arrives. Obviously this is a great hassle, and a waste of a text for me and the sender, is there any other way to combat this problem?

This happened when there's not enough memory left for the message that it receives. The main memory of the phone is always use in this process(it is shared with other program too); so to get multipage(span more that 160 chars) text messages successfully in which the latest Nokia phone models is capable of, one must free the main memory as much as possible. Transfer or archives your text message to external memory.
Service provider considered one text message if it does not exceed the 160 character limit. If it does, it considered it as a multi-text, and billed likeless. It send it in series of succession depending how busy the network.

I think it is related to viewing video or clips.....

Well, if you're using Chrome, or Firefox go here this should also work with Safari. It will let you know if Flash is already installed in your browser. If your using Chrome it should have been intergrated. Were you able to get Flash installed so you can view video clips? Post back to let us know. Hope this helps. Also install Perian. See if that helps as well.

Hello All,
In my main window I have text in which I have to display 3 fields material description, quantity, unit. Currently it displays like this:
A 10 EA
B 12 EA
C 13 EA
D 10 EA
E 10 EA
But I want to display it like this:
A 10 EA B 12 EA
C 13 EA D 10 EA
E 10 EA
how to do this???
Give me solutions for this.

This was exactly similar to one of requirement but this is not possible directly ...
But ill can tell you what i did create a table inside the main window of structure
material description, quantity, unit , material description, quantity, unit....
Now if it is odd numbered record fill the first half fill the header line of the table and if it is even numbered record fill the 2nd half of the geadr line and finally appedn this to the tabel.
Now use this tabel as the normal final internal table this will satisfy ur requirement

then i have program lines
iam writing any perform statment insted iam write the code in here
input paramters wa_itab-id
output paramters id
i declared id type zabc-id under global data in global definations
CLEAR : ID.
ON CHANGE OF WA_itab-ID.
*BREAK point.
ID = WA_ITab-iD.
ENDON.
after the program lines i have a text

&wa_itab-matnr& &wa_itab-werks&
now i see the output

I checked my code if two items have same id the id has no value and you can see the output also
but for some reason its still goinng into the if condition
And also is there away that i can debugg my text elements like in scripts. my break point doesn't take me to the text elements

1. Move only the ID into one internal table say i_id,
2. Now in your smartform, create a table and loop at i_id into wa_id.
3.Print your ID in a text, &wa_id-id&
3. Now in main area of the table Create a loop with the internal table you mentioned above with 3 elements, say, i_data into wa_data give CONDITION as wa_data-id = wa_id-id.
4. Print your other values &wa_data-matnr& &wa_data-werks&
5. outside main area, clear the work areas.
This should work fine as i use the same logic in one of my current developments!!!
