Smartforms - Center Alignment in the cell

Hi
I have defined a label in the following format using Smartforms...
All the variables are contained within a template, which is in a loop
I see that the texts which are right to the bar code are coming at the top right corner..

How can I get them to right center alignment like the following image...

Hi Grame,
You can create the 2 windows ,. one for bar code and another for that text.
Overlapp those wondows so that the text window will come at the place where u want.
Try if this is working.

Vertical Alignment in the cell of a ALV webdynpro

HI Experts,
As per my requirement i have created an ALV in webdynpro, which has several columns few of the columns have check boxes and few have input fields.
Now, if I look at my ALV output i observed in the cell which are input fields all the data is bottom aligned but in the other cells the check boxes are top aligned . ( The vertical alignment i am talking about is with respect to each cell ).
I didnot fins any property either in the ALV or as even in a ordinary table where i can play around with the vertical alignment in a cell.
Do you think we can change the alignment in cell of a ALV? if so how?

How to center align request Title

The deafult for the request title is left. Is there a way to center align? The only way I was able to achieve this was to indent left and right padding under additional formatting options. Cell Horizontal alignment does not do anything

What you have to do is, while in the Compound Layout view, click on the middle icon, the one that looks like a pencil. In other words, you have to go to the design editor of the Title View.
Here is where you find another "A" to the right of where the title field is. Click it and change the horizontsl alignment there. That will center your title.

Center-align created pattern swatch

When creating patterns with for example very easy dimensions like the artboard 400 x 400 px etc, and everything right placed, as you can see on the print screens, after having created the pattern, it never aligns center-aligned like I would like it too. Very annoying.

You're right. So far so good, but this still doesn't help me getting a nice pattern centered on the artboard?
The image here is an example of the actual pattern I would like to use The smaller image is a print screen of the actual composition of elements in Illustrator which I made the pattern of.
Is there an easy solution for this?

How to get my_text in the CENTER aligned on my_form?

I put a text field (say, its name is 'my_field' 80 characters length) WITH OUT caption and NONE appearence (not Solid box, no Sunken box).
And i am populating/filling this field with some value PROGRAMATICALLY. Pre-Populating value is vary in its lenght.
For example in 1st case, i am pre-populating this my_field with 'AAAAAAAAAAAAA'
In some other case, i am pre-populating this my_field with 'AAAA'
In some other case, i am pre-populating this my_field with 'AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA'
Fine.
But i want print this text/value IN THE CENTER all the time / all cases, no matter How much lenghts's value i am populating, i mean, it shuld come CENTER in the micro soft word
Pls. let me know how to get this formatting as CENTER ALIGNMENT

You probably need to set the Align property of the Text field at design time..
Select the Text Field and then in the Text formatting toolbar, choose the Align Center option to have the text displayed always in the center.

Try the following code (I removed the template markup from the page, so I could work with it). The page is now centered, however, there are areas that really need fixing to correct various elements that just don't sit right. The main problem is the use of AP Divs for a layout - as already explained by Gary. AP divs (or layers) should not be used unless you understand the pitfalls that may be associated with their use.

Just another suggestion, that blinking text in the left sidebar is so 1990's :-) and does not really add any value to the page, except as a distraction. People will keeping that text blink and not be able to concentrate on the actual content you are tryng to provide. (seriously !).
Anyway here's the code to center the page, but you will need some refinement to make the whole page more cohesive.

Creating table, two cells side by side but alignment in one cell throws off the other!

I have a website that I am trying to display a table with two columns side by side and one column at the bottom.
so I use the following:

My problem is that I can't get the alignment to work right wit the first two <td> columsn that are side by side. i put text in both and an image but it doens't align properly even without the image. Every time press <return> it adjust the alignment in the other column. as you can see below, it doesn't align correctly. I can't get it to work right. images don't align, button doens't align, and the text on top doesn't align either.
If I press <return> in the right column at the bottom, then it moves the left column down and still doesn't align (auugh!)

Tables work that way, that's why CSS styling is preferred for layouts.

If you must use tables, try nesting tables inside cells of an outer table .

Does SSRS dynamically set the alignment of table cells based on the majority of cell types in the column???

This is the first time I've run into this, but it appears that SSRS is setting the text-align based on the other cells in the column. I have cells being set with either a dataset item of type System.Double or to "--" when Is Nothing evaluates
to true. I never noticed before that if the majority of the cells in the column are Nothing, then the few that aren't Nothing get aligned to the left along with all of the "--" text items. And now I also see columns where the opposite
is also happening, where if the majority of the cells in the column are numeric values, then everything is aligned right, even the few "--" items there. I'm only using Default TextAlign and VerticalAlign, and no Indent, SpaceAfter or SpaceBefore,
nor any concatenated text or embedded preserved spaces.
Has anyone else in the SSRS universe seen this, and does anyone know why or have a good workaround for it?

How to center chars inside of cells of the comb field (text field)?

I'm working on preparation of the legal form for tax return. Due to sophisticated form structure and customer's demand to prepare return of enourmous size (more than thusand pages) I decided to remake obsolete form using "comb of" option in order to reduce size of the source and prevent memory allocation issues on customer side.
[Issue details]
Legal requirement is to have typeface Courier New 16pt-18pt and cells of the certain size.
This is how the form provided by tax authorities looks like:
Here you can see that chars are somehow centered inside of the cells but when I create comb in my livecycle designer it is not the case and I have different layout:
Look how letters are placed inside of the cells. After some research I've found out that there is a left margin which always exists in every cell of the comb, most probably triggered by the border. Tried to edit XML source but didn't achieve any significant success. The issue is not caused by the narrowness of the cells and reproductible even with extra wide ones.

Everything is centered and it is a behaviour I supposed to see.
Are there any possible solutions how to place chars at center of the cells?

It's the font that you are using that causes the problem.
I found it weird, your problem, so I quickly made a form with a text field with a comb. I did not have the problem.
So I took your snippet and added it to my form, then I have the same problem. You are using Courier New, a font that has the same width for all characters. I don't know why the problem is there as for me it should be in the center as with all other fonts. I would report this as a bug to support.
I know it's not a solution for you, but that seems to be the root of the problem. Maybe you can look for another font, similar to Courier New, but that does not have a fixed width. I looked it up and it appears that there's a font called Hellschreiber, that uses the same letterforms, but is proportional. The font is not freely downloadable, so I cannot test for the moment. Another page says this: "There is a proportional font that kinda looks like Courier. It is called American Typewriter. " Again, I have not tested.
Hellschreiber Serif is a proportional typeface using Courier letterforms as a basis.

Smartform Alignment for the PDS(Personal Data Sheet) for Japanese Language

Hi,
I have a Probelm in the alignment in the smartform for the Personal data sheet report when logon in
Japanese language.
The texst are Overlapping.
For example:
I have 2 columns in the PDS such as Postion title and Job title.
The texts in the Postion title is Overlapping into the Jobtitle and So on.
And the issue is happening only when i log onto Japanese Language(JA) where as for other languages
the texts are not overlapping.
Could anybody help me in solving the issue.

Japanese characters usually occupy duble byte space, that is a single japanese character will occupy the space of 'AB',
so what you can do is,
change the layout of the Screen (make the window larger),
you can split the text and write it in two lines (if your team agrees)
you will have to create a seperate Smartform for Japanese Language
you can try condensing the text &test(C)& for certain texts it might work

Some of the pivot table header column not center-aligned

I've dragged a pivot table model from Data Controls. The generated pivot table on page does not display some of the header columns center-aligned. I tried to set a css style in HeaderFormat listener for the columns, but it did not work. I checked the html source code and found the problem was caused by "colspan" not created properly. I'd like to know how pivot table header columns are created, anyone who knows please kindly give some tips,thanks!

Try setting the Header Row to allow to repeat. I've had to set that Repeat option to get things to break over pages correctly.

Align TransparentContainer to the center position of the browser

Hi there,
i would like to align my TransparentContainer to the center position of the horizontal point of view and to the the middle poition of the vertical point of view. I tried everything but nothing really worked. Maybe anybody of you has a good advice for me.

There is a button on the toolbar using which you can center the entire BPM config.
I don't remeber the icon and I am not infront of the system. But you should be able figure that out.
I think its the 5th one from the left hand side, the one on the left hand side of 1:1 icon.

but when I select two objects and click the vertical align button they snap to an invisible horizontal line
This is (almost) identical to:
Because (the centres of) vertically aligned objects will be on the same horizontal level/line.
And that is just one way of expressing what vertical alignment means. Here are a few others:
Their centres have the same height,
Their centres have the same Y value on the Artboard/Workspace,
In all cases, you can draw a horizontal line through their centres.
Mathematically, Y = C (Y is a constant value C) is the equation for a horizontal line.
