Smartforms duplex (landscape) issue

Hi All,
I've develop new smartforms for goods receipt .
PAGES         PRINT CONTROL            NEXT PAGE
PAGE1                 --  D                             PAGE2
PAGE2               -
                          PAGE1
And for PAGE1 capacity only 10 item lines , and in every GR we found more than 10 item lines.
So my scenario like that i ve to print PAGE1 with 10 lines and back-back PAGE2 then next 10 lines again and back to back  PAGE2. But because of PAGE2 next page PAGE1 after all completion it give one more page with headings only (blank page).
So assist me how to sort out this DUPLEX issue.

Dear Madhuri,
Try this out,
1. set the CONTRACT_OFFER next page attribute to CONTRACT_OFFER itself. So evenif the contract_offer main window goes beyond the first page, the same page type will be triggered.
2. Now at the point where your contract_offer related  information ends in th main window and before the checklist related information starts, use a command node to dynamically set the next page attribute to CHECK_LIST. So at  this point the CHECK_LIST page will be triggered and the CONTRACT data since it is over will not be displayed.
3. If check_list information also spans multiple pages then set the next page attribute for check_list page to check_list itself.

  • Smartforms in Landscape mode not working on page two

    Hi Everybody,
I am facing a rather special issue with Smartforms about Landscape printing and I'm out of solution. I've looked at other threads but I cannot find the correct solution to my issue.
I defined only 1 page in my form. It is set with DINA4 and Landscape orientation. The printing works fine for the first page but when my report has a second page it is printed in Portrait mode. The print preview displays all pages in Landscape but when they are physically printed, the second page is Portrait.
I manually calculate the number of lines to print in a loop and change page with a Command Node. Before starting printing each page I execute a Command Node to force the Landscape orientation (SLAND).
I use the LOCL printer to print my report.
Is there any other set up to do? In SPAD, in the ABAP program or physically on the printer or else?
    Thank you for your answers.
    Best regards,
    Sylvain

    Hi Aidan,
Thank you for your answer and sorry for the late reply but it took a while to find the exact problem and implement it in productive system.
The problem was related the LOCL printer definition in SPAD but it was linked to "Host Spool Access Method" parameter.
It was set to "Print on Front End Computer (F)" but this value is not supported by SAP anymore. We had to set it to "Front End Printing with Control Tech. (G)".
The reports are now printed in Landscape orientation correctly.
Thank you again for your support.
    Best regards,
    Sylvain

  • Can anyone help me troubleshoot duplex printing issue to Xerox 8560?

  • Duplex printing issues with landscape orientation

I have read through all of the previous questions, and can't seem to resolve my problem here.
I am using Acrobat 8 Professional (8.2.2).  I have created a PDF from a Powerpoint presentation.  I need to be able to send this to someone else and have them view it on screen with the correct orientation, and also duplex print it correctly, as all of our company printers default to duplex printing (to save paper).  However, since the person who prints it is going to staple it in the upper left hand corner, it really needs to be duplexed to open along the left edge (the short edge of the paper).
When I first bring up the print screen the document has the incorrect orientation; i.e. it shows a thumbnail of an 8.5 x 11" page in portrait orientation, and my content is reduced in size to fit the 8.5 width.  I think this is really the issue at hand--for some reason, even though the page is set up in Powerpoint as a 8.5x11 landscape oriented document, when it exports to the PDF format, that orientation doesn't hold.
Anyway, it seems that no matter what settings I try to adjust, it doesn't seem to work.  I have toggled "Auto-Rotate and Center," I have toggled the duplex settings in the PDF document properties.  I have toggled the duplex print settings on my printer driver between "Open to Left" and "Open to Top."  None of it seems to make any difference in the final printout--basically what comes out of my printer is a document that is rotated to print out as if it was a portrait page, and is bound on the left edge (so each second page is printed upside down, when I am looking at it in landscape orientation).
The only work-arounds I can think of would be to rotate every other page in the PDF so that when it printed it printed correctly.  However, then the PDF would not be readable on the screen.  I could generate two separate versions of the PDF, one marked for print, and the other for viewing--but that is a real waste.
Does anyone have any suggestions here?  I am looking for a way either to get the PDF software to "understand" that this document is a landscape document from the get-go (then it SHOULD work to duplex print correctly with the "Open to Left" setting), or maybe create a custom print setting for this document that allows me to rotate every other page as it is printed, but that doesn't rotate the pages on the screen.
I hope this is all clear...and that someone can offer some advice.
    Thanks!
    Melise
P.S.  Just in case it makes any difference, I am running Windows XP Professional and am using the Microsoft Office 2007 software package.  Because the company has multiple different printers throughout the company, I need a solution that will work without regards to the specific printer driver.

I am having the exact same issue.  The setting of "Auto-Rotate and Center" has no affect.
Do I have to rotate the odd pages 180 so they are upside down in the PDF, but print correctly?
I am using Acrobat 9 Pro V. 9.3.3 in Win 7 Pro 64, to HP CP6015XH (colour laser).

  • Upgraded to CS5 and duplex landscape printing if way off

Since upgrading to Indesign CS5 from actually CS2, I cannot get landscape duplex printing to align properly (centered as it is on screen). I have troubleshooted the Print Setup dialog box to death and nothing fixes this issue. I've tried Centered, Centered Vertically, Centered Horizontally, I've tried to scale down to fit, nothing works properly. I've gone through and checked the Printer... options as well and nothing seems amiss there either. Why would updating from a previous version mess with the printer alignment?
I made a brand new 8.5x11 document with 2 pages with .25" margins all the way around which is my printer's smallest margin setting (Xerox 8560DN). I then simply drew a box around the entire document right along the margins on both sides.
When I print it, the front side is shifted over to the left so it prints 5/32 of an inch from the edge and the right margin is 11/32 from the edge. The back side is a bit less shifted to left with 7/32 and 9/32 margins.
I then tried printing a sheet that is in portrait mode and this comes a bit closer to with both sides off at the 7/32 and 9/32 margins.
I really need help figuring this out. The document that I need printed has a perforation going down the center and is folded so these margin differences are really skewing the print outs.
    Thanks!
    Christi
Update: I tried exporting it as a PDF and making sure Shrink to fit option was NOT selected and it still prints with the same issues. Darn, I was hoping that would solve it.

I've been doing more troubleshooting since I wrote this post. I've now tried printing from a non-Adobe app and I'm getting the same margin error. So it is definitely a Xerox issue and I have a tech coming out on Monday.
The reason I originally figured it must be an CS5 issue is because just two weeks ago when I was using CS2, our landscape-oriented programs were printing with .25" margins as they should. Then last week after upgrading to CS5, the inside page (2nd page) was noticeably out of whack and shifted to the right (not left). But when I started trying to troubleshoot this week, everything started shifting to the left.
The only thing different between those two weeks was the fact I updated to CS5.
But obviously, my printer as decided to go to crap in more ways than one all in a two week period. Hopefully the tech can sort it out next Monday.
    Thanks!

  • Problem in smartforms - Duplex printing

    Hi,
I am trying to use a smartform for duplex printing of pages.I have the following pages.
FIRST and OTHER are pages with the same main window
I have also created pages BACK and LAST which is used to print on the reverse page.
Page  ->         Next page   ->   Mode           ->     Printmode
    FIRST  ->      BACK     ->        Initialise counter      ->     D  ( Duplex )
BACK   ->     OTHER      ->       Increase counter     ->      Blank
    OTHER  ->    BACK     ->      Counter unchanged ->      D
I have created a command in MAIN window to call the LAST page
LAST  ->     blank     ->   Counter unchanged         -> blank
I tried to print a document with 8 pages ( ie., 4 front page and 4 back page ) in a duplex printer.
Pages 3- 8 are printing fine with print on both sides. But page 1 and page 2 are getting printed in different pages.  Any idea what is the issue with the first 2 pages?
    Thanks and Regards
    Suba

    Hi Suba,
when ever we want to print back side of a page, we need to assign "D" for the
page we wanted to print on back side.
for ex: there r 2 pages, first page and second page .
          1) if we define "D" for first page then it will print second page on back of first
              page.
          2) if we define "D" for both, then second page will start from new page(won't
print on back side of first), but it can print second page both sides.
in ur case,u defined FIRST and BACK pages as "D", but OTHER as default.
so remove Page mode "D" for BACK page.
      hope this solves the problem.
    Thanks
    Dinakar.

  • Smartform error while issue printpreview in billing

    Hello SAP Consultant...
Problem: "Graphic cannot be displayed" while choose output type and print preview in billing VF03.
What I did: I developed one invoice smartform in development and transport to production, working properly.By mistake i deleted development smartform.so i download XML format from PRD system and upload to DEV system. But this downloaded XML form cannot run in DEV system.
Please give way to solve my problem....as quick as possible

I hope from SE78 you have not deleted the graphic.
If it is not deleted then it should show you in your smartform, if you have deleted then b'coz of that you might be getting this error as it may be unavailable.
Secondly, there is nothing related with Smartstyles concept with displaying graphic.
Try to give the correct Graphic name in smartform.
Hopefully, your issue will be resolved. Else, download the graphic from your prd and upload here....
Chk the name of the graphic which you have given in PRD is same as that in PRD SE78.
    Compare it with DEV.
Chk the name of the graphic which you have in quality with DEV .
    Hope your issue resolves.
    Thanks,

  • Page Protection in Main window of smartform using Folder issue

    Hi Experts,
We can fix the page protection issue of records in main window by checking the No Page Break check box at the line type level in a smartform.
I tried to solve this issue by using the folder option. I created a folder inside the table of a main window and checked the page protection check box. Save and activated the layout. When i tried to add the table to the folder, the check box for page protection was reset to blank.
Why does this happen? Cant we use page protection inside main window using folder ??
    Thanks

    Hi friend,
We can do page protection functionality inside table of main window using Folders option. Follow the below steps,
    1. Assume rows are created inside table in a main window, with corresponding line types.
    2. Create a folder named PROTECT inside table, for example in Main area of table.
    3. Just drag and drop your Row(s) into folder PROTECT and simply click page protection check box of the folder PROTECT.
    4. This will help you to add the required functionality using Folders option in smartform.
Try this and update me in case of any concerns. Hope this will solve your problem.
Check the attachment also for your reference.
    Cheers...

  • Smartform font spacing Issue when using SAP printer name

    Hi Friends,
I am facing some spacing issues when printing a form using SAP printer name. If I use LOCL then the output comes perfectly but when I use the SAP printer name the space between characters are getting widened and so the alignment of each column goes wayward. I suspect it could be due to the device type but not sure which seeting controls this. There is a similar problem in the logo as well. When using LOCL the logo comes out good but when using the printer name the quality is not good and becomes pixelised. Have any of you faced similar issues? Can you provide some guidance or pointers for the solution.
Device type of LOCL : ZSAPWIN
Device type of SAP printer name :  ZHPLJ5
CPI is defined in smartform as 10.
Please let me know if you need more information.
    Thanks,
    Praveen

    Hi,
This problem occurs because the printer driver for both the printers are different,
I suggest you use Local printer only or configure any other printer with printer diver in SAP as SAPWIN.
    Regards,
    Bharat.

  • Smartform - Command Node Issue

    Hi Super-Techies,
I am facing a strange issue in smartform. When I am using a command node to trigger a page, in the main window 1 table needs to get triggered (but it si not triggering). When I try to print the same table without any command node (i.e. in the same page) its working fine and the table data is being displayed.
But when I make use of command node to trigger to new page, All other windows are getting executed except the main window table.
Note; I have made use of 2 tables in main window. Normally 1st table should print, once new page is triggered, 2nd table should print and not the 1st one.
Can anyone help me out of this strange issue.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Vinit

    Hi Vinit ,
In order to print data you require upon using command node , you need to display it on a secondary window.
    Steps :
    1) create secondary window .
    2) provide table n related details .
    3) u need not have a main window (optional) ;as data in main window won't be displayed.
This is the way I resolved the same issue .Hope it helps .
    Thanks & regards,

  • Smartform Printing Tray issue

    Hi,
I have an issue for printing multiple tray. My req is first page nneds to print from TRAY 02 and the second page from Tray 03.
I configured in the smartform PAGE01 - Output options- Resource name - TRY02 and
                                              PAGE02 - Output options- Resource name - TRY03
But both the pages printing for the same tray. like tray02.
Aprat from the resource declaration anything need to do for this?
    Please guide me any one.
    Thanks in advance.
    Vijay.

    Hello,
Is it a frontend printing? Which device type is used?
In recent SAPGUI patches, it is possible to map the tray ids via the
Frontend Options Editor/ tab 'Printer Tray Selection'.
(see KBA 1704243 about how to access the Frontend Options Editor)
    Please test the following:
Select the printer model and in "Paper Trays", select "Tray 1",
in the field "SAP ID" enter the value: 1
    and,
select "Tray 2", in the field "SAP ID" enter the value: 2
Do the same for Tray 3, 4...
After this, please restart SAPGUI and test the printing.

  • Smartform duplex printing with tray resource

    Hi All,
I am trying to set duplex printing from smartform. It works well only when I do not pass tray information in the Page output options. If I pass the resource name then I can't get the duplex printing to work. Is it possible to do both of them together? Please advice.
    Thanks.
Edited by: Sat R on Jan 20, 2011 8:54 PM

I was able to get the duplex working by having tray resource only on the first page and keeping it clear on the next page.

  • BrowseForImage() Portrait Landscape issues

    Building with Air2.6
    Using Adobe's example
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/actionscript/3/flash/media/CameraRoll. html
I have a landscape app and when I call browseForImage() the image browser always comes up in portrait mode.
            <fullScreen>true</fullScreen>
            <autoOrients>false</autoOrients>
            <aspectRatio>landscape</aspectRatio>
After selecting an image everything is still in landscape mode.  Is the cameraRoll browsing view supposed to be landscape if the app is in landscape?  I've tried setting autoOrients to true.  No change.
When loading in an image from camera roll, Portrait images always come in sideways.  This does not seem to matter if the aspectRatio is set to landscape or portrait.
Is there some programatic way to know if an image is portrait or not?  Looking at loader.content.width & height is out because the bitmap data is apparently always wider than it is tall.
Any one else having these issues?

Screenshots load just fine.  They are portrait but they don't come in sideways.  It appears to only happen to photos I take with the phone.  You are correct that iOS seems to know weather or not an image is portrait or not.
If this is just the way things are, I have no problem making a rotation feature, but I have no programatic way to know if an image is supposed to be portrait or not except by having a user looking at it.  It seems kinda lame to require the user to rotate the image after I load it in when iOS seems to already know how it should be oriented.  I mean it shows up oriented correctly in the CameraRoll view.  I just don't know why I'm not getting in the loader the same way.
