Smartforms : first page in landscape, others in portrait

Hi experts,
I have a problem with a Smartform printing. The first page is in landscape, as i have configured, but the others ones are in portrait.
I don't understand why. I have only one page in my Smartforms and i have put Landscape orientation.
Thanks

hi all,
I guess we can put this setting at the spool level by passing some attribute in the FM which is used to invoke Smartforms.
there will be a field for orientation which will help us in the same.
please let me know in case you dont find that.

  • Header on first page, not on others

    Hello,
Does anyone know how to get a header to appear on the first page of a document, but not on the rest?
Using section breaks, I can get the header to appear on all pages EXCEPT the first, but not the other way around. I've really played around w/ this and seem unable to figure it out.
    help.

Yes thanks, that was a good idea. What I'm using for a header is actually a graphic, but I was able to accomplish the spirit of your suggestion by selecting the graphic, then going to the Wrap Inspector and checking the 'Fixed on Page' button rather than 'Moves with Text', then moving the graphic to the top where I wanted it. One can even position it exactly using the Metrics Inspector.

  • Restrict window only on the first page of smartform

    Hi guys
Please tell me how to restrict the window so that it doesn't appear on the second page. it should appear only on first page.
I have check the additional events of the window. Even after that its appearing on second page .. how to restrict

    Hi,
You can do the following thing to restrict the window in the next page.
    1. Copy the first page with all the windows to PAGE2.
    2. Delete the window whihc u don't require in the 2nd or any next page (PAGE2).
    3. Assign 'Next Page' field value as % PAGE2  for PAGE1 & PAGE2 under the General attributes Tab.
These steps will help you retain a window only for the First page.

  • Smartform: Blank page gets Printed

    Hi All,
in my smart form i have two pages, Second page contains main window.
i have restricted my first page with some conditions , so that first page data will not be printed.
if i execute the smartform first page is printed blank without any data.
is there any option to avoid the blank page getting printed????
    Regards,
    Dinesh R

    Hi Dinesh,
One reason for getting a blank page is if the windows are overlapped in the page layout. Please check and see if any window is overlapping.
Else, check for "page break" . This is a check box . Once this is activated for a text or window or page, it directs you to a new page. Probably this might be the problem.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Prisford Pereira.

  • Display different header in the first page

I am displaying a table in the header (not an MS word header but header identified as something above <?start:body?> tag) of an rtf template. That table has 3 rows, I need to display one of those rows only in the first page and not in other pages.
I did not find any method on querying for the page number. So, I used a flag in the following manner: (Here, text with red color denotes RTF field). The following is what my RTF file looks like:
    Header 1
    Header 2
    Header 3
    init_field
This is the row to be shown on all the pages
    if_field
This row should only be shown on the first page.
    end_if change_variable
    <?start:body?>
    other stuff
    <?end body?>
    Where,
    init_field
    <?if: (xdoxslt:get_variable($_XDOCTX,'FLAG')!='NONFIRST')?><?xdoxslt:set_variable($_XDOCTX,'FLAG','FIRST')?><?end if?>
    if_field
    <?if: (xdoxslt:get_variable($_XDOCTX,'FLAG'))='FIRST'?>
    end_if
    <?end if?>
    change_variable
    <?xdoxslt:set_variable($_XDOCTX,'FLAG','NONFIRST')?>
BUT, I still see all the rows in all the pages. It seems like the value of variable 'FLAG' is not preserved between different pages. To me, it seems like, header is generated once and same header is used in all the pages

Not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for but why not just place the second line that needs to be on the first page only after the <?start:body?>
    Header 1
    Header 2
    Header 3
    init_field
This is the row to be shown on all the pages
    <?start:body?>
    if_field
This row should only be shown on the first page.
    end_if change_variable
    other stuff
    <?end body?>

  • How to print a table only on the first page BI Publisher report

    Hi,
I have a requirement to only print part of what is in the header on the first page only. It is a table. How can I do this in BI Publisher?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
better to ask a question about BI Publisher in BI Publisher Forum than here in Reports Forum.
You can create a template in your rtf wich you reference in your header. With BI Desktop in Winword you can use a different header for first page than the others.

  • Adobe Reader Printing first page miniature - rest fine

    Hi,
Currently running Reader 11.0.07 and am having a printing issue similar to the below known issue in Reader X.
"Xerox printers shrink page content to 1/10 or 1/20 of the original size, and print the content in the upper left part of the paper. This behavior occurs when both of these options are selected in the Print dialog box: Choose Paper Source By PDF Page Size and Use Custom Paper Size When Needed. [2392553]"
Is there any timeline for the issue to be resolved?

    Hi,
Additionally the driver being used is a KM C360 PS 3.6.0.0 and the Postscript pass through mode is enabled.
When testing and disabling the pass through mode of the driver being used (XC, FX, Lemark ....) the first page (also including mixed paper size) is rendered correctly for the entire document output.
Looking at the PS generated output for the KM driver in pass through mode has a difference between the prescript for the first page and any others following:
Example - First page A4 size generates the following.
    %%BeginPageSetup
    /ovlsetup [ 72 600 V 0 0 -72 600 V 12 830 ] def
    /tabsetup [ 72 600 V 0 0 -72 600 V 0 841 ] def

Note that the concat override is not specified (including matrix).
Removing this line "[1 0 0 -1 0 842 ]ct" allows the document to correctly render in the correct orientation but the scale and transform are not specified corectly.
Page 2 shows that an additional difference is made by Reader in pass through mode:
    8.33333 8.33333 scale
    -12 -12 translate
If replacing the first page prescript (above) with the following PS code the job correctly (Page 1):

    Adobe_CoolType_Core/pt get exec
    Adobe_AGM_Core/pt gx
    currentdict Adobe_AGM_Utils eq {end} if
    %%EndPageSetup
Note that the issue is only generated by the printing through a driver in pass through mode. Setting print as image is not an option as the produced spool file is to large.
Additionally, the paper size cannot be resized and must have the (above) option set during printing - any other permutations of the "Size" options during printing cause issues during printing (e.g. A3 -> A4 or mixed A4/3 -> A4).
    Thanks in advance
    Cheers

Oops, I forgot to NOTE: this only happens when I'm printing a pdf from online.  If I'm printing from a saved file from my computer adobe reader works just fine. so it's something with the settings of adobe reader and my browser.  I use chrome, always have and I'm just now experiencing issues these past couple of weeks.  I'm sure it's just a simple little box to check or uncheck or something, so I'm hoping someone can steer me in the right direction.
    Thanks!

  • On iCloud pages how can you put a header on only the first page and not the second page?

I'm trying the do a visual report and every time I put a header on the first page it goes to the next page and if I try to delete it on the second page it deletes on the first page too.

  • How does one skip numbering on the first page?

When I was in school I was able to produce sets of documents which were automatically numbered in the header, but the 1 on page 1 was not shown. I don't remember it being a pain in the *** to set up, but I'll be damned if I can figure out how to do it now...???

    Go to Document,
    then Section,
    then in Headers and Footers
you should see option to Hide on first page of section

  • HT203167 ive accidentally deleted an app off the first page of my phone, and i cant remember what it is. ive checked the app purchased history and none of the apps there match. Where could it be? And how can i find it?

    Hi,
I was wondering if you could help me with my predicament i have with the question i have above if you could help that would be much appreciated.
    Thanks

Then why does it show the pdf files as book covers with different colours and then as they are scanned, switches to the first page?

  • First page loaded

This may be a stupid question but here goes. We have several JSP apps where the first page loaded is other than main.html. We have tried changing the default run target to another file but it still tries to load main.html. We have worked around this by using a javascript function to forward the page from main.html, but this is very sloppy.
When I say "first page loaded" I mean that when you type the URL without any file specified:
    http://some.domain.com/OurProject/
In traditional HTML, you need to have an index.html, but I assumed that the "start" page for JSP could be anything.
    Any ideas??
BTW, we are using JDev 9.0.4

I assume this is when the application is deployed, right?
You should just have to change the value for welcome-file-list in the web.xml.

  • Multiple first pages

I have about 20 documents in which the content only changes on the first page. The other 5 pages the content is exactly the same. I was wondering what is the best way to manage this. I'm using InDesign CS4.
    Donna

Unfortunately it is the content text the changes. I would have to have 20 different master pages just for the first page. Maybe layers would work. I need to look into that more. I watched a video on the Conditional text feature - that seems more for when you have only small various of text. In my documents the text is very different from each version on just that one page.

  • I can't put a link if it's not the first page.

    Hello!
I'm trying to put a link on the page number 6. When I put my link, it works perfectly, but when I save it in PDF, then it doesn't work!
If I put the same link on the first page, and I save it in PDF, it works... So, it works only if I put the link on the first page, but on other pages not.
    What can I do?
    Thanks!

Pages 5 is full of bugs, this is just one of them.
Apple has removed over 100 features from Pages 5.

  • Only shows first page after interactive sort.

We've developed a number of reports on Reporting Services 2005. These are going to be displayed to the users via a browser embedded in an application using the standard ReportServer URLs, with the toolbar and parameters hidden. Parameters are passed via
    the URL.
As there is no toolbar, for multi-page reports pages are displayed below each other, with a gap and the header row (column names) repeated. This is how we want it to be. The problem comes if you add an interactive sort to a column. It displays fine initially
with the pages below one another as before, but when you click the interactive sort only the first page is displayed and there is no way to access the subsequent pages as the toolbar is hidden and they're not displayed below as we want them to be. Is there
    any way around this?

    Hi Andy_Cap,
    Thanks for your question.
According to your description, it seems like for different pages of one specified report, you using one WebBrowser control in your application,
the WebBrowser’s URL is one report’s standard URL in ReportServer, you had hidden the toolbar and parameters of the report, so you passed the parameters via URL. Although you had added interactive sort to the report, when clicked on the column,
just the first page changed, the other pages have no effect, right? If I misunderstand your question, please let me know.
Based on previous understanding, I had tried to reproduce the scenario on my local computer, it works fine. My approach is
setting the report’s InteractiveSize is 0, thus all of the data will being displayed in one webpage and the Interactive sort has effect.
    1. Double-click the report in the Solution Explore, select Report in the Properties window.
    2. Locate to the property of InteractiveSize, expand it, set the Width’s value is 0cm.
Hope it help you. If there is anything unclear, please feel free let me know.
    Thanks,
    Sharp Wang

  • Printing only first page landscape not portrait

    Acrobat Standard for Windows v.8
When using Acrobat to print any PDF document, the first page is printed in landscape instead of portrait, the rest of the pages print as expected. This is reproduceable behavior on a single machine. Printing the PDF using other applications like InDesign or eCopy Desktop print as expected. Only Acrobat is exhibiting this behavior.
Acrobat has been reapired, uninstalled and reinstalled, printer drivers reinstalled with no success. The work around I have figured out (as a temporary solution so the user can print documents properly) is to select to print the PDF in landscape orientation in the print driver when printing from Acrobat, which prints the whole document in portrait orientation, essentially what was supposed to happen in the first place. This orientation change only seems to affect the first page and doesn't have any affect on duplex orientation.
Does anyone have a solution to this one? Or some direction? Thanks in advance.

    Try one of these:
1/ In Adobe, deselect "Choose Paper based on PDF size" - you can leave the "Auto Rotate and Center" on.
2/ In Adobe, go into Advanced and choose "Print as Image".
3/ If this is a Canon H1 Fiery RIP, go into Printer Properties, Printing Preferences, Layout, Rotate 180degrees and choose "Large Paper Only."
