Do you know why i cant drag and drop virables FROM TABLES to the form?
in version ERP2005

Call transaction I18N.
Expand the folder 'I18N Customizing' then double click on 'MS Word as Editor'.
On the next screen remove the check-boxes and activate. This is set system wide, so make sure there are no fans of the new editor in your development team.

Please check if the description is available in the database table from where you are selecting it. It might not be maintained there and hence would not be printing.

Smartform query most urgent....

Hello logic thinkers,
the problem is that i need to import the internal table from print program into smartform...
the structure of the internal table consists of different fields from different tables, but in smartform while defining the internal table i need to give the reference type...(declaring the struture in global definition is not working).
for this there r two ways as per my knowledge to create 1.type-pool and 2.structure in se11...
but here i dont want to use the strutures... and type-pool is not working...
can any one help me in this issue.. its very important so that the object to be deliver with in time...

Yes you can do it. In the Global Definitions node, go to Types tab and type in your structure.
Example : Types : Begin Of ly_MARM,
 MATNR Like MARM-MATNR,
 MEINH Like MARM-MEINH,
 UMREZ Like MARM-UMREZ,
 UMREN Like MARM-UMREN,
 End Of ly_MARM .
and in Global data tab type in the following
Varible Name : G_MARM
Type assignment : TYPE
Associated Type : LY_MARM
Now you can use G_MARM for your output.

Smartform : Printing Problem , Urgent Please

Dear All,
When I tried to print a smartform, I am Getting message 'Spool Request (number xxxxxx ) is created' .
but It is not printing.
I am facing this problem only with this form. I could print other forms / Scripts.
What might be the error ? Please Let me Know ..

You can do that in two ways. Once is to set it in the USER DEFAULTS. Go to SU01 and you can see a tab for DEFAULTS.. There will be a check box for PRINT IMMEDIATELY.
Or you can do that in the SMART Form parameters also. In the OUTPUT_OPTIONS parameters ther is a field TDIMMED. Set that to 'X'. That should print the form immediately.

i know how and from where to fetch data but how we get a format where
at the end of main window i get total, tax ,and net amount in above format,
and how to draw horizantal and vertical lines in form main window

Put this into FOOTER section of your Table. Create texts for the all three subnodes.
SO, your smartform will look like
MAIN WINDOW
> TABLE
    > HEADER
    > MAIN
      > YOUR RECORDS
    > FOOTER
      >total
      > tax
      > net

SMARTFORMS - language translation (urgent)

Hi,
I developed a smartform in English language. Now I want to translate this form into Finnish language. So, I went to SE63->Translation->R/3->Other long texts->Forms and styles->SSF. Provided the form name, source and target languages clicked the Edit button. In the edit screen, I inserted the translated hardcoded text in the target form. Then clicked save and activate. It says saved and activated.
My question is, how to checked the tranlated form now?
Anyone please let me know the proceedure. I will appreciate the help with points. Thanks

Please note that there is no need to create a smartform in multiple languages as we are doing in SAP scripts.
You can Copy the smarttform by setting a flag in smartforms :
Use T/code : SMARTFORMS --> enter Samrtform name --> Form Attributes --> General Attributes > Language attributes> Language--> Translate to selected langauges/all langauges.
For Translations :
Please use T/code SE63> Translation(Menubar) > R/3 Enterprise>Other long texts> SSF (Smartforms)>Enter Samrtformname-> Define source language and target langauge.
or
se63 -> translation -> R/3 Enterprise -> other Longtexts -> Smartforms -> select your form
-> translate

Layout problem with smartform..Little Urgent

Hi gurus,
I have a window of size 1 cm.. In this i want to print a number which should be of the same size as the window(1 cm in height). But the maximum font i can give in the character format is 99 pt. and this is making the number to printed in less than half the area provided for it.
Please tell me how i can increase the font for the number so that it fits the window fully.

Hi,
you have given window size of 1 cm in that only the character font of less then 20 can be fitted I think you are giving the font size or the font family so that it takes default font of system so it is coming as so. In your system go to
-> Go to SE73 ->select system fonts and go with display.
-> Now check the font size and family that you are providing.
-> Now in the character format of the style provide the font family and size that is in the system fonts.

So my output is in IT_FINAL table.In smartform in Form Interface Table column i had declare :::

Here is the procedure
1. Create a new smartforms
Transaction code SMARTFORMS
Create new smartforms call ZSMART
2. Define looping process for internal table
Pages and windows
First Page -> Header Window (Cursor at First Page then click Edit -> Node -> Create)
Here, you can specify your title and page numbering
&SFSY-PAGE& (Page 1) of &SFSY-FORMPAGES(Z4.0)& (Total Page)
Main windows -> TABLE -> DATA
In the Loop section, tick Internal table and fill in

Make used of the Table Painter and declare the Line Type in Tabstrips Table

Tick the New Line and specify the Line Type for outputting the data.

SMARTFORMS STEPS.
1. In Tcode se11 Create a structure(struct) same like the Internal table that you are going to use in your report.
2. Create Table type(t_struct) of stracture in se11.
3. In your program declare Internal table(Itab) type table of structure(struct).
4. Define work area(wa) like line of internal table.
5. Open Tcode Smartforms
6. In form Global setting , forminterface Import parameter define Internal table(Itab) like table type of stracture(t_struct).
7. In form Global setting , Global definitions , in Global data define Work area(wa) like type stracture(struct).
8. In form pages and window, create Page node by default Page1 is available.
9. In page node you can create numbers of secondary window. But in form there is only one Main window.
10. By right click on page you can create windows or Go to Edit, Node, Create.
11. After creating the window right click on window create table for displaying the data that you are passing through internal table.
12. In the table Data parameter, loop internal internal table (Itab) into work area(wa).
13. In table there are three areas Header, Main Area, Footer.
14. Right click on the Main area create table line by default line type1 is there select it.
15. Divide line into cells according to your need then for each cell create Text node.
16. In text node general attribute. Write down fields of your work area(wa) or write any thing you want to display.
17. Save form and activate it.
18. Then go to Environment, function module name, there you get the name of function module copy it.
19. In your program call the function module that you have copied from your form.
20. In your program in exporting parameter of function pass the internal table(itab).
SAP Smart Forms is introduced in SAP Basis Release 4.6C as the tool for creating and maintaining forms.
SAP Smart Forms allow you to execute simple modifications to the form and in the form logic by using simple graphical tools; in 90% of all cases, this won't include any programming effort. Thus, a power user without any programming knowledge can
configure forms with data from an SAP System for the relevant business processes.
To print a form, you need a program for data retrieval and a Smart Form that contains the entire from logic. As data retrieval and form logic are separated, you must only adapt the Smart Form if changes to the form logic are necessary. The application program passes the data via a function module interface to the Smart Form. When activating the Smart Form, the system automatically generates a function module. At runtime, the system processes this function module.
You can insert static and dynamic tables. This includes line feeds in individual table cells, triggering events for table headings and subtotals, and sorting data before output.
You can check individual nodes as well as the entire form and find any existing errors in the tree structure. The data flow analysis checks whether all fields (variables) have a defined value at the moment they are displayed.
SAP Smart Forms allow you to include graphics, which you can display either as part of the form or as background graphics. You use background graphics to copy the layout of an existing (scanned) form or to lend forms a company-specific look. During printout, you can suppress the background graphic, if desired.
SAP Smart Forms also support postage optimizing.

SmartForms System Fields
Within a form you can use the field string SFSY with its system fields. During form processing the system replaces these fields with the corresponding values. The field values come from the SAP System or are results of the processing.

Displays the date. You determine the display format in the user master record.
&SFSY-TIME&
Displays the time of day in the form HH:MM:SS.
&SFSY-PAGE&
Inserts the number of the current print page into the text. You determine the format of the page number (for example, Arabic, numeric) in the page node.
&SFSY-FORMPAGES&
Displays the total number of pages for the currently processed form. This allows you to include texts such as'Page x of y' into your output.
&SFSY-JOBPAGES&
Contains the total page number of all forms in the currently processed print request.
&SFSY-WINDOWNAME&
Contains the name of the current window (string in the Window field)
&SFSY-PAGENAME&
Contains the name of the current page (string in the Page field)

Is set to 'X' after a page break (either automatic [Page 7] or command-controlled [Page 46])

Calling Smartforms from Module pool: Most Urgent

how can I call smartforms from module pool.
I have done like below.
First Created a push button on screen and used
these code in user command through PAI

Well, as it's most urgent....
One you have a value in V_FORM_NAME you need to call this function module, passing the fields and strucures that make up the interface to your form.
Eg.
DATA: DEVICE TYPE SSFCTRLOP .
DEVICE-DEVICE = 'PRINTER'.
DEVICE-NO_DIALOG = 'X'.
CALL FUNCTION V_FORM_NAME

Problem in executing a smartform URGENT!!

HI,
I created a template in my layout and created a structure
z_tab which i had to pass in the smartform now
my problem is
in form interface i gave i_tab type z_tab
and in template-> text iam adding a feild&i_tab-raw&( this is my feild name which i have to show in output) and in se38 my interface program i gave the necessary.
But iam getting error saying
"Reference field I_TAB-RAW unknown in form."
please help its urgent

URGENT!! Smartform : graphical edition impossible!

Hi,
I created a Smartform for Delivery Note with its print program in a newly upgraded ECC6.0 system. I customized in NACE in proper column.
When I try to print it via VL02N, the message is:
"Graphical edition impossible"
Does anyone know how to solve this problem??

Very Urgent Text Modules - Smartform in diff lang

Hi,
Could any one give me a detailed info on how to use one text module in Smartform to other languages without logging into the system in that language.
I tried Example in the thread containing as below nut unable to succeed.

so wht i am suggesting is give the &CONTROL_PARAMETERS-REPLANGU1& (if it contain the Language)..
in Language tab.. Press the button right side of this element ">" then the text box will be become large.. then enter &CONTROL_PARAMETERS-REPLANGU1&..
